c65 – Coming to Earth
Looking at the hands on his shoulders, Supreme Kai Shin was completely confused. He never expected that Lord Beerus, the God of Destruction, would actually say such a thing.
"Ahaha! Y-you are too polite, Lord Beerus!"
Supreme Kai Shin rubbed the back of his head with a nervous smile, his sweat dropping down his temple.
"Alright."
Beerus sneered, turning away with his hands behind his back. He brushed past the Supreme Kai and stopped before the Old Kai, his golden eyes narrowing coldly.
"Enough with the chatter. You should already know the reason I've come here. I'm looking for my destined rival a Saiyan, to be precise... a Super Saiyan God!"
Even though they had both heard the term once before from Whis, the two Kais were still taken aback. For someone like Beerus to call another being a "powerful enemy" was unheard of.
Could there truly exist such a warrior a Saiyan who transcends mortality and attains godhood?
The Old Supreme Kai furrowed his brows. Even in all his millions of years of life, he had never witnessed or even heard of such a transformation. The term "Super Saiyan" he knew well from Goku and Vegeta's battles during the Buu crisis but Super Saiyan God? That was beyond ancient memory.
If there had ever been a Saiyan capable of such divine power, it would've been that mysterious fighter Lin Hao.
"Lord Beerus, we've never heard of any Saiyan attaining such a divine form. Super Saiyan, yes but nothing with the title of 'God,'" the Old Kai admitted, shaking his head.
Beerus's expression darkened. "You're sure you're not lying to me? You remember what happened the last time you angered me. You don't want to be sealed in that accursed sword again, do you?"
At the mention of the Z Sword, the Old Supreme Kai trembled in horror, recalling the centuries he'd been trapped within it. "L-Lord Beerus, please, there's no need to be so hasty! Let me think…"
He pressed his fingers to his forehead, searching the depths of his divine memory. Yet, no matter how far back he reached, the concept of a Saiyan becoming a god was foreign. His mind wandered through countless eras until suddenly, he recalled a name, a warrior who might know.
"Hey!" Beerus snapped, his tail swaying impatiently. "Have you thought of something yet? I don't have all day. If you can't give me an answer soon, I'll erase you from existence. Your current life isn't exactly valuable to me."
"...!"
Hearing that cold threat, the Old Kai's face turned pale. This reckless, terrifying destroyer, if not for his immense power, the Kai would have scolded him on the spot. But against Beerus, he could only swallow his pride.
"Alright! I truly don't know of any Super Saiyan God myself," he admitted quickly, "but there is one Saiyan, far stronger and more insightful than the others, who might hold that knowledge. If anyone remembers this legend—it's him. You should go to Earth and seek out Son Goku!"
Beerus's sharp eyes gleamed with anticipation.
The Saiyan the Old Supreme Kai mentioned as being very powerful was indeed Lin Hao, for in his estimation, Lin Hao's mysterious origins and strength far exceeded even Son Goku's, and if anyone knew about the Super Saiyan God legend, it would be him.
"The strong Saiyan?" Beerus murmured, his feline eyes narrowing. Then, in a low voice, he asked coldly, "Where is this so-called strong Saiyan? Why haven't I sensed such energy anywhere in the universe?"
At that moment, Supreme Kai Shin quickly stepped forward and explained, "Lord Beerus, that Saiyan currently resides on Earth. You wouldn't feel his power unless he released his full energy. His ki control is extraordinary, far beyond ordinary mortals."
"Oh? Is that so?" Beerus said with a faint grin. "Interesting… A Saiyan powerful enough to hide from a God of Destruction. Since he's on Earth, Whis, let's go. There's no reason to waste time here."
"Yes, Lord Beerus," Whis replied politely. He lifted his divine staff, which shimmered with celestial light. With a calm smile, he said, "Then, let's set off for Earth."
A moment later, the staff struck the ground gently, and in a flash of rainbow light, both Whis and Beerus vanished from the Sacred World of the Kais, leaving behind only a faint divine aura.
Seeing the two gods finally depart, the Old Supreme Kai let out a deep sigh of relief. "Phew… finally got rid of that terrifying cat. The universe can breathe easy—at least for now," he muttered, his wrinkled face relaxing.

Earth — On a luxurious yacht in the middle of the sea
On the deck, laughter and music echoed. Suddenly, Lin Hao stood up from his seat, his expression serious. Son Goku, who had been cheerfully eating alongside the others, tilted his head. "Huh? What's wrong, Lin Hao? Did that strong person you mentioned finally show up?"
Lin Hao nodded slightly, eyes narrowing toward the sky. "Almost. Just a few minutes left. We should head down and eat while we still can."
He and Goku descended from the upper deck, joining the rest of the party that Bulma had prepared for her birthday celebration. The aroma of food filled the air as Lin Hao sat at a table.
"Dad! You're awake!" Lin Yi exclaimed, rushing over to him.
"Yeah," Lin Hao replied with a small smile, patting his son's head. "Thought I'd grab something to eat. There's a battle coming soon." He picked up a plate and began eating with calm composure, savoring what might be his last peaceful moment before chaos.
He knew that once Beerus arrived, food would be the least of his concerns.
"Hm! Lin Hao, who's this guy that's coming? How long till he gets here?" Goku asked eagerly, his usual grin on full display.
Seeing Goku's curious face, Lin Hao could only sigh. If he didn't answer, Goku would keep pestering him endlessly.
"The one we're waiting for isn't human," Lin Hao began. "He's the God of Destruction, Beerus one of the highest deities in the universe. His power far surpasses Supreme Kai's. He can wipe out planets with a flick of his finger."
"God of Destruction Beerus?!" Goku's eyes lit up, pure excitement instead of fear in his voice. "There's a god like that? Man, I can't wait to see him!"
And so, both Lin Hao and Goku ate while occasionally glancing toward the sky, silently waiting for the God of Destruction's arrival.
A few seconds later
Whoosh!
A brilliant, multi-colored light pierced through the clouds, descending rapidly from the heavens. The sudden display of divine energy made everyone aboard pause and look upward in awe.
As the radiant aura faded, two figures emerged upon the yacht: one tall and serene with pale blue skin and a halo-like ring behind him Whis; the other, a purple anthropomorphic cat with a sharp, regal demeanor—Beerus, the God of Destruction himself.
"Whoa! Who are they?" Krillin asked, blinking in surprise. "Bulma, are those your friends?"
"I have no idea!" Bulma replied, crossing her arms. "Maybe they're Vegeta's guests. Speaking of which, where is Vegeta?"
What Bulma didn't realize was that Vegeta had already left the party earlier, flying back to Capsule Corporation in West City to continue his training. For him, any celebration was meaningless. The only thing that mattered was surpassing Kakarot and perhaps even Lin Hao.
