Chapter 2

No words could be used to describe how Li Chen felt. He felt various kinds of emotions running through him.

He checked his pulse and found out that he had internal injuries also.

'Let me regain my strength, I will teach that Tian bastard a lesson,' he cursed in a low tone.

He had finally accepted his new identity, but he still could not believe it. Instead of transmigrating into a top cultivator, he had entered into this useless body. All his life, he had never been useless; he'd strived to become a doctor, and a good one at that, but this body was ….

He shook his head.

'Now, let me focus on getting myself healed, then I will think of what to do about my current situation,' he said.

"Young master, are you awake? Your friend, Yang Feng, is here to see you."

'Oh.'

He searched through his memory and discovered that the original owner of this body had a friend who was in Capital School, the best school in Yen capital. He was not supposed to be here now, but due to his injury, his friend had come.

The maid pushed the door to check.

"Is Li Chen awake?" a young, masculine voice could be heard.

"Yes," the maid responded.

"Alright, you can go," Yang Feng walked into the room.

Li Chen looked at him; he looked exactly like his memories—tall, muscular, and with a very handsome face.

"How are you feeling?" Yang Feng asked, his eyes looking at Li Chen in worry.

"Well, I am still feeling pains, but it will get better."

Yang Feng opened his hands and a bottle came out.

'Wow, this was magical.' He knew about inter-spatial rings from his memories but had not seen them like he did now. While on Earth, people could only carry a bag to keep their things and deposit their money in a bank.

Yang Feng opened the bottle and the scent of medicine drifted into the room.

He took out two pills, gave them to Li Chen, and said, "Chew them so that you can be relieved immediately."

Li Chen chewed it; the wounds on his body faded slowly before his eyes. He widened his eyes like saucer pans.

Yang Feng laughed, seeing his friend like this, and said, "This is a fourth-grade healing pill, the best of its kind in the continent. My father gave it to me in case I got injured in the future."

"Thank you so much, Yang Feng," Li Chen said, his eyes expressing his gratitude.

Li Chen was in awe of the pill he had eaten. Pills were of different components in this world, and their effects were far more amazing compared to Earth. Pills were divided into first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, down to pills that could undergo pill tribulation. The pill he had eaten was to treat injuries, while there were other pills to increase strength, boost cultivation, and poison pills to attack people.

That was why Alchemists were respected in the entire continent due to the numerous benefits they could bring to the country, but the highest number of fourth-ranked alchemists were only six in the entire continent.

"When did we start addressing each other like this?" Yang Feng frowned.

Li Chen realized that they did not usually address each other with their surname, only their name, like 'Feng'.

"How are you feeling now?" Yang Feng asked.

"I am feeling better, thanks to you, Feng," he smiled.

This friend was similar to his own friend on Earth, who was so caring and thoughtful. He thought with sadness in his eyes about how his friend must have reacted to his death.

Yang Feng also brought out a medicinal porridge from his ring and placed it on the vanity table in the room.

"This is a medicinal porridge to give you strength. Drink it," he said.

Li Chen drank the porridge. He could feel himself regaining strength.

"Thank you, Feng, for all of this; if it were not for you, I would still be lying down there in pain," he said.

"Don't worry, no need to thank me; that is why we are friends."

"I don't know why your stepfather will refuse to give you treatment after making you go to a tournament. I know that you cannot make that kind of decision if you were not forced," Yang Feng said, settling his body to sit on the edge of the bed.

"Yeah, I can't wait to fully regain my strength so that I will leave this place," Li Chen said.

"Where do you want to go? I will speak to the headmaster of Capital School to see whether he can admit you there."

Li Chen's eyes shone. Capital School was the school for the talented young masters and maidens. It was the desire of every young cultivator. The skills they would learn there, the secret realms inside the school, was a place where they all fought for the best resources to grow.

"But I am not sure if he will be able to admit you into the inner sect because of your abilities," Yang Feng said with remorse.

"Don't worry, as long as I can go to Capital School, I will be satisfied and can slowly work my way to the top," Li Chen said, his desire to become strong was high.

"I remembered that you were reading books to become a doctor then; continue reading the book. In three months' time, the school will be admitting new students, and you can study to become a doctor there," Yang Feng said, not wanting to dash his friend's hope in the mud.

Li Chen looked at him with different feelings. Studying to be a doctor? He was a renowned doctor on Earth.

He didn't comment, having understood his friend. He was going to Capital School to become the best doctor so that he could show other people what they were missing from becoming a doctor.
