Chapter 40 - Chapter 40: Rosalyne’s mindset collapsed; this is revenge, pure revenge.

Venti stared in astonishment at the dazzling qiankun mirror suspended in the air.

After a moment, the mirror disappeared.

Su Xuan's voice followed: "It's done. The tainted blood in Dvalin has been cleansed."

With the qiankun mirror's efficacy, Dvalin's tainted blood could be cleansed by two methods.

Either by rewinding his own time to five hundred years ago, or by removing the abnormal state within him, both could solve his problem.

Venti glanced at Dvalin's refreshed back; the blood clots from the tainted blood had vanished without a trace.

The tainted blood within Dvalin had indeed been purified.

"How did he do it?" Venti looked blankly at the nonchalant Su Xuan, his heart filled with immense shock.

That mirror, it must be related to that mirror.

But what exactly did that mirror do, that just by reflecting, it could cleanse the corrosion of the Abyss on Dvalin?

"Barbatos, huh…"

Dvalin's deep voice interrupted Venti, who was deep in thought.

He quickly ran over and asked, "Dvalin, how do you feel now?"

"Very comfortable, like I've been reborn." Dvalin shook his massive body, as if stretching his limbs.

The power that had bound him also vanished without a trace once his mind cleared.

Su Xuan stood not far away, quietly observing, not actively disturbing the reunion of the man and the dragon.

However, after a short while, Venti and Dvalin approached Su Xuan.

"Thank you, my benefactor." Dvalin lowered his proud dragon head, offering Su Xuan his highest gratitude.

"If you want to thank someone, go thank the Dandelion Knight of Mondstadt, Jean Gunnhildr." Su Xuan said indifferently: "If not for her request, I wouldn't have come to save you."

"However, Venti, let me see your Gnosis. I'll give it back after I've seen it."

Venti was stunned.

He didn't understand why Su Xuan wanted to borrow his Gnosis.

But, due to the incredibly abnormal and terrifying power Su Xuan had just displayed, Venti didn't say anything. He directly pulled out a green chess piece and handed it to Su Xuan.

"This is a Gnosis?" Su Xuan held Venti's Gnosis, looked at it against the sunlight, and then returned it to Venti's hand.

"Ah?" Venti was startled. "You're done looking?"

"Yes, I'm done." Su Xuan said leisurely. Then, he flipped his palm, and a chess piece identical to Venti's Gnosis appeared in his hand.

Venti: "?"

Dvalin: "?"

The beautiful girls observing were also utterly shocked by this scene.

Su Xuan's earlier claim about using the Authority of Reason to actualize things wasn't a joke; he had truly created a Gnosis, something only a god possesses.

"This is…?" Venti stared blankly at the Gnosis in Su Xuan's hand, then felt the Gnosis in his own hand.

Undoubtedly, Su Xuan hadn't done anything to his Gnosis; it remained untouched in his hand.

"Kind young man, what you have in your hand is…" Venti stammered, pointing at the Gnosis in Su Xuan's hand, his face filled with panic.

Brother! Who exactly are you, to be able to create a Gnosis in the blink of an eye?

Su Xuan remained silent, quietly sensing the Gnosis in his hand.

The Gnosis in his hand had no power whatsoever; it could even be described as an empty shell.

The main reason Su Xuan could think of for this result was that the power of the Gnosis's clearance did not originate from the Gnosis itself.

Instead, it came from Celestia or the divine throne it was connected to in the Akasha, whose location was unknown.

The Gnosis was more like a receiver of power or clearance, rather than an emitter of clearance power.

"I simply wanted to use your Gnosis for an experiment with one of my clearances, but now, it seems the experiment has failed."

Su Xuan didn't care about this at all. The Gnosis held no allure for him; it was completely useless in his hands.

He casually crushed the replicated emerald chess piece and then said calmly, "Everything's resolved. Go do what you need to do."

"I still need to stay here and try out some experiments with a few Ruin Guards."

"Also, I think you should know the Abyss Order's purpose in stationing Hilichurl tribes around Mondstadt recently."

"Go back quickly; don't follow me anymore."

Su Xuan waved his hand, shooing Venti and Dvalin away.

Venti's gaze, however, turned towards the tower.

The tower that had been uprooted earlier now stood perfectly intact again.

Although he didn't understand Su Xuan's true identity or why his power was so terrifying,

in Venti's heart, a clear image of Su Xuan had formed: This person must be a hero born facing the sun!

"Ehe! So, young man Su Xuan was doing an experiment. You should have said so earlier." Venti's eyes darted around.

"You knew my name all along, yet you kept calling me 'kind young man'." Su Xuan shook his head. "If there's nothing else, don't disturb my subsequent experiments. I still need to research the Ruin Guards."

"Wait a moment." Seeing Su Xuan about to leave, Venti quickly stopped him. "Since the first experiment failed, we shouldn't give up easily."

"Try a few more times, and maybe it will succeed."

"This thing isn't much use in my hands, so I'm giving it to you."

With that, Venti forcefully pressed his Gnosis into Su Xuan's hand.

Goth Grand Hotel, Mondstadt.

Rosalyne paced back and forth anxiously, unable to resist cursing at the light screen: "Is this light screen even working?"

"It only shows images but no sound?!"

"What did those two say to each other?!"

"Oh, my goodness, Barbatos actually gave his Gnosis to Su Xuan?!"

Rosalyne felt a sudden dizzy spell.

Didn't the Tsaritsa say that as long as they found Barbatos, they would obtain the Gnosis?

It sounded as if everything had already been discussed with Barbatos.

Yet, the bard handed the Gnosis to someone from outside this world.

"Damn it, Barbatos must be trying to use Su Xuan to retaliate against the Fatui's suppression of Mondstadt in recent years."

"A despicable and shameless act of using someone else to do his dirty work."
