Chapter 4 - The Great Son of Poseidon: Chapter 1

Summary: On the shores of Long Island Sound, a legendary son of the sea builds a world of moonlit parties and whispered myths — not for power, but for the hope that one forgotten promise might return to him. In a realm where gods do not bend, he waits, quietly, for the one who once did.

The music felt rather distant now, like the waves striking the base of the cliff below.

Inside the estate, laughter mingled with the clinging of glass and the notes of music played by the minor Gods. It was all quite a lavish affair, the kind that many would be envious of.

However, Perseus Jackson was a man who could not be compared to what we call ordinary by any means. He stood alone on the marble balcony, with his sleeves rolled up, his collar open, barefoot on the cold stone.

His sea-green eyes never seemed to leave the moon, tracking its every movement.

The silver glow of her sanctuary shimmered in the night sky, untouched by the chaos of the world below.

Percy remained motionless, not reacting even when a satyr stumbled into the garden below or a dyrad's giggle broke the still air. The parties were never about the guests.

It was always about her.

She had not come. Not even once.

Yet, every night, Percy waited, always watching and hoping.

Tonight felt no different- until something changed, even the air seemed to hold its breath.

For once, the music and dancing came to a halt. The laughter died down. And for the first time in weeks, Percy stirred.

She had arrived.
