My name is Bobr. I was just a normal high schooler, and my life had been pretty boring… until I was reincarnated into another world.
It was a regular day, and I was walking to school when I noticed three girls up ahead. Suddenly, a man appeared, holding knives. He was tall, strong, and seemed to know how to fight. Without thinking, I rushed forward and shouted,
"Hey! Leave them alone!"
The girls froze, eyes wide with fear. The man ignored me and advanced toward them threateningly. I didn't hesitate. I had trained in martial arts, especially hand-to-hand combat, so I wasn't scared at all.
I grabbed his wrist, twisted it, and the knife dropped to the ground. Before he could react, I punched him in the stomach and knocked him to the ground. He groaned in pain, unable to move.
I turned to the girls. "Are you okay?" I asked.
They nodded quietly. "We're okay… thank you for your help," one of them whispered.
I smiled. "Be careful. There are a lot of dangerous people out here."
But then I felt a presence behind me. The man had a gun. I reacted instinctively and kicked him in the stomach—but in the chaos, the gun discharged. The bullet hit me in the stomach.
Terrified, he ran away. I fell to the ground, losing blood fast. The girls cried and tried to help. One called an ambulance while the others comforted me… but I didn't survive.
When I opened my eyes, I saw a stunning goddess. Her golden hair shimmered like sunlight, and her bright blue eyes seemed to look straight into my soul. She radiated a calm, gentle aura.
When I regained my senses, she spoke.
"Welcome, Bobr. My name is Aria. I am the Goddess of Reincarnation."
I asked her if I had really died. She nodded solemnly. "You couldn't survive… but you saved those girls. Because of that, I will reincarnate you into another world."
I hesitated, then asked, "Will my new life be… exciting? I don't want another boring life."
She smiled warmly. "I understand. You have always sought challenge and adventure. So I will send you to a world of magic and swordsmithing."
I felt a surge of excitement. "Is there… any catch?"
"No," she replied gently. "The only power I will give you is one ability: Fast Learning. You will be able to learn anything quickly—but you must gain your other powers on your own. I will not erase your memories either."
With that, she opened a shimmering portal. I stepped through… and was born again.
It was completely dark , I could feel the warmth and darkness surrounding me and my body feel strange and small . I couldn't move at first,
but then i heard a soft voice saying
"Push .... Push .... Push"
Something inside me respond and I slowly move forward. The darkness began to fade and a bright, golden light appeared ahead. I felt the world around me stretching and opening for first time.
When I looked around, I saw two figures standing before me.
The first was the woman who had just given birth to me and , and the second one was a kind-looking man beside her.
These would be my parents in this new life. My mom is stunningly pretty. She has a long black hair, blue eyes and beautiful smile. And my dad looks quite handsome. He has a brown hair, eyes too and strong body. They looked at me excitedly and said. "Oh hey our little boy how should we name you"
While they were deciding, I was looking around. The first thing that caught my attention was the book laying on the table. I am lucky, that the language is same in this world, but it wouldn't be hard to learn it with my fast learning ability. When they had decided I ended up being name Leo.
In this age I couldn't do anything so I was just observing my surroundings.
My father was skilled with the sword . Everyday he trained in the yard. I watched him carefully and trying memorize his movements. However my mom was a mage and it was my first time seeing magic. It looked interesting, but I couldn't be able to learn it by watching it.
Times passed quickly. Although I had just been born my body and mind grew faster than anyone could expect. My mom's eyes sparkled with joy as she said.
"You only five years old and you already so smart and ..."
My dad interrupt her while she was speaking and said. "Not only you are smart, but you also have a talent for swordsmithing as well"
I blinked, excitement coming from me. "Mom, Dad ... can you give me that book"
The book I had noticed when I was born. My parents exchange glance and smile "Of course baby"
They took it from the shelf and handed it to me
"Thank you" I said, my voice filled with excitement.
When I open the cover, I saw title:
Chronicles of Aetheria
I was so excited , because it was a key understanding this world mana, magic and everything in it.
I read it from morning till night, my eyes glued to every page.
One evening, as I tried to read just one more chapter my mother suddenly appeared. She snatched the book out from my hand.
"No more reading. It's time to sleep,"
she said firmly
"Just one more chapter please"
Her eyes narrowed. "Leo NO!!!"
I froze and climbed to the bed.
"I know you want to read more, but you have lots of time tomorrow for now rest my baby"
she said calmly.
I apologised and slowly closed my eyes.
