Seraphine's POV
The accusation hit me harder than Rockford's slap ever could. My cheek burned from where his hand had connected, but the real pain came from watching Alpha Theodore's expression darken with doubt. Tears blurred my vision as I struggled to find my voice.
I was nothing more than an omega breeder in their eyes. Why would anyone believe my word over a warrior's?
"I didn't do anything wrong," I whispered, my voice cracking under the weight of their stares. The words felt pathetic even as they left my lips, but I had to try. If Theodore believed Rockford's lies, I'd be thrown into the dungeons or worse. "He's lying to you. All four of them cornered me."
