"You disappeared," Levi complained, giving her one last squeeze before letting go. "Do you have any idea how boring these idiots became?"
Leo looked offended. "I was carrying the entertainment."
"You were carrying my blood pressure." Levi look at him like he is the most ridiculous human being he ever set his eyes on.
Levi stepped aside, only for Alaric to rise next.
Unlike Leo and Levi, he wasn't particularly expressive. He simply looked at her for a long second before shaking his head with quiet disbelief. "...Welcome back."
Athena smiled warmly. "Missed me?"
"A little."
She narrowed her eyes. "Liar."
"...Fine, I miss you lot." He said with a small smile as he looked around before fixing his gaze back on her.
Laila look at the expression on his face. How effortless Athena had made him smile so brightly even though he had tried to hide it. She felt a pang of jealousy rise in her chest. Hot and almost unbearable.
