Morpheus admitted he was genuinely intrigued by Annihilation Maker.
The ability to create beasts from imagination, with the strength and variety depending on the wielder's creativity, was fascinating.
Fortunately, the power scaled with the richness of imagination rather than sheer strength.
If it were based on strength, it would be utterly overpowered.
A wielder with a vivid imagination could theoretically conjure a mighty dragon god.
Sadly, the ability wasn't that broken.
Even so, it was still a Sacred Gear.
Morpheus found it compelling and accepted it.
Sirzechs, seeing this, smiled broadly. Though he parted with a powerful Sacred Gear, repaying such a significant favor was well worth it.
The deal was a steal.
After the transaction, Sirzechs bid Morpheus farewell with a smile, leaving with Rias.
Once they were gone, Morpheus immediately retreated to the Light Dimension, diving into the grimoires he'd just acquired, absorbing their knowledge.
They contained secrets of the gods, demonic magic, divine combat techniques, and even ancient mystic arts.
Each piece of knowledge and spell opened Morpheus's eyes.
Compared to these arcane secrets, the knowledge he'd learned from Medea and the magic he'd discussed with Rias were insignificant.
What a haul, what a haul!
Morpheus laughed with satisfaction.
The grimoires held an immense wealth of knowledge, any piece of which could shake the world.
Morpheus studied, mastered, and internalized this knowledge, combining it to innovate and create spells unique to him.
For instance, using the mystic art of cosmic mediation, combined with magical principles, he crafted a creation magic only he could wield.
With sufficient power, he could create mountains, rivers, and all things in existence.
He could even forge an entire world.
Talk about impressive.
Beyond that, Morpheus developed time magic, capable of pausing time, traveling to the future, or returning to the past.
Talk about impressive.
Now, he was undeniably a true Magic God.
Let's not forget, this chaotic world also incorporated Toaruverse.
In the Toaruverse, there exists a unique entity: the Magic God.
This is the state a magician reaches upon fully entering the divine realm.
Life must die, apples fall downward, one plus one equals two—these immutable "laws" of the world can be shattered, reshaped, and created anew with the magic recorded in these grimoires.
One plus one could become three, apples could fall upward, and the dead could rise.
Those capable of such feats are called Magic Gods.
A Magic God isn't a god by name but a magician who has mastered magic, stepped into the divine realm, and can freely twist all worldly laws—the ultimate form of a magician.
A complete Magic God commands all laws, wielding the power to destroy and recreate the world from scratch.
They can create anything necessary: wealth, fame, status, history, truth… even lives that have vanished.
The world contains inescapable fates, but those are merely clashes between Magic Gods' differing wills.
Such clashes effortlessly warp the world, profoundly affecting the destinies of all life.
Saints, beings born with special abilities, arise from these influences.
Magic Gods dominate all laws, reversing the flow of expanding galaxies, making one plus one equal three, stretching a meter's length, or altering a gram's weight.
They control life and death, manipulate all elements, and freely bend time, space, and dimensions.
Creating or destroying all things is a mere thought for a Magic God. By annihilating the world and remaking it, they can erase unwanted elements from existence entirely—a routine act for them.
Magic Gods can erase consciousness and reasons for conflict, making it nearly impossible for them to have enemies.
In other words, only another Magic God could oppose a Magic God.
The world is singular, and only Magic Gods vying for control over its limited resources can become their enemies.
Their power defies the world's logic, exceeding its limits. A single step from their hidden realm could shatter the world like glass.
To descend into the world, a Magic God must infinitely divide their boundless power, overlapping it into a form the world can barely tolerate.
Yet, no matter how much they weaken themselves, a Magic God retains the infinite power to overwhelm the entire world.
That is the Magic God of Toaruverse.
Incredibly formidable.
Their prestige is staggering.
But alas, this world isn't solely Toaruverse—it's a crossover amalgam of countless worlds.
With so many supernatural entities and fused worlds, the Magic God's prestige drops several tiers.
Destroying and reshaping the world with a mere gesture?
Impossible. Utterly impossible!
This world is far too mysterious for even a Magic God to easily destroy and recreate.
As a result, Magic Gods here aren't as lofty as in Toaruverse.
Even so, they remain terrifyingly powerful.
Having just become a Magic God, Morpheus understood their might intimately.
Here's the deal: before mastering the grimoires and becoming a Magic God, Morpheus might have been trapped by a true, complete Magic God.
Of course, a Magic God couldn't kill him.
If Morpheus couldn't defeat one, he could retreat to the Light Dimension.
Within the Light Dimension, he was omnipotent, akin to a complete Magic God. Even another Magic God entering couldn't best him.
But outside the Light Dimension, without its augmentation, Morpheus's immense power couldn't make him omnipotent.
Losing to a Magic God was only natural, showing just how formidable they truly were.
