Chapter 2: Sudden Enlightenment
Ye Feiyang slowly sat up from the rocking chair, looking at the girl walking towards him.
The girl wore a pure white gauze dress, her dark long hair tied up with a lace-edged bow.
A pair of naturally enchanting fox eyes, especially with a beauty mark on her face, added an age-inappropriate charm and allure to the girl's tender features. This pure yet seductive aura made people linger.
Although the girl was young, she already showed the potential of a beauty.
The girl, called A Xu, came to Ye Feiyang's side like a cheerful little rabbit, hopping and skipping.
A Xu's charming, alluring fox eyes blinked. Her voice was soft and delicate.
"Fei Yang, guess what Element I awakened?"
"I guess you probably awakened the Mind Element."
Looking at the girl's proud face, Ye Feiyang stroked his chin, pondered for a moment, and said in a gentle voice.
Upon hearing this, the smugness on the girl's face instantly vanished. She pouted and said, annoyed,
"How did you guess it so quickly? I thought you'd never figure it out!"
"Although I didn't go to school, that doesn't mean I'm not concerned about your awakening. In fact, the news was already conveyed to me when you awakened."
Ye Feiyang stood up from the rocking chair, reached out to touch the girl's soft hair, and said softly.
Hearing Ye Feiyang's words, the girl's previous annoyance vanished. The corners of her mouth curved slightly, revealing a shallow smile. She lay down in the rocking chair where Ye Feiyang had just been lying and hummed softly.
"This young lady forgives you for not going to school today."
"A Xu, I have to go."
Ye Feiyang looked at the girl's cheerful, pretty face, a flicker of struggle in his eyes, which then became firm. He said in a deep voice.
"A Xu."
"Hmm?"
The girl closed her eyes, enjoying the warm sunlight, and hummed softly.
"I have to go."
Ye Feiyang took a breath and slowly spoke.
"Where can someone as lazy as you go?"
The girl still had her eyes closed and chuckled softly.
"I'm planning to go to Bo City to attend high school there. I probably won't be back much in the next few years."
Ye Feiyang said lightly.
At this moment, the girl seemed to sense Ye Feiyang's determination to leave. She suddenly opened her eyes, sat up, and her fox eyes showed confusion.
"Bo City? Where is Bo City? Is it better than Imperial Capital High School?"
"Bo City is a small city in the south. As for the teaching level, how many high schools in the country do you think can compare to Imperial Capital High School?"
Ye Feiyang shook his head.
"If the teaching level isn't as good as the Imperial Capital, then why do you want to go?"
The confusion in the girl's eyes grew thicker. She tilted her head, looking at Ye Feiyang.
"Because that's where the story begins!"
Ye Feiyang muttered to himself. However, this sentence was destined to remain only in his thoughts; he couldn't confide it to others. He thought for a moment about what was different between Bo City and the Imperial Capital, then said lightly,
"It's precisely because it's not as good as the Imperial Capital that I want to go. There are too many geniuses in the Imperial Capital; it's not suitable for me."
"If you're going to Bo City, I want to go too."
The girl lifted her chin and said.
"It's not impossible for you to go, but are you sure Jun Ge, and your aunt and uncle, would agree?"
Ye Feiyang nodded, a half-smile on his face.
Upon hearing this, the girl immediately stopped speaking.
After a while, a hint of slyness flashed in the girl's eyes, and she said sweetly,
"You want to go to that Bo City, and it's obvious you're going there to be lazy. Do you think Chief Pang will let you go?
As long as your master doesn't agree, let alone going to Bo City, it will be difficult for you to even leave this courtyard."
Hearing the girl's words, Ye Feiyang was speechless. Because A Xu was right, his biggest difficulty in going to Bo City was convincing his master.
Without his master's approval, he really might not even be able to leave this courtyard. Even if he went to Bo City, he wouldn't be able to attend Tian Lan Magic High School.
"So, you should obediently study at Imperial Capital High School. With your master's support, you will also be a top-notch Archmage in the country in the future."
A Xu saw that Ye Feiyang wasn't speaking, and her mood suddenly brightened. She laughed.
"Oh right, what Element did you awaken for your Elementary Awakening?"
"Summoning Element."
Ye Feiyang answered distractedly. His mind was no longer here, but rather on how to convince his master.
After all, just as A Xu said, everyone else was scrambling to go to bigger places, while he was actively running to a small place. Anyone would find it strange.
"Wouldn't that be perfect for inheriting your master's mantle? Others want to get into Imperial Capital High School but can't, yet you're thinking of running off to a small place. It's truly inconceivable."
A Xu said, shifting her gaze to Jiang Yu next to her.
"Jiang Yu, tell me, am I right?"
At this moment, Jiang Yu was lying in a rocking chair. A small, shiny black cat had appeared in his arms at some point.
Jiang Yu's hands continuously stroked the cat's smooth back.
The little black cat slowly wagged its tail, its eyes radiating comfort and pleasure.
It lay lazily on Jiang Yu's lower abdomen.
Hearing the sound, Jiang Yu's hands didn't stop. He turned his head to look at Ye Feiyang and said,
"Senior Brother, I think A Xu is right. If you stay here in the Imperial Capital, Master can arrange everything for you. But if you go to Bo City, Master will definitely be angry. If Master makes you rely on yourself to struggle..." Jiang Yu's words struck Ye Feiyang's heart, greatly impacting his soul.
"That's right, if his master agreed to let him go to Bo City, but on the condition that he wouldn't be given any resources during his time there, forcing him to rely on himself to struggle, what would he do? Even if he begged his master to go to Tian Lan Magic High School, what then? Not to mention cultivation resources, the simple problem of daily necessities would consume most of his energy, let alone cultivation.
As for working part-time and being self-reliant in Bo City? Wouldn't it be better for him to be a young master in the Imperial Capital who is waited on hand and foot and only needs to cultivate every day? Giving up the privileged life in the Imperial Capital to struggle and suffer in Bo City? He wasn't a masochist. How could he possibly do that?"
"I seem to have taken everything for granted. But..."
Ye Feiyang gave a self-deprecating smile. He suppressed the idea of going to Bo City deep in his heart.
"I understand. I'll reconsider the matter of going to Bo City."
"By the way, if you really want to go to Bo City, you could just skip a few days of class or go visit during the holidays. There's no need to insist on studying there, is there?"
A Xu said, puzzled.
"That's right, why am I so fixated on studying in Bo City? I just need to know Mo Fan's current age and grasp the timeline!"
Upon hearing this, Ye Feiyang suddenly felt enlightened. Even his mind and body felt much clearer. Excited, he reached out, picked up the girl sitting in the rocking chair, and spun her around a few times.
"A Xu, thank you so much!"
