Orion's POV
Something was eating at me from the inside, and I couldn't put my finger on what it was.
My parents had just returned from their meeting with Dalia. When my phone buzzed with her name on the screen, I let it ring until it stopped. Not because I was busy with Tulip or anyone else. Dalia belonged to my past now, and I was determined to keep her there. College applications, Tulip, my future as an Alpha - those were the things that mattered. Not her.
The relief I felt knowing she was finally gone should have been enough. No more of her annoying laughter echoing through the house. No more watching her smile at every little thing like the world was some kind of joke. Those days of resenting her presence, of wishing she would just disappear - they were over. I was finally free.
So when she called, ignoring it was the obvious choice.
