Davina's POV
I went completely still. My eyes grew huge with disbelief as the officer's statement echoed around us. "What?" I managed to say, my words coming out as barely a breath.
The cop's face stayed blank and professional. "You heard me - you can leave. Head to that counter and grab your stuff. I'm gonna go let your family out."
My knees turned to water as I stumbled toward the counter. I was in complete shock. What the hell just went down?
Irvin actually pulled through for me? I want to break down, I want to sob until there's nothing left. As I gathered my phone and other items, I couldn't stop the warmth spreading through my chest.
My mom and siblings walked out of the holding cell, glancing around like they couldn't believe it. Their stares found me.
"You positive about this?" I hear my mother question the female officer, her tone completely baffled.
"What the hell, how?"
"How in the world...?" Dotty started.
