Chapter 5: Farewell
A few days passed in a flash.
In Pang Lai's room.
"Fei Yang, this ring contains the things I prepared for you. I've also arranged your enrollment at Tian Lan Magic High School in Bo City. Because you said you wanted to lie low, I didn't personally step forward. Instead, I had an old friend help you with it."
Pang Lai sat in the grand armchair, placing the ring on Ye Feiyang's index finger, and spoke earnestly.
Ye Feiyang looked down at the ring on his finger, his eyes warm. He nodded, then teased him.
"Old man, don't worry, even if I'm not in the Imperial Capital, I won't embarrass you. As for you, you already reached the pinnacle of four elements many years ago, yet you still haven't taken that final step. Isn't that a bit too pathetic?"
Pang Lai's reluctance at their parting was dispelled by Ye Feiyang's words. He laughed and scolded him.
"You little rascal, you've only just awakened to magic, and you dare to look down on this old man's strength, which is half a Forbidden Curse!"
"Half a Forbidden Curse still isn't a Forbidden Curse, is it? I think you're just blinded by titles like 'Nation's Number One Summoner' and 'Chief of the Imperial Palace,' becoming complacent and losing that initial passion and drive for learning magic. That's why you've been unable to cross that step."
Ye Feiyang mumbled softly.
All of Ye Feiyang's words, by chance, were heard by Pang Lai.
Upon hearing this, Pang Lai's body trembled, and a trace of confusion flickered in his eyes.
Watching Pang Lai sit blankly in the chair, Ye Feiyang cupped his hands and turned to leave. He murmured to himself.
"Old man, I hope these words can help you find your original intention."
After leaving the room, Ye Feiyang spoke to the silver-haired old man in a Zhongshan suit standing at the door.
"Uncle Fu, let's go."
"Understood, Young Master."
The old man, called Uncle Fu, respectfully nodded and turned to leave.
Ye Feiyang quickly walked back to his room. A large snakeskin bag lay on the bed. Ye Feiyang picked up the large snakeskin bag, then slung it over his back, and walked outside.
Outside, Uncle Fu drove a low-key black car and stopped at the entrance of the courtyard.
Ye Feiyang opened the car door, first placing the snakeskin bag in the back seat, then getting into his seat and holding the snakeskin bag in his arms.
Seeing Ye Feiyang cherish the snakeskin bag so much, Uncle Fu smiled knowingly and started the car.
The black car sped along the highway.
"Uncle Fu, we've arrived at the high-speed rail station. You can go back now."
Ye Feiyang glanced out the car window and said softly.
"Young Master Fei Yang, you can't go to Bo City without someone to look after you, so the Master has asked me to go with you to Bo City."
Uncle Fu's face showed a faint smile as he said in a deep voice.
Upon hearing this, Ye Feiyang merely nodded and said nothing.
He was already overjoyed that Uncle Fu was going with him to Bo City. Although Uncle Fu had never shown his strength in front of them, appearing like a kind and benevolent old butler, he would never truly consider Uncle Fu just an ordinary butler. As Pang Lai's butler, how could Uncle Fu be an ordinary person?
However, though Ye Feiyang was curious about Uncle Fu's strength, he didn't ask, because ever since he was little, he had tried various methods—direct questioning, hinting, and more—but had never managed to find out Uncle Fu's true strength.
Each time he asked, Pang Lai and Uncle Fu would just smile and brush it off.
The old man and the young man walked into the high-speed rail station. Countless passengers and pedestrians turned their heads, mainly because Ye Feiyang had an extraordinary demeanor, but his simple attire, coupled with the snakeskin bag on his back, made him look like a rather refined migrant worker. Following behind him was Uncle Fu, dressed as a butler. Such a combination would be hard not to notice anywhere.
Ignoring the surprised gazes of passersby, Uncle Fu and Ye Feiyang calmly checked their tickets and went through security.
Just as they were going through security, Uncle Fu seemed to sense something. He subtly glanced to the side, a faint smile appearing on the corner of his mouth.
"My little princess, that kid Fei Yang has already passed security. Do you still need your brother to beat him up for you to vent your anger? In a little while, he'll be boarding the train and leaving the Imperial Capital."
A voice, doting yet tinged with helplessness, slowly sounded.
In a corner of the high-speed rail station, two people stood, a man and a woman. The woman was Jiang Shaoxu, and the man was handsome and appeared gentle and refined.
The previous words had come from the man's mouth.
"Brother, Uncle Fu is with him, you won't have a chance to act. When we go back, help me cultivate well. In three years, I'm going to personally smash Ye Feiyang's dog head."
Jiang Shaoxu said fiercely.
"Could you let go of my clothes before you say that?"
Looking down at the small hand clutching his clothes, the young man helplessly rubbed his forehead. She clearly couldn't bear to part with that kid Ye and wanted to see him off, but felt it was beneath her dignity. She had brought him along, claiming she wanted to teach him a lesson, but once here, she had only watched from afar.
Although he thought Jiang Shaoxu was being rather pathetic, no matter what, she was his biological sister, so he could only spoil her.
"Alright, he's already boarded the train. We should head back too. Don't forget, I only got you half a day off. You still have to go back to school this afternoon."
The young man sighed softly, reaching out to pat Jiang Shaoxu's head, his eyes full of affection, and said softly.
"Mm."
Jiang Shaoxu nodded, casting a reluctant glance at the high-speed rail station, then turned and left.
Ye Feiyang saw Jiang Shaoxu leave through the glass and sighed slightly.
"Young Master, if you can't bear to part with Miss Jiang, we could always shorten our time in Bo City."
Uncle Fu said.
Ye Feiyang slowly shook his head, holding the snakeskin bag as he walked towards the waiting area.
Seeing this, Uncle Fu said nothing more and followed him.
After boarding the bullet train to Bo City, Ye Feiyang looked at the rapidly moving scenery outside the window. He had imagined his feelings many times before going to Bo City: excitement, joy, anxiety...
But when he actually sat on the bullet train heading to Bo City, Ye Feiyang found that there was no ripple in his heart. It was very calm.
"Buzz buzz buzz!!!"
Ye Feiyang heard the vibration, took his phone out of his pocket, and looked at the screen.
Brother-in-law!
Ye Feiyang answered the phone, cheerfully saying,
"Jun Ge, thank you for this. I'll treat you to drinks when I return to the Imperial Capital."
"Don't give me that, kid. What did you say to my sister that day? A Xu locked herself in her room after she came back and didn't even eat dinner."
Jiang Shaojun's somewhat annoyed voice came through the phone.
"Didn't say anything."
Ye Feiyang's face showed a hint of awkwardness as he prevaricated.
How could he tell Jiang Shaojun that his sister misunderstood he was going to Bo City to find women?
If he dared to say that, Jiang Shaojun would definitely come to Bo City and smash his head in.
Jiang Shaojun suddenly changed the subject, his tone becoming somewhat lighthearted, and by the end, he even laughed out loud.
"But it's good that you're gone, kid. These past few days, A Xu has been very diligent in controlling her Star Seed, even actively seeking out my father, saying she wants a Star Seed control magic tool to quickly improve her cultivation and smash your dog head in three years. Hahaha~"
Hearing Jiang Shaojun's laughter, Ye Feiyang's face showed a hint of bitterness, but his eyes revealed a trace of relief.
"Jun Ge, take good care of A Xu."
"My sister, I will naturally take good care of her. You take care of yourself when you arrive in Bo City."
