Chapter 3 - Night of passion

No! No!

Panic surged through me, as I found myself swallowed by the dark room. I couldn't even see the door. Did I fall into Zhen Rui's trap again? Dread consumed me, and I felt like I couldn't breathe.

What do I do?!

My body trembled as I knelt there in the darkness, my senses sharp, yet I could feel a cold stare boring holes into my body.

Please don't come near.

"What are you doing inside my room?" A cold, unfeeling voice drifted into my ears, and I jolted.

The voice was a trigger. The drug Zhen Rui gave me roared to life. My body began to burn, my skin flushed, and a mouth-watering desire consumed me.

Relief mixed with terror, the voice was cold, but it was not the slimy, hateful voice of the man who ruined me in my past life.

Sure it was cold, but it was just that. No snicker, and he is not even bothering to corner me.

"M...may I use your bathroom?" I stuttered. Only cold water could calm me down. I had to survive this night.

Once Yichen returns, I will give him the divorce papers and disappear from everybody's life. I can't throw everything away tonight.

But the stranger took a step forward.

Thunder roared outside the hotel, and the moonlight illuminated the room, yet my sight was still blurred. Judging from the muscles that packed his body, this man was a formidable presence.

Just for tonight...

'What are you thinking! Zhen Yi! You are a married woman?!' But my husband never considered me his wife.

I fought the thought, digging my nails into my palms, but my body failed me.

A strong hand caught me just as I was about to collapse. Everything happened so fast, and I found myself colliding into his chest. A clean, refreshing scent of soap and wine hit my senses. It was a distinctive scent, powerful and intoxicating.

"You smell so good," I muttered under my breath, the words stolen by the rising heat.

I couldn't think. My eyes cleared only a little bit, and the first thing that graced my sight was his lips. Without waiting for an invitation, I delved in, sucking and biting, desperate to quench a thirst that only intensified with every second.

My fingers worked it's way with my dress till I was left bare with only my underwear left.

I could hear his protest as he tried to push me away, but time was going. I was so hot and thirsty that I couldn't hold on anymore.

In one swift motion, he lifted me as though I weighed nothing, and the next thing I knew, my body sank into the warmth of a soft bed.

"You were the one who started this," his voice was low, unsteady, almost accusing. "Take responsibility."

The words barely reached me. All I could feel was the fire devouring me from within, and the absolute, terrifying power of the man above me.

I leaned up, pressing my lips against his jaw, tasting the faint bitterness of wine mixed with the clean scent of soap.

The storm swallowed the night, and so did he. By the time silence settled, I only wished that we would never meet again.

Never!

****

"Mhm~" A low moan escaped my lips as I stirred awake, kicking the covers away.

Only to wince when the first thing I felt was the ache in my body. A dull soreness spread through me as if I had been run over by a truck.

My lashes fluttered open, greeted by the pale morning light seeping through the curtains.

For a moment, I couldn't remember where I was, or who I was.

Everything began to reconnect in my brain as I laid there, groggily.

The sheets smelled of everything disastrous, but the most distinct one was the scent of wine and soap from—

Shit! I cheated!

The memories rushed back. My eyes snapped wide open. The Thunder, the darkness, the stranger's lips and everything we did last night.

My eyes snapped wide open. I sat up too quickly, wincing as pain lanced down my waist.

That bastard actually took my first time in this life. The quilt slipped, revealing the faint red marks scattered across my skin.

My face burned in shame, hotter than the drug I recklessly took last night to evade the one my sister gave me.

I was totally ruined.

I whipped my head to the other side of the bed. It was cold and utterly empty. I released a sharp gasp of relief. He left.

Please...let me never see him again. It was a desperate prayer. I didn't know who he was, but his power was scared the shit out of me.

The less I knew, the safer my secret would be.

It was a wishful thinking of mine, afterall it was a big world, but because of that. I hope we never cross path.

My phone chimed from the bedstand and I quickly stretched to look at it. It was a notification. Something big happened and I hoped it was not my story.

Before I could unlock my phone, a phone call came in quick, it was my mum, Madam Zhao.

What could be so urgent, she didn't let me reply to her messages.

I picked it up quickly.

"Good morning, Mother." I tried to sound as calm as possible even though I was panicking inside.

[What's so good about the morning?! Your sister has made a disgrace of the Zhen family! Hurry and clear this mess!]

She yelled.

I quickly hurled myself out of bed, wrapped in the quilt. What did Zhen Rui do this time? Judging from her tone, it was not about me. I rubbed my head in relief. I survived.

"Calm down mother, and tell me what exactly happened."

[Your sister was caught sleeping with not one man but two men in one room! The video is all over the net! Zhen Yi, I know you are married to Mo Yichen, but solve this mess or it would ruin the Zhen family!]

"What—" Before I could say anything more, she ended the call with a sharp click.

A wide, cold smile slowly spread across my face. The most important thing is that: The roles have been switched.
