Kairen smiled. This level of chakra control had already transcended the bounds of ordinary ninjutsu.
If one were to add industrial alcohol to fire—what would happen?
Water and fire combined, yin and yang in harmony.
Kairen snapped his fingers, and the water floating before him instantly burst into flames, transforming into a blazing fire dragon.
He guided the dragon's movement—soaring upward, spiraling, bowing, curving, even performing comical gestures.
Fire burned rapidly in open air, making control difficult to sustain. But when mixed with alcohol and oil, it could burn much longer.
With a wave of his hand, Kairen let the dragon coil around him, completely obeying his chakra control.
From this moment on, his Fire Release would become far more flexible. Against weaker enemies, he could even abandon reckless tactics altogether.
He could now stand still, unmoving, and still take his opponent's life—a true display of a master's composure and presence.
Kairen lowered his head, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. A certain red-haired boy came to mind—Gaara.
Gaara's sand could move freely at his will. With his arms crossed and face cold as stone, he exuded the demeanor of a true boss—his style, impeccable.
Kairen felt envious and immediately decided to imitate him.
Crossing his arms, he focused his mind. The blazing dragon shifted shape again and again, weaving through the air in winding, twisting motions.
Before long, the flames gradually burned out.
Kairen dropped his arms. If he wanted to copy Gaara's fighting style, he'd need a gourd to complete the look.
He entered the Infinite Resurrection System's internal space and browsed the ninja tool exchange list.
After scanning carefully for a while, something caught his eye—a sake gourd with a large internal capacity and space-type attributes.
Not too big, not too small—perfect for hanging at the waist.
Spending 1000 points, Kairen exchanged for the yellow gourd.
He examined it in his hand. Intricate runes were engraved across its surface—traces of sealing jutsu.
Opening the lid, Kairen created sake and poured it inside.
After about ten seconds, he couldn't help but exclaim,
"So deep! Worth every bit of those 1000 experience points—the inner space must be at least five cubic meters!"
He continued refining chakra, filling the gourd completely. Before long, a rich fragrance of liquor filled the air.
Kairen froze for a moment.
The First Hokage's Wood Release technique, Deep Forest Bloom, used floral fragrance to make enemies faint.
So why couldn't he develop a liquor scent that knocked people out too? Once they lost consciousness, he could do whatever he wanted.
Heh heh heh...
Kairen's ears twitched—he faintly heard Minato's voice of admiration. In an instant, he flickered onto a nearby tree branch and looked toward Minato, who stood several meters away beside a man in a black suit—his own clone.
"Came out?!"
Minato's gaze burned with interest as he said to the lawyer, "Law is the manifestation of the ruling class's will. But we ninja are not the rulers of this nation. The village uses the ninja creed to regulate our actions, but in certain aspects, it still can't compare to the fairness of law itself..."
The lawyer nodded in agreement.
"Well said, Minato. The more people there are, the more rules are needed to restrain them. Otherwise, order collapses."
Kairen frowned in confusion.
"What's he doing? Chatting philosophy with Minato? And how did he even get out here?"
He flickered again, crouching on the wooden roof tiles of the Senju residence, peering downward.
Kairen: (⊙_☉)
He saw Thief gently lift Kushina's pant leg and say softly,
"This skincare product's quality is pretty good—though it probably owes more to your natural beauty, Kushina-san."
Kushina withdrew her leg, smiling as she touched her lips.
"You sure know how to flatter people. Even your tone sounds pleasant."
"Ah, you flatter me, my lady. I do try to be funny—but your sweet little voice puts me to shame!"
Kairen instantly realized what was going on. The clone he had created earlier to clean up had actually been Thief—and that man was now flirting with Minato's wife! Was he trying to test whether Flying Thunder God was fast enough to stop him?!
"No, wait... he's my clone. That means I'm the one flirting with Kushina!"
Kairen instinctively turned his gaze several dozen meters away.
Minato, seeing the sky darken, was preparing to head home with Kushina. The lawyer tried to keep chatting, but it was starting to feel awkward.
The real husband was on his way!
"My lady, since we're getting along so well, why don't we continue our conversation... somewhere more private?"
"Poof!"
Kairen snapped his fingers—the Thief clone vanished instantly, and its memories flowed back into his mind. Everything that had just happened with Kushina now felt as if he'd experienced it himself.
He jumped down from the roof.
As the smoke cleared, Kushina looked at him with a puzzled expression.
"Where's your shadow clone? Call him back! He talks so nicely!"
Kairen gazed at the silly woman. Despite being married, she clearly had zero experience when it came to romance.
It made sense—she and Minato were childhood sweethearts. The most romantic thing between them had been his moonlit confessions that stole her heart away.
Besides, women from the two-dimensional world never quite thought like those in the three-dimensional one. As the Nine-Tails' jinchūriki, Kushina didn't have many friends. Meeting someone who could actually hold a pleasant conversation with her naturally sparked her interest.
She truly believed Thief was just trying to make her laugh.
"Kushina, it's getting late. Let's go home," Minato called out from a nearby path, followed by the lawyer wearing his usual professional smile.
Kairen snapped his fingers again—the lawyer vanished.
Kushina nodded, then looked at Kairen.
"Your shadow clone's really funny. I bet you're interesting too. You should come visit me and Minato sometime."
Even within the village, Kushina wasn't allowed to move around freely. She couldn't go near the outskirts or anywhere close to the Uchiha compound, so she didn't have many friends.
Now that she'd met someone she enjoyed talking to, she wanted to invite him over for company.
Kairen nodded earnestly. "Are you free this Sunday?"
Kushina shook her head. "Minato and I have a mission this Sunday, so I won't be free."
"Oh!" Kairen nodded. "Then I, the humble one, will visit another day."
"It's a promise!"
Minato smiled faintly, not thinking much of it.
Kairen stepped up beside Minato, still half-lost in Thief's mischievous thoughts. He placed a hand on Minato's shoulder.
"Minato, till next time."
"Of course."
After Minato and Kushina left, Kairen sat on the wooden floor, recalling every subtle expression and smile Kushina had made just moments ago. She was like an enchanting little demoness.
It was a pity she was already married. Thief wasn't yet so morally bankrupt as to seduce another man's wife.
In the shared consciousness space, Thief's laughter echoed quietly.
"Thief likes widows!"
