CHAPTER TWO
"Why did you call me into your office?" Doctor Stones asked as he sat on the nearest chair close to him.
"To tell you what I noticed and know" Professor Clement said as he continued looking through the window.
"What you noticed and know? Don't you know what happened outside?" Doctor Stones responded furiously as he looked at Professor Clement and then, turned to face Professor Camila "… or Professor Camila, are you going to wait and hear him say something so unimportant compared to what happened outside?"
Professor Camila who was looking at the video in the IPad on the table, paused the video and turned to face Doctor Stones.
"I think, we should hear what he is about to say? There is no need to hurry to go outside to an unsettled case" Professor Camila responded and then, turned to look at the video.
The video showing the incident that happened. The same video watched by Gabriella and others.
"Unsettled case? That is why we are trained law professors to settle the case instead of wasting time here" Doctor Stones said as he pointed at Professor Clement.
"And, what I am about to say is also pertaining settling the case as well" Professor Clement stated as he turned to look at Doctor Stones
Doctor Stones dropped his hands and Professor Camila switched off the IPad and lifted her head to look at Professor Clement
Doctor Stones adjusted himself on the chair and his expression changed to a cynical look
"Expatiate!" he said to Professor Clement sounding curious at what Professor Clement is about to say
Professor Clement walked towards the chair closer to them and sat on it as he crossed his legs.
He made sure he was comfortable on the chair he sat before looking at Doctor Stones and answered, "It is about your son, your son is related to the incident"
Doctor Stones and Professor Camila both looked at each other and then, at Professor Clement.
"What do you mean? My son had class at that time" Doctor Stones said trying to understand what was said to him by Professor Clement.
"That what you thought but, in reality, he wasn't." Professor Clement responded as he used his hands to explain as he talked.
"You are confusing me. Are you saying that my son is part of the incident?" Doctor Stones asked cynically as he looked closely at Professor Clement.
"I didn't mention he is part but, related."
"What the hell do you mean? Are you saying that I am poor at my understanding in English language?" Doctor Stones asked feeling so confused at the moment.
"Professor Clement, just break it down to our understanding" Professor Camila said as she tried calming the office.
"Okay. He is related meaning, he has something doing not particularly part of the action involved in the incident"
"Urrrghh!!!" Doctor Stones groaned as he used his hands to cover his face with annoyance.
"Doctor Stones, can you please calm for Professor Clement to explain to us very well?" Professor Camila said as she turned to look at Doctor Stones. Inwardly, she was also annoyed by the fact that Professor Clement still repeats the same word.
"Aren't you hearing him or am I the only one stupid h—" Doctor Stones stated before being interrupted by the sound of door knocks
"Knock! Knock! Knock!!!" came the sound of the knocks from the door.
They all looked at each other wondering who might be the one knocking
"Are you expecting anyone?" Professor Camila asked Professor Clement as she looked at him questioningly with an eyebrow raised.
"No, not at all!" he responded before turning from looking at Professor Camila to the door. "Come in!" he said to the person behind the door when the knock was been heard again.
The door opened revealing a student in a neat well ironed corporate, the student closed the door behind him and stood in front of the professors
"Doctor Janet is requesting for the three of you audience in the meeting room." The student delivered with a fluent spoken English in an audible accent.
Doctor Janet, the vice chancellor of the college.
The professors looked at each other surprised by the sudden meeting.
"Thanks Caleb!" Professor Clement appreciated the student.
Caleb gave a nod and left the office after closing the door behind him.
"Meeting?" Doctor Stones asked after two minutes of silence or so.
"I am also as shocked as you are and, it is just six twenty five in the evening." Professor Clement responded as he stood up and picked his suit jacket on the chair.
"I am sure she wants to talk about the incident of what happened today" Professor Camila said as she stood up from the chair and straightened her skirt.
"You better tell me what you mean by my son being part or related or whatever English word you used… you will just tell me how he is involved in it" Doctor Stones said as he stood up and pointed at Professor Clement aggressively.
"Of course, I will. Just be calm when we are in the meeting" Professor Clement said as he adjusted his tie and put his hands in his pocket before looking at Doctor Stones "and also, forget I told you about it." With that, he made his way to the door and left.
"You heard that?" Doctor Stones said as he pointed at the door Professor Clement left through.
"I did! We just have to act oblivious as he said." Professor Camila responded as she left through the door and closed it.
Leaving Doctor Stones all alone, he groaned furiously and confused at the same time.
