Theodore's POV
Kayne's sharp voice cut through my distracted thoughts, pulling me back to reality. Only then did I notice the stares from pack members gathered around us, their eyes fixed on Seraphine sitting in my lap. Their attention didn't bother me. If anything, I wanted them all to understand exactly who she belonged to. My body responded to her proximity in ways I couldn't control, my desire for her growing stronger by the minute. The urge to claim her right here was overwhelming, but I forced myself to resist. She was too delicate for my rough needs. If I gave in to my instincts, I would mark her completely, and that would lead us down a path I wasn't ready to explore.
I lifted her from my lap and stood. "Don't move from this spot," I commanded before following Kayne across the room.
