An absolutely dark and silent place.
With the sudden appearance of a red space that seemed to possess life, flowing like blood, Jane Foster, caught off guard and pulled in, was once again shoved out, stumbling and staggering forward.
Ahead lay a bottomless abyss.
Jane's eyes widened in terror.
The next second. An arm landed on her shoulder, instantly stopping her halfway off the edge.
"Careful."
"..."
Jane instinctively turned around, looking at Hawke who appeared before her, her face filled with terror, instinctively backing away.
Then with a scream as her right foot slipped, Hawke could only reach out again and pull Jane back from the second near-fall into the bottomless abyss.
Hawke was somewhat speechless: "Again, be careful.
I saved you twice, I can't save you a third time."
Once, twice, but not a third time.
If Jane Foster were to act out a similar situation again, he definitely wouldn't intervene.
After all, no matter how much he tried to save her, he couldn't stop her from courting death.
After saying this, Hawke ignored Jane Foster and looked around the space. He then walked along the stone path to a large platform.
The space on this platform seemed to be in a state of weightlessness.
Countless broken, enormous black stone tablets floated upside down in every corner of the platform.
But what caught Hawke's attention the most was the huge, upside-down ruins of a torn Gothic spire church in the distance.
The ruins weren't the point.
The point was the black geometric device at the base of the church, exuding a deep and ominous aura. Within this geometric device, a liquid resembling viscous blood flowed, jumped, and swayed.
The Reality Stone! Also known as— the Aether!
Of the six Infinity Stones, the other five appeared in solid form, while only the Reality Stone was presented as a strangely flowing red liquid. But that wasn't important.
The important thing is that the Reality Stone is the Aether, and the Aether is the Reality Stone. That's enough.
Hawke looked at the Reality Stone flowing within the strange geometric device, so close to his eyes, and took a step towards it.
The next second. Crack!
Arcs of electricity crackled across the dark space of the strange geometric device, and then, a thick arc of electricity, as thick as an arm, instantly struck Hawke. Hawke raised an eyebrow, and his figure vanished from the spot in an instant.
Boom!
The arc of electricity pierced through Hawke's afterimage and struck a boulder behind him.
With a deafening explosion, the boulder instantly turned to dust, not even a tiny pebble scattering.
The bizarre geometric structure was covered with countless arcs of electricity, resembling wildly dancing silver snakes.
In an instant, the leaping, flashing silver arcs almost illuminated the entire sealed area.
The wildly swirling arcs transformed into a torrential downpour, relentlessly assaulting Hawke.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
What's going on?
Hawke's figure shifted and changed shape in the air, dodging the arcs his intuition told him he would be injured, his mind filled with confusion.
In the original story, Jane Foster didn't seem to encounter anything like this.
Hawke's thoughts raced, then, as if realizing something, he looked at the arcs of electricity that almost completely covered the sealed area, and after some aerial maneuvering, returned to his previous position.
As he retreated, the geometric device sealing the Aether flickered with electric arcs, but it didn't emit any more.
"Just as I thought!"
Hawke thought to himself.
It was just as he expected.
Rather than Jane Foster finding the Aether, it was more like the Aether specifically sought out Jane Foster and pulled her here.
The reason was simple:the Aether needed Jane Foster to leave this sealed place.
As for why it had to be Jane, well, she was Thor's girlfriend, possessing Thor's aura.
Long ago, when the king of Asgard was Thor's grandfather, Bauer, the Aether was in the hands of the Dark Elves.
After Bauer defeated the Dark Elves and seized the Aether, he intended to destroy it.
But if the Infinity Stones could be destroyed, would they still be called Infinity Stones?
Therefore, Bauer had to settle for second best, building a device to seal the Aether—the geometric device sealing the Aether before him.
Because this device was created by Thor's grandfather, Bauer, its attack mode naturally varies depending on the target.
Jane Foster is Thor's girlfriend, and from a certain perspective, if Thor insists, Jane Foster could become the Queen of Asgard in the future
Therefore, the device has no effect on Jane.
As for others?
Needless to say, just smash them.
For example, Hawk.
Hawk has no way to get close to the sealing device right now.
After all, this thing was created by Bauer, the previous king of Asgard, at his peak.
Hawk needs the Aether.
Bauer ignores and seals the Aether.
The difference in strength is obvious and doesn't need comparison.
So.
Hawk looked at the geometric device in front of him, where the arc of electricity gradually disappeared after he retreated, returning to calm and sealing the Aether, his eyes flickering.
Just then,Jane's voice rang out beside him.
"Who are you?"
"Where is this?"
Still reeling from the eerie surroundings, Jane, upon seeing the geometric device in the distance crackling with familiar arcs of electricity, snapped out of her shock and looked at Hawke standing before her, asking, "What's wrong with you?"
She had only been momentarily stunned, but now that she had recovered, it was clear that Hawke meant her no harm.
After all actions speak louder than words; Hawke's swift reflexes in dodging the arcs suggested he had no chance against her if he intended to harm her.
Hawke, hearing Jane's voice, glanced at her before refocusing his gaze on the geometric device sealing the ether particles.
Jane frowned, looking at Hawke who offered no response.
"Hello?"
"Don't rush me, I'm wondering if I should lie to you."
"…"
Jane's lips twitched.
"What?"
"I'm thinking about whether to tell you the truth or lie to you."
Hawke turned to look at Jane.
Jane looked at Hawke, whose expression was serious and who didn't seem to be joking at all.
She opened her mouth, then glanced again at the eerie and deathly silence around them.
"Where exactly is this place?"
Hawke shook his head.
"I don't know."
"Is that a lie?"
"No, it's the truth."
Hawke shook his head again. "I suspect this might be Watt Alheim, one of the Nine Realms."
He recalled the original plot.
Back then, the God-King Bauer, after obtaining the Aether, seemed to have sealed it in Watt Alheim.
But he wasn't entirely sure.
After all, that was a movie; this was reality.
Watt Alheim was the planet of the Dark Elves.
Using conventional logic, it was highly unlikely that someone would seal the Aether, obtained from the Dark Elves, on a Dark Elf planet.
It didn't make sense.
Jane paused for a moment, then blurted out, "Dark Elf?"
Hawke snapped out of his reverie, looked at Jane, and chuckled, "I almost forgot, when Thor came to Earth, he gave you a rundown of the Nine Realms."
Jane's expression brightened when Hawke mentioned Thor's name, and she looked at him.
"You know Thor?"
"No."
"..."
Jane's expression froze again.
She opened her mouth, then closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and forcibly swallowed back the phrase that almost escaped her lips.
After all, this place was eerie.
Although she felt that Hawke meant her no harm, what if he did?
Hawke chuckled at this, "That's true too. I know Thor, but I've never seen him, and he's never seen me."
Jane calmed her agitation, reopened her eyes, and remained silent, following Hawke's gaze to the strange geometric device that had just emitted the familiar aura of Thor's lightning.
She also saw the ominous aether particles flowing within the strange geometric device, resembling viscous blood.
Jane then looked at Hawke again: "You want what's in here, right?"
Once more.
She wasn't stupid; a fool couldn't become a doctor.
Hawke didn't look at Jane, but nodded, staring at the aether particles so close to him.
"Yes, but with the seal of the god-king Bauer, I can't get it."
"Bauer?"
"Thor's grandfather."
"Hiss!"
Jane gasped, her gaze also falling on the strange geometric device, then she realized: "You mean this thing was made by Thor's grandfather? No wonder, the lightning just now gave me a familiar feeling."
Hawke didn't speak.
Jane frowned again.
"Um, you want this thing, but I don't. Can you send me back first?"
"No."
"Why?"
"I only got in because I followed you."
Hawke chuckled, looking at Jane: "You think I dragged you in?"
Jane frowned.
"That's."
"Look."
Hawke pointed to the sealed aether particle and said to Jane, "That thing pulled you in. It wanted you to help it seal it, and I wanted to get it, so the truth is, I only got in here by following you."
"Me?"
Jane looked incredulous and pointed to herself.
"Why?"
"Because you're Thor's girlfriend."
Hawke shrugged.
"Only if you get close to this thing will it not strike you, after all, this thing was built by Grandpa Thor."
Jane's mind flashed back to the image of that strange device crackling with electricity, unleashing a barrage of attacks on Hawke, and her lips twitched.
"Really?"
"Don't believe me? Then try it yourself."
"I'll try it."
"…"
