Alpha Magnus and his Luna knelt before Zeus Lycaeus, begging for a child who would be the next in line in their pack.
"I was waiting for the right moment to give you a daughter because she is destined to be mated with Alpha Luke, the Alpha of all Alphas," said Zeus Lycaeus, the god of the wolves.
Luna Jane signed heavily, "With all respect, you're being too selfish, Zeus. How do you expect our daughter to be mated to that ruthless Alpha? Magnus, please say something as tears rolled down her cheeks.
"Well, Jane, you do not have any choice, neither do your mate, and just because I let you question me doesn't mean I am ordinary like you guys. I am your God".
Alpha Magnus and Luna Jane, fully aware that they had no other choice but to accept their daughters' faith, went home sobbing.
Jane had taken in not so long, and it was a thing of great joy for the pack members. She gave birth to a beautiful baby named Lydia, and a party was held in the pack for it.
Lydia grew up to be a wonderful lady, but something worse than an earthquake happened one day.
"Lydia, do not look back, keep going," said Jane as she hollered in tears.
But, Mom, I can't leave here without you guys, Lydia, being only a young wolf, said.
You have to do that, my love. This is a huge fight in our pack, and we have already lost some of our best warriors. We can't abandon the rest. We are the leaders, said Magnus as he tried resisting the urge to tear up.
"Run, lyd… were the last words she heard from her mom before a ruthless wolf ripped her mom out.
She only got a glance of that wolf and decided that even if it takes her life, she must have her revenge and kill that wolf.
Lydia ran as she watched her pack being brought down by another. She didn't have a clue where she was going, but she knew she must train and search for that wolf and rip him apart as he did to her parents.
She walked for days without food or water, and her wolf began to feel weak till she couldn't move further.
"Where am I? " she panicked in fear as she woke up in a strange hut.
Wha…..do….you, what do you want from me? she stammered.
"Hi, I'm Caspian. You fainted not so far from my hut, so I took you in to help you recover".
Well, thank you for that, but I didn't ask you to, I was just taking a rest, and I'm heading out, she said, trying to act all brave while she shivered inside.
Look, I mean no harm to you, I'm just a wolf who got separated from his family and am still trying to locate them. I don't think you and I are very different from each other, given the fact that you're walking in the middle of nowhere.
For some reason, she felt at ease and started flowing with him. he fed her, and she went in to clean up.
So I have to find him and murder him, she said as she explained her situation to him.
I'll help you do that, at least I finally have someone as a friend Caspian said happily. Let's have some rest, we could start tomorrow.
Did you even sleep at all? He shook his head in disbelief
No sleep for the revengeful, I need to kill him, and I need to leave now.
They both headed out without a clue of where they were heading to except they had a wolf to kill.
"Can we take a rest? " she whispered as she watched curiously as Caspian stood tall, his eyes wide with what looked like fear
What's wrong? She asked as she took a step closer to him.
"Don't move, Lydia," Caspian whispers, fear truly showing in his voice. How come I didn't notice this?
Didn't your wolf alert you? Oh shit, what are we going to do?" he said panicking, his face losing all color and beads of sweat gathering his hairline.
What's wrong? she asked again, getting worried as Caspian's frantic eyes turned to her.
There is a territory boundary here, can't you sense it?
And it's one of the most ruthless Alphas ever lived, Luke said.
Well, I have heard stories about him, let's move away from here she replied.
" If we move in the wrong direction, we end up trespassing. "
Holy crap.
What's worse than death? Trespassing in the most dangerous pack ever lived.
A deafening roar stops me from uttering another word. I looked as Caspian's eyes widened and filled with tears. And all I could think was my mateeeeee.
"Turn around," a gruff voice commanded, and this made my legs wobble. Wait, is this how I'm going to murder my enemy? She thought and came over her fear.
Do you know who I am? Lydia asked, staring at the five well-built men, strong enough to rip her and Caspian out. But none interested me because I only stared at the tallest man, he had the most power among them, I could feel it, so much power that made me want to bend my knees to submit to him.
At a glance, I knew he was Alpha Luke, and my wolf kept on rejoicing, saying, "our mate".
That's a lie, right? She asked herself, I can't be mated to him I thought to myself, probably my wolf was wrong
But as our eyes met, I knew for sure that I was doomed
I was his mate, she said, still admiring the creature standing at her front.
We are sorry for trespassing said Caspian
"No, I'm not," Lydia said, still lost, staring.
Pardon my friend, she's too frightened to know what's going on, he pleaded.
"Take them in, they are trespassers," said Luke
Suddenly, an arm wrapped around my waist, lifted me, and moved. With all my strength, I tried pushing away, groaning in pain, but the hand tightened me as we moved.
"Caspian, I'm sorry for getting you into this mess she said and passed out in the hands of one of the men.
