Chapter 6 - INSTINCTS AWAKEN

Though you are making me sound fragile.

"Not fragile," Damien said, his voice steady.

 "Important.

Her gaze softened. 

For a brief moment, the world outside the office seemed to fade.

 His words lingered in the quiet, warm against the cold unease that had followed her all day.

"Luna," Damien continued, "whatever you felt today, I believe you. 

Your instincts are sharper than most.

 Do not doubt them. 

If you say something is wrong, I will stand by that.

She nodded slowly.

 "I appreciate that, Damien.

The lights above flickered, drawing their eyes upward. Luna's chest tightened again.

"See?" she whispered.

 "It is like the building itself knows something is off.

Damien glanced around, cautious.

 "Then we will keep watch. 

You are not alone in this.

Luna exhaled, her senses still prickling but steadied by his presence.

 Maybe her instincts were flaring because danger was near. 

Or maybe they were preparing her for something much larger.

Either way, she knew one thing for certain. This was no coincidence.
