"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 256: Live Broadcasting PDA

In the waiting area, Draconis Yi and his group found Sairaorg and Seekvaira, fresh from their match.

"Congrats on making it through," Rias said warmly to Sairaorg, then turned to Seekvaira with a gentle smile. "That last push was a bit unlucky, but your strategy was flawless. You're truly impressive, Seekvaira-san."

Seekvaira shook her head, a wry smile tugging at her lips. "No need to comfort me. Against raw power, no strategy can bridge the gap. I get it." Losing to Sairaorg was expected, but disappointment lingered.

Rias flashed Sairaorg a confident grin. "Do you need time to recover?"

Sairaorg shrugged, casual as ever. "This level of exertion doesn't require recovery."

Seekvaira shot him a look. "Ouch. So you just wiped the floor with us without even breaking a sweat?"

Sairaorg laughed, big and hearty. "I'm just a fighter at heart, Seekvaira-san. Don't take it personally."

The announcer's voice echoed, calling each peerage to the stage. Rias and Sairaorg exchanged nods, then led their teams toward the teleportation arrays.

"Sairaorg's peerage looks pretty tough," Draconis Yi remarked, standing on the array. He turned to Koneko and Xenovia, a playful smile on his face. "Think you can handle them?"

"We're outnumbered, but we're confident," Xenovia replied, her tone all business.

Koneko tugged Draconis Yi's sleeve, her voice soft but determined. "Leave their peerage to us, okay?"

He raised an eyebrow. "You sure?"

"It's a good chance to test ourselves." Her gaze was gentle, full of quiet resolve.

Draconis Yi nodded. "Alright, if you insist, I'm behind you all the way."

It was just a Rating Game—no real danger. Let them have their fun. If he stepped in, the fight would be over in seconds anyway.

Rias gave a rueful laugh. "Ever since your breakthrough, these games have lost all suspense. I don't know whether to cry or laugh."

Draconis Yi grinned. "Want to test yourself too?"

Rias sighed. "Of course. You'll be promoted to high-class devil soon, independent from me… How am I supposed to win Rating Games after you leave?"

She spread her hands, unable to imagine life without Draconis Yi on her team. Would it be 'win with him, lose without' forever?

He squeezed her hand. "Don't overthink it. If you ever face someone you can't beat, just call me back. I'll always be your knight—and your soldier."

The words hit Rias hard. If not for the public setting, she might have thrown herself into his arms right then.

Asia, Xenovia, and Koneko watched, a little envious. Rias's advantage was just too overwhelming. All they could do was wait for a chance to steal the spotlight.

The magic circle blazed, and the group teleported into the battle space.

With Khaos Brigade out of the picture, the Rating Game could finally proceed without interference.

Draconis Yi didn't summon any clones this time—otherwise Akeno and the others would be at too much of a disadvantage. He alone filled ten chess pieces of Rias's team, and she was still short a Rook.

Before, Draconis Yi had handled most of the strong enemies solo. But now, with him staying out of the fray, the pressure on Akeno and the others was immense. Fighting outnumbered was no easy task.

Still, Akeno and the girls seemed confident.

"We're heading out," Xenovia announced.

"Keep in touch!" Rias called after them, smiling.

The girls set off to engage the enemy, while Draconis Yi stayed behind with Rias to guard their base.

Soon, the external cameras locked onto Rias, broadcasting the scene to the entire Underworld. Viewers saw Draconis Yi and Rias strolling hand-in-hand around their headquarters, pointing at distant scenery, laughing and chatting.

"Uh… are they really flirting at a time like this?" The announcer sounded baffled. The audience was stunned for a moment, then flooded with envy and jealousy.

"Damn, Princess Rias really got snatched by that bastard…"

"What's so great about him? He's just a bit handsome, a bit strong, a bit considerate…"

Princess Rias was the dream girl of half the Underworld. Seeing her walk hand-in-hand with Draconis Yi, smiling with pure happiness, broke a thousand hearts. Every guy watching wished he could trade places with Draconis Yi.

Draconis Yi was well aware the cameras were on them—broadcast across the Underworld, no less. So he kept it to hand-holding and light flirting; he had no interest in live-streaming his more intimate side.

Otherwise, he'd probably have Rias pinned beneath him for a passionate kiss by now.

Suddenly, violent magical fluctuations erupted in the distance—Akeno and the others had clashed with Sairaorg's peerage.

"Akeno and the girls have grown a lot lately, but Sairaorg's team is still incredibly strong," Rias said, a hint of worry in her voice.

"They're all much stronger now. Don't worry," Draconis Yi reassured her.

He knew them well—after all, nightly intimacy gave him a pretty good read on their magical strength.

Akeno and Koneko had mastered their bloodline powers, Asia's Sacred Gear control kept improving, and Xenovia now wielded his Holy Sword, Ascalon. Just four girls, but enough to give any opponent a headache.

Sure enough, the broadcast soon announced the results.

Sairaorg's Rook, Knight, and Bishop pieces—all retired.

On Rias's side, Akeno, Koneko, and Xenovia were also retired. Asia followed soon after; with all the main fighters gone, even her super-healer abilities couldn't turn the tide.

The battle was fierce, but Draconis Yi wasn't surprised.

He smiled at Rias. "Let's go. Sairaorg's been waiting for us."
