Chapter 9: Transfer Student
Tian Lan Magic High School, Principal's Office.
"Principal Zhu, I've troubled you."
Ye Feiyang sat on the guest sofa, holding a cup of tea, and spoke.
"No trouble at all, Young Master Ye. For you to come from the Imperial Capital to our Bo City for school, it truly makes our Bo City shine."
Principal Zhu, sitting opposite Ye Feiyang, quickly waved his hand upon hearing this, a wide smile on his face, and flattered him.
"Which class does Young Master Ye prefer? If you don't have one in mind, would you like me to arrange one for you?"
Facing Principal Zhu's fawning flattery, Ye Feiyang's heart remained calm. Because of his master, he had never lacked sycophants around him since childhood.
He also knew very well that those people, including Principal Zhu, only fawned over him because of his background. If he came from an ordinary background, let alone making Principal Zhu flatter him, he wouldn't even be able to meet Principal Zhu unless Principal Zhu had the time and was willing.
Ye Feiyang took a sip of tea and said indifferently.
"I'd like to see who the homeroom teachers are for each of your classes first, and then I'll decide."
"Please wait a moment, Young Master Ye."
Principal Zhu said respectfully, then got up and walked to his desk.
"Here's the list."
Principal Zhu took out a piece of paper from a drawer, a hint of joy on his face, then quickly walked over to Ye Feiyang and bent down to hand him the paper.
Ye Feiyang took the paper and pretended to examine it carefully. He then spoke.
"Xue Musheng—that name sounds good. I'll go to his class."
"Alright, Young Master Ye, I'll arrange it right away."
Principal Zhu said respectfully, then picked up the phone on his desk.
"Teacher Xue, please come to my office."
If it weren't for the fact that Ye Feiyang genuinely looked at the list, Principal Zhu would have thought that Ye Feiyang came here just to be in Xue Musheng's class.
After a while, a scholarly-looking man with glasses pushed open the door and walked in.
The man saw Ye Feiyang sitting on the sofa, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes, then looked at Principal Zhu and adjusted his glasses.
"Principal Zhu, what did you need me for?"
"This is Ye Feiyang. He's transferring from a high school in the Imperial Capital to our school. I'll leave him to you."
Principal Zhu said with a smile, introducing him to Xue Musheng. When he mentioned the Imperial Capital, he deliberately emphasized the words.
Xue Musheng was not a rookie in the workplace; he instantly understood Principal Zhu's hint.
He then looked at Ye Feiyang and said warmly.
"Fei Yang, if you have any issues in class from now on, just tell me."
"Understood, Teacher Xue."
Ye Feiyang nodded, a faint smile on his face.
"Class, just now, we've had another transfer student join our class. Let's give a warm round of applause to Ye Feiyang."
Xue Musheng led Ye Feiyang back to the classroom, stood on the podium, and said loudly.
After speaking, Xue Musheng clapped his hands, and although the students in the class were somewhat surprised and curious about Ye Feiyang's arrival, they all clapped in welcome.
The students in their seats were observing Ye Feiyang, and Ye Feiyang was also observing them.
"Sitting in the front row, a guy who, although his looks still have some gap compared to mine, can still be called a handsome man—that should be Mu Bai."
"The person who looks thin and small, like a mud monkey, should be Zhang Xiaohou. The one who looks sloppy and is sitting in the back row must be Mo Fan."
Xue Musheng looked at the seat next to Mu Bai and said.
"Fei Yang, why don't you sit..."
But Xue Musheng's words were cut short by Ye Feiyang. He pointed in a direction.
"Teacher, I think that seat is good."
"Then you can sit there."
Xue Musheng nodded helplessly. Faced with Ye Feiyang from the Imperial Capital, he didn't dare to interfere; it had to be whatever Ye Feiyang said.
Seeing Xue Musheng nod, Ye Feiyang walked towards the seat.
The spot Ye Feiyang pointed to was the corner by the window at the back of the classroom.
Ye Feiyang chose that spot for two reasons: one, it offered a view, suitable for slacking off; two, Mo Fan was sitting next to him.
"Brother, did you also get in through the back door?"
As soon as Ye Feiyang sat down, a low voice entered his ears.
Ye Feiyang looked in the direction of the voice and saw the sloppy man, smiling and nodding.
"Brother, what's your name? I'm Mo Fan, and I also got in through the back door."
The sloppy-looking man said enthusiastically.
"Indeed."
Hearing the man introduce himself, Ye Feiyang thought to himself, then spoke.
"Ye Feiyang."
After speaking, Ye Feiyang lay on his desk, seemingly sleeping, but actually engaging in Meditation. As for those few disobedient Star Seed, Ye Feiyang handed them over to Ziling for some proper training, and once he had full control over all the Summoning Star Seed, he would 'favor' them and check on Ziling's training progress.
In the conscious space.
Ziling's petite figure hung high in the dome within the spatial Star Dust, while seven spatial Star Seed obediently surrounded it, allowing it to manipulate them into any shape.
Seeing the Star Seed so obedient, Ziling occasionally let out excited chirps, its tail wagging.
While Ziling was training the Star Seed, the Summoning Star Dust was also absorbing the surrounding dim light spots, slowly growing stronger little by little.
"Class, this lesson, let's review the knowledge we've learned before: the release of magic.
To release magic, three steps are required.
The first step is Meditation. When a person closes their eyes, their mind is actually constantly conjuring various images. But if they think of nothing and are undisturbed, their mind is a blank slate!
After a Mage awakens, the Star Dust of their corresponding system will appear in this blank world. They use their will to control the Star Dust to absorb the surrounding free-floating energy, which can enhance their magical cultivation. I won't demonstrate this in class; you should practice more on your own.
The second step is control. Simply having cultivation is not enough to release magic. Every Mage who wants to release magic, in addition to having sufficient cultivation, also needs to control the Star Seed. Only by arranging the Star Seed in the Star Dust in specific positions to form a complete Star Orbit can magic be released.
The third and final step is release. As the name suggests, it is to unleash the magic that has formed a Star Orbit within the Star Dust.
Although these three steps sound simple, they are indeed a compulsory course that every Mage must master."
Xue Musheng held a textbook, standing on the podium and speaking voluminously. When his peripheral vision caught sight of Ye Feiyang lying on his desk, Xue Musheng paused slightly, and the sound of his lecture that followed became a little softer.
Mo Fan saw Ye Feiyang lying on his desk and hesitated whether to wake him up. But after a while, Mo Fan's head unconsciously rested on his desk.
At this moment, their postures were surprisingly identical.
