Chapter 23: Gohan vs Majin Buu!
"I'll try to speed things up."

After a while, a group of powerful fighters could be seen resting on a nearby hill, watching intently the battle between Majin Buu and Ultimate Gohan.
"Son Gohan… you're mine!" shouted Majin Buu as he kicked Gohan away and fired a pink-colored beam from his head.
"Gohan, dodge it!" Gohan was about to wave his hand to deflect the attack, but hearing Trunks' scream, he immediately leapt far away in an instant.
"If that beam hits you, you'll turn into candy and Majin Buu will be able to eat and absorb you completely!" Piccolo's warning made Gohan nod seriously.
At first, he was arrogant, but it seemed this Majin Buu couldn't be defeated so easily.
He wondered how Trunks and Goten had even managed to fight him.
"Goten, come on… Even though Gohan has gotten stronger, unlike Majin Buu, he'll lose stamina quickly. Let's try again!" said Trunks to Goten, who was watching Gohan with shining eyes.
"Really? It looks to me like my big brother is beating Majin Buu!" said Goten curiously, which made Trunks snap angrily: "Just do what I tell you!"
He wasn't worried about Majin Buu, he just wanted to fuse with Goten to help his friend get closer to Super Saiyan 3.
As long as Gotenks transformed into Super Saiyan 3, both would inherit his memories, which meant Goten's path to reaching Super Saiyan 3 would become easier.

"Alright, alright!" Feeling intimidated, Goten quickly stood up, and the two began performing the fusion dance.

On Gohan's side.
"You're more annoying than Cell himself!" Gohan mocked while continuously dodging the pink energy beams fired by Majin Buu.
Suddenly, he vanished and appeared behind Majin Buu.
"Behind you, shorty…" he smirked mockingly.
"Damn you!" Majin Buu spun around, throwing a swift kick, but found no trace of Gohan.
"Where…?" sensing danger, Majin Buu quickly turned and tried to guard his face, but Gohan appeared at insane speed and punched him straight in the face, sending him flying hundreds of meters away.
"I told you I was behind you…" Gohan sneered and disappeared again.
In the next moment, Goku and Vegeta could barely keep up with the fight, while Piccolo's sharp senses allowed him to clearly see Majin Buu being pummeled by Gohan everywhere.
Gohan kept vanishing and reappearing, kicking and punching Majin Buu all over.
A surge of Gohan's violet energy condensed into a beam, relentlessly smashing into the pink blob.
That blob was Majin Buu.
"Gohan, this won't work… You have to vaporize his body entirely with a single attack!" the Supreme Kai, Shin, communicated telepathically.
But Gohan ignored him. His arrogance had reached its peak after gaining this power.
"Majin Buu, you're strong… but before me, you're—…" Gohan recalled a phrase Trunks always repeated after winning fights:
"You're strong, but before my power, all you can do is vanish!"
As he was about to mimic it, he was suddenly struck by a surprise blow from Majin Buu, interrupting his words.
And from that moment, the tables turned.
Now Gohan was the one being pummeled, and Majin Buu seemed to have powered up once more.
"Damn it… u-ugh…" Gohan cursed, trying to block Majin Buu's rapid strikes, but all he could do was endure the relentless beating from the enraged Buu.
"Yaaaaaaahhh… Haaaaaaaahhh!!" Majin Buu roared as he attacked Gohan with terrifying force and speed.
Goku was about to intervene when—
"Damn you… Haaaaaahhh!!" Gohan unleashed all his energy, causing a violet explosion that blasted Majin Buu away.
"I'll finish you for real… Kamehameha!!" Gohan gathered all his energy with shocking speed into a single sky-blue Kamehameha.
In front of him, Majin Buu regained his balance. Seeing the energy Gohan was charging, he raised his hand high, forming a massive, terrifying pink energy sphere.
"Damn it!… If either of those attacks hits the Earth, we'll be obliterated along with it in an instant!" Piccolo cursed, and suddenly felt Trunks and Goten's power vanish.
"Could it be…?"

"Haaaaaahhh!!" Gohan unleashed his blue beam, while Majin Buu launched his destructive pink sphere.
The moment the two collided, the entire world fell silent.
Everything turned gray for a second, then multicolored shockwaves erupted, centered where their attacks clashed.
BOOOOOOM!
A massive explosion of energy erupted, their powers merging into a gigantic black sphere crackling with violet lightning.
Moments later, all that energy vanished without a trace.
From afar, one could see a terrifyingly deep and wide crater.
A dark pit that occasionally sparked with violet lightning.
At the center of this crater lay a body…
Majin Buu stood with half his body evaporated, staring at Son Gohan with lingering fear in his eyes.
This man had almost killed him just now, if not for Buu splitting his body to escape.

Gohan was covered in wounds, unconscious, lying before the trembling Majin Buu.
"Damn you…" cursed Son Goku as he instantly used Instant Transmission. Arriving at Gohan's nearly lifeless body, he saw Majin Buu regenerating instantly.
"Die!" A purple ki sphere appeared in his hand, and in the next moment, a beam blasted Goku hundreds of meters away.
"Damn it… no!" Goku cursed, trying to regain his balance, but remembered he had already exhausted himself using Super Saiyan 3 earlier against Buu. Added to that, Buu's attack had been powerful.
"Gohaaan…" Goku shouted, while Majin Buu smirked, about to fire a pink beam at Gohan to turn him into candy.
"Farewell, Son Gohan…" Majin Buu laughed wickedly as he aimed at Gohan.
