Chapter 18: The Battle with Buu!

Majin Buu looked at Goku and the others who had finally arrived.
They descended slowly from the sky and all stared at him nervously, except for Trunks and Goten.
Goten was just a child and his trust in Trunks' strength was absolute, while Trunks was confident that he could kick Majin Buu to death if he used his full power.
He simply wanted to enjoy the fight more and not ruin it immediately by going Super Saiyan 4.
"So this is Majin Buu… he's terrifying!" Piccolo gulped. He was the weakest one here, and glancing at the Supreme Kais, he muttered to himself: "When they first arrived, they showed off their power in front of me… and now they're trembling like frightened pups."
Piccolo sneered and looked at Trunks.
If he could convince these two to fuse and quickly teach them, they had a great chance of crushing Majin Buu.
After all, Goten was only slightly weaker than Gohan and might even surpass him at any moment.
As for Trunks, he had managed to defeat Goku using only Super Saiyan 2, while Goku relied on Super Saiyan 3.
And now, Trunks could use Super Saiyan 3 stronger than Goku's own, which meant he had mastered control over it.
"So this is Majin Buu… he looks strong." Goku's eyes burned with fighting spirit as he stared at Majin Buu.
"Kakarot, don't even think about it." Vegeta stepped forward, blocking Goku, and arrogantly added: "I'll be the one to crush this brat!"
Trunks looked at Vegeta and felt a bad premonition.
This fight wouldn't end well.
"Vegeta, wait, that's not fair… I'm stronger than you, so I should go first!" Goku said casually. But those words wounded the pride of the short Saiyan prince.
"Kakarot, do you want me to beat you to death right now?!" Vegeta roared angrily, challenging Goku.
Trunks and Goten watched them from the side for a while before sighing.
"Goten, let's do it…" Trunks said, ignoring Goku and Vegeta.
"Yeah, let's take down this midget…" Goten smirked as he stretched his limbs.
"Foolish humans… I'll absorb all your power," Majin Buu laughed nonchalantly at the enemies before him.
"Oi, Goten, Trunks… I'll be the one to figh—" Before Vegeta could finish speaking, Goten and Trunks had already rushed to attack Majin Buu.
"Haaaa!" With a shout, Trunks kicked at Buu's head, but Majin Buu easily dodged. A dark pink energy ball appeared in his hand, and he blasted Trunks at close range.
BOOOOM!
Smoke spread throughout the area, covering both Majin Buu and Trunks, but moments later, Trunks' furious shout echoed, and a golden aura erupted, dispersing the thick smoke.
"Take this! And this! And this!" Trunks yelled as he fired multiple ki blasts at Majin Buu. Buu blocked with his arms, ignoring the fact that the barrage was forcing him backward.
"Goten, now!" Trunks shouted, and from afar Goten appeared behind Buu, taking the stance of the Kamehameha.
"Kaaaa… Meeee… Haaaa… Meeee…" Goten's eyes were cold as he looked at Buu, charging energy enough to destroy one or two planets.
"Haaaaaa!" With a roar, Goten unleashed the massive blue wave of energy. Seeing it, Buu smirked wickedly and instantly turned into slime, dodging the attack.
Behind him, Trunks frowned, watching as Buu's body shifted into slime so easily. He had forgotten how clever Buu was, able to exploit his body structure like that.
"Trunks, watch out!" Gohan shouted as the Kamehameha wave sped toward Trunks. Yet Trunks ignored it, as if it didn't exist.
"Hmmm… looks like I'll have to use Super Saiyan 3." With that, Trunks instantly transformed into Super Saiyan 3, and with a single wave of his hand, redirected the Kamehameha straight into the sky.
"...."
Everyone was stunned, even Majin Buu.
Was he saying that the attack, strong enough to kill him, could be brushed aside so easily?
"Goten, fall back… support me from behind." Trunks commanded, walking slowly toward Majin Buu.
It was clear he wanted to defeat Buu himself.
"Trunks, be careful. If he absorbs you, we—" Goten didn't finish, but everyone understood.
If Buu absorbed Trunks, his power would multiply, and he'd also gain Saiyan strength and Super Saiyan 3.
"Don't worry… now then, you little brat, get ready for a beating." Trunks smirked as he shot forward at incredible speed, throwing a punch.
Buu was about to block when Trunks vanished from his sight.
"Behind me… to my right… to my left… no." At the last moment, Buu looked upward, only to be met with a kick to the head.
BOOOOM!
Buu's head was crushed, but he was still alive. With a wave, he unleashed a shockwave that forced Trunks back.
Buu rose up, and in the next instant, his head regenerated completely, the evil grin still plastered on his small face.
"Strong… your power will be mine!" Buu cackled like a madman before charging at Trunks with terrifying speed.
The two clashed, equal in strength. Each punch created shockwaves as they traded blows at incredible speed across the battlefield.
"Goku-san… now's our chance! You can use that Genki Dama technique you mentioned earlier!" Shin shouted suddenly, reminding everyone this wasn't just any fight—it was one that determined the fate of Earth, perhaps even the entire universe.
"...."
Goku said nothing. Clearly, he didn't want to intervene in Trunks' battle; he wanted to fight Majin Buu himself. He simply ignored the Supreme Kai.
"It's fine, Supreme Kai-sama, we'll find a way to beat him…" Gohan reassured, though it was clear he was worried as well.
"A way… that's right! Gohan, come with me!" Shin suddenly exclaimed, recalling something important that rekindled his hope.
"Huh?! Why?!" Gohan was surprised, looking at Shin curiously.
"No time to explain, just come… there's a way to increase your power so you can defeat Majin Buu!" Shin said excitedly.
"Really… then everyone, hold Buu off until I return!" Gohan said before gathering with Shin and Kibito.
Gohan waved at Goku and the others, and in the next instant, they were transported away using the Supreme Kai's advanced Instant Transmission.
"Hmph. By the time he returns, my son will have already crushed Majin Buu… your son's a fool, just like you, Kakarot!" Vegeta sneered.
"Huh… really?!" Goku asked dumbly, with a shocked expression.
"...."
I was joking—there's no way Gohan could be that foolish.
