c72: Beerus Was Defeated
"This… this guy's speed has increased again! My Ultra Instinct can't keep up with him anymore!"
Beerus' pupils dilated, his feline eyes struggling to track Lin Hao's movements. Every shift of air came a fraction too late. "What's even worse," he muttered, "is that I can't even sense his ki he's completely transcended perception!"
The realization hit him like a shockwave. Lin Hao wasn't just faster—he had entered the true Mastered Ultra Instinct state, one that even Beerus himself had never achieved.
It was clear now: Lin Hao wanted to end this battle in one clean sweep.
"Beerus," Lin Hao's calm but echoing voice cut through the air, "my next attack decides this fight!"
Before Beerus could brace himself, a silver streak tore through the sky. Lin Hao appeared behind him, his palm slamming into the God of Destruction's back. The impact sent Beerus hurtling across the barrier like a meteor.
"Damn it! His speed, it's beyond anything I can react to! I can't feel his presence at all!"
Beerus clenched his jaw as Lin Hao vanished again, reappearing instantly to strike from another angle. Beerus' Ultra Instinct movement once his greatest advantage was now lagging behind Lin Hao's divine rhythm. His defenses collapsed under a storm of silver flashes.
"This is… unbelievable!" shouted Goku, eyes wide. "Lord Beerus is actually on the ropes!"
"Yeah," Krillin said, sweat dripping down his forehead. "I can barely even see what's going on up there… but Beerus is definitely getting hit!"
"Come on, Dad! You've got this!" Lin Yi shouted, waving his small fists in excitement.
Vegeta's arms were crossed, his expression dark. "Tch… that damned Lin Hao. To think he could push Beerus this far… even I couldn't do that."
He scowled, his pride aching as memories surfaced. Time and again, he had challenged Lin Hao after unlocking new transformations Super Saiyan Blue, Blue Evolved, even Ultra Ego but every attempt ended in humiliating defeat.
And now, seeing Lin Hao overwhelming a God of Destruction, Vegeta's pride as the Saiyan Prince burned. "He's a monster. He broke limits that even we couldn't see. He reached beyond the gods themselves."
Goku smiled faintly, his usual excitement tempered by awe. "He's really done it. He's turned Ultra Instinct into something even Whis would acknowledge."
Piccolo, watching in silence, finally spoke. "Unbelievable… I never imagined a mortal could overpower Beerus. The Saiyan potential really is terrifying."
He folded his arms, glancing at Goku and Vegeta. "If Lin Hao's reached that level… you two aren't far behind, are you?"
Goku chuckled. "Heh. Guess we'll have to train harder, huh?"
Vegeta grunted. "Speak for yourself, Kakarot. I won't let that freak of nature stay ahead of me forever."
Inside the glowing barrier, Beerus was being battered relentlessly. His body bore deep scorch marks, his garments torn. A streak of blood trailed down from the corner of his mouth a sight no mortal or god had ever witnessed before.
Lin Hao floated a few meters away, his silver aura flickering calmly like a divine flame. "Beerus, you should yield. Continuing this will only destroy you."
Beerus wiped the blood from his mouth, eyes burning with rage and humiliation. "Yield? To a mortal?!"
His voice trembled.not from fear, but fury. "You… you dare humiliate me like this?"
He clenched his fists, his purple aura erupting wildly. "I may admire your strength, Lin Hao, but don't think for a second I'll forgive this insult!"
The ground beneath him cracked inside Whis' barrier, the godly energy threatening to break free.
Even Lin Hao could sense the shift. Beerus' pride as a God of Destruction his title, his divinity.was wounded. Never before had he been driven to such desperation, not even when sparring with the other Gods of Destruction from the multiverse.
But no matter how much power Beerus tried to unleash, Lin Hao's silver aura still shimmered above his.untouchable, calm, divine.
"Now I've actually allowed mortals in my universe to surpass me? If this old cat doesn't bare his fangs, they'll start calling me Hello Kitty!"
"Bastard… you've pissed me off!"
Beerus' roar shook the heavens. His divine aura exploded outward, the pressure warping Whis's barrier itself. In that instant, violet flames of Hakai energy surged from his body, filling half the enclosure. The glowing sphere of destruction looked like a burning amethyst world suspended in the sky.
Then Beerus spread his arms wide. Behind him, countless orbs of condensed Hakai energy appeared, each threaded with thin silver currents evidence of his crude attempt to fuse Ultra Instinct reaction into Destruction power.
"Destroy…"
His voice rumbled like thunder as every orb shot forward, raining toward Lin Hao like a divine hailstorm.
"So you're serious now?" Lin Hao said coolly, his silver aura brightening. "It seems even Beerus can panic. If that's the case… I won't hold back either."
He raised his ki to the absolute limit. The air around him detonated with pressure as waves of pure Ultra Instinct energy burst outward, scattering the incoming spheres before they could touch him.
But Beerus only smirked. "Idiot. You walked right into it."
The god's voice suddenly echoed from behind Lin Hao. He'd slipped through the haze using instantaneous movement fused with divine speed.
Beerus's fist came crashing down.yet just before impact, Lin Hao's hand shot up, catching it effortlessly.
"What—?! Impossible!"
For a brief moment, time seemed to stop. Beerus stared in disbelief. He had landed this same strike on other Gods of Destruction during multiversal sparring, yet Lin Hao caught it with one hand as if it were nothing.
A chill raced down Beerus's spine. He tried to retreat, but Lin Hao's grip locked him in place.
Bang!
Lin Hao's counter-punch connected cleanly, slamming into Beerus's jaw.
"GAAAH!"
Beerus screamed, his body flung backward, smashing against the barrier with a resounding boom. He'd been confident his destructive fist could end this fight, but that illusion shattered in an instant.
From the sidelines, Whis chuckled lightly, tasting a piece of pudding. "Oh my, Lord Beerus really is getting beaten senseless."
He dabbed his mouth with a napkin, amused rather than alarmed. "I did expect he'd lose, but to think Lin Hao could overpower him this thoroughly and he's not even using his full Ultra Instinct form yet. Fascinating."
Whis turned toward the chef nearby. "The outcome's decided. Could you prepare a few more servings of that Earth-style ramen to go?"
"No problem, Lord Whis!"
Meanwhile, the battle raged on. Every time Beerus tried to fire a wave of Hakai energy, Lin Hao deflected it like swatting sparks. Every counter Beerus attempted was crushed beneath Lin Hao's overwhelming precision.
The difference in control was absolute. Lin Hao's Ultra Instinct had reached the tranquil mastery that Whis often described.movement without thought, power without waste.
In one swift motion, Lin Hao seized Beerus by the collar and unleashed a devastating series of blows. Beerus's cheek swelled, his aura flickering chaotically.
"Damn you, mortal! I'll erase you from existence!" Beerus roared, eyes blazing with madness. His composure was gone; the pride of a God of Destruction had been shattered.
Lin Hao's tone stayed calm. "Erase me? You can barely stay conscious."
In a flash, Lin Hao vanished.his form dissolving into streaks of silver light.
He reappeared behind Beerus, his hand forming a blade of ki.
Wham!
The strike landed cleanly on the back of Beerus's neck.
A low thud echoed. Beerus's pupils shrank before his body went limp, collapsing through the air like a broken comet.
Outside the barrier, Whis sighed softly, waving his staff to catch the unconscious deity before he hit the ground. "And that concludes the match. Lord Beerus… defeated."
The silver glow around Lin Hao faded as he looked down calmly. The battle with the God of Destruction was finally over.
