Chapter 64 - Chapter 63 Know

At exactly nine in the morning, Barry shook his head, pressing his hands to his abs, and sprang out of bed.

"Oh my god, Lin Li, you bastard, I feel the darkness of death."

Barry pressed both hands to his bare upper body and said in fright. The feeling of blood slowly draining, losing light, and the world gradually darkening was truly unpleasant. Lin Li's punch was very heavy.

Lin Li crossed his arms, scrutinizing Barry, and said with a smile, "You're awake. You've been lying there all night. Don't worry, I calculated it very precisely. That punch was just enough to let you taste the darkness of unconsciousness."

All of Barry's bodily molecular compositions, frequency data, and every physical examination were recorded in his mind. He knew exactly how much force to use, and Barry would be fine.

Barry got out of bed and casually picked up a Star Labs T-shirt that Lin Li had prepared, putting it on.

As he dressed, he said, "One day, I'm going to punch you hard too."

Lin Li raised an eyebrow and said indifferently, "YES, I'm looking forward to it."

The two exchanged a smile.

They embraced.

Lin Li said, "Thank you, Barry."

Barry said, "I believe you would do the same for me, just like with the Weather Wizard, stepping up and shielding me from any harm."

"Of course, you're my good friend."

Lin Li raised his fist and bumped it hard against Barry's.

Barry dramatically clutched his fist and exclaimed, "Whoa oh oh~~~ This is abuse of the disabled."

Lin Li burst into laughter.

After a bit of playful roughhousing, they stopped.

Barry needed to go back to work at the Central City Police Department.

Lin Li would also continue his motorcycle modifications later, as he would need to rush to the scene to deal with metahuman crimes next time.

Caitlin also just arrived for work, and Surgery was handed back to her. The two big men just patted their butts and left, leaving Caitlin to clean up.

Checking the main hall control room, Cisco wasn't there, but Wells was staring at the screen, deep in thought. The screen displayed 3D wireframe simulations of the possibility of a singularity opening a wormhole.

Lin Li saw the screen, and his heart stirred. He said, "Dr. Wells, have you thought of any methods regarding wormhole creation?"

"Yes."

Dr. Wells handed a stack of about fifty pages of documents to Lin Li.

"You take a look first."

Lin Li took them, an electric arc flashed in his eyes, and he activated his super-speed thinking, scanning the documents ten lines at a time.

"This looks very much like when the Speed Force is activated, whether it's the flashing electric arcs or the super-reading and memory abilities," Wells murmured, staring intently at Lin Li.

Before long, Lin Li had finished scanning the documents.

Wormhole theoretical creation possibility, energy constant balance, color-flavor chain inter-quark matter, strong magnetic traction linkage tearing.

These were all key points, the very difficult-to-achieve key points recorded in the USB Wells gave him last time.

Lin Li had read the previous data from Wells and clearly understood that Wells had definitely withheld some crucial information.

He hadn't expected Wells to suddenly bring out all these important documents.

He pondered deeply what reason would cause Wells to suddenly bring out these withheld, key documents to him. Of course, this wasn't all, but it was enough to prove that Wells possessed all the information.

He speculated deeply.

Wells continued to stare intently at Lin Li from the side, as if expecting Lin Li to give an evaluation.

"Didn't this information make you happy?"

"What are you thinking?"

"Are you thinking about why I suddenly brought out this information to you?"

"You really do know my identity."

"Just how much do you know?"

Thinking carefully, Wells guessed that his identity as the Man in Yellow must have been known by Lin Li, or perhaps from the very beginning, he possessed the ability of magnetic field induction, knew about the Time Vault from the start, knew that he frequently entered and exited the Time Vault from the start, and began to suspect, remaining silent, secretly investigating and hiding from the beginning… It's only been a little over a month, and his Reverse-Flash identity has been completely exposed. Was it too much to confront him as Reverse-Flash for the first time? That time was indeed too impulsive.

He gripped his wheelchair, feeling a mix of tension, resentment, anger, and a hint of fear. He realized too late. He had thought he could control and toy with Lin Li, but he hadn't expected Lin Li to use this to maneuver around him.

This bit of information, or even all the information given to Lin Li, was of no concern to Wells. It was irrelevant; he only brought it out to test Lin Li's reaction now and in the near future.

Even if Lin Li knew that Wells had found out and chose to break ties and fight him head-on, he could still rely on his residual Speed Force to escape to a place Lin Li couldn't find, and then plan his next move.

But he was unwilling. This was his hard work of fourteen years. Barry had already become The Flash. As long as a little more time passed, and Barry continued to run faster and faster, he would recover. Lin Li was nothing; Wells had a hundred ways to kill him.

But not now. Currently, his recovery was too slow. Since he only suspected last night that Lin Li knew his identity, he didn't have time to create future technology to counter Lin Li. He believed Lin Li was a smart person and wouldn't expose him now. Lin Li still needed his help, and this was his advantage, irreplaceable. Wells had to demonstrate an irreplaceable advantage, guiding, instructing, teaching, and controlling Lin Li from a position of superiority.

Fortunately, both Lin Li and he were smart people, and smart people rarely resort to direct force to solve problems.

After finishing, Lin Li pondered for a moment before showing a look of joy and saying, "Dr. Wells, you truly are the most brilliant researcher globally. With this data you've theorized, as long as I can synthesize metal that can withstand strong magnetic gravitational fields and other issues, I'll be able to construct a stable point within the singularity. The singularity opening a wormhole will become a reality. By then, I'll definitely be able to go home. Thank you, Dr. Wells."

Unfortunately, Lin Li's expression of joy came too late. Dr. Wells had already determined that he knew his identity, though he wasn't sure to what extent. Wells guessed that at most, he probably knew that he was the murderer of Barry's mother. As for other things, like his true identity, Eobard Thawne, and the fact that he traveled from the future, Wells guessed Lin Li would absolutely not know these things.

In fact, no matter how clever Wells was, he never imagined that he was merely a villain in a TV show, and Lin Li had watched the show and knew everything about him.

Wells took out a blue USB, handed it to Lin Li, and said, "Lin Li, everything you need is here."

Lin Li took the USB, but his heart was filled with suspicion. Wells, you're a bit abnormal today, handing all sorts of information to me so quickly. This made Lin Li very suspicious, but he couldn't guess anything. He couldn't guess Wells's purpose, couldn't guess what he wanted to do to him.

A person throws a few breadcrumbs, testing the ants to see how they react. Will they like to eat it? Will they carry it back? Will they go left or right?

The ant wonders, what is his purpose in throwing breadcrumbs?

He just wants to see your reaction so he can decide whether to step left or right, to crush you more accurately.

Lin Li, you are that ant. Even if you know I am Reverse-Flash, you cannot, and will not, say anything. You certainly won't tell Barry. You will only want to use me, use me to achieve your way home.
