"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 255: Tonight, All Three Together
Back in Maou territory, the tension finally broke as Rias and her team returned. Everyone who'd been waiting exhaled in relief.
"Looks like you pulled off a win," Sirzechs said, smiling.
"Mission accomplished, Lord Lucifer." Rias bowed with perfect form, her face bright with pride. She didn't hesitate to claim credit for Draconis Yi: "Loki was eliminated by my peerage member, Draconis Yi."
"Excellent. You all did outstanding work. I'll make sure it's remembered," Sirzechs replied, nodding his approval.
Rias added, a little rueful, "Fenrir was snatched away by Khaos Brigade's schemes, though."
If they'd managed to deal with Fenrir, it would've removed a lingering threat.
Sirzechs waved it off. "No need to worry about that now. Go get some rest."
Michael glanced at Odin. "Is this really alright? Loki was an important god to you."
Odin's smile was bittersweet. "Times change. We have to make sacrifices too." His voice was calm, but his eyes held a world of complexity.
On the way back, Draconis Yi ran into Sairaorg.
"Heard you took on a mission. Need time to recover for tomorrow's tournament?" Sairaorg asked.
Draconis Yi shrugged. "A match is nothing. Killing a chief god isn't that exhausting."
Rias joined them, smiling playfully. "Don't expect us to go easy on you tomorrow."
"That's exactly what I want. I'm looking forward to fighting for the rookie championship." Sairaorg's laugh was as hearty as ever.
After parting ways, Rias turned to Draconis Yi. "It's still early. What should we do next? If you're tired, we could head back to rest… maybe soak in the hot springs together?"
Draconis Yi's eyes lingered on her, a teasing smile on his lips. "That doesn't sound much like resting."
Rias blushed instantly. Before she could stammer a reply, Akeno chimed in, voice sly: "Rias, did you keep Draconis Yi busy with… that last night?"
"Ah? I—I just…" Rias floundered, cheeks burning. She was never good at hiding her feelings, especially in moments like this.
Akeno's knowing grin widened. "How unfair. We all agreed to rest and prepare for the battle."
"I just couldn't sleep!" Rias protested, flustered.
Draconis Yi stepped in, chuckling. "It was my idea. Don't tease Rias, Akeno."
Akeno's eyes sparkled. "Then as punishment for Rias breaking the rules, after tomorrow's match, Draconis Yi has to go on a date with me. One day all to myself—is that fair, Rias?"
Rias hesitated, sensing something deeper in Akeno's tone. "Akeno, are you…?"
Akeno smiled, but there was a hint of vulnerability. "I just want him to spend time with me."
"Alright…" Rias relented, casting Draconis Yi a meaningful look. He caught on instantly.
"A date with Akeno? I'm looking forward to it. Guess I'll have to finish tomorrow's match quickly," he joked, earning a smile from Akeno.
She suddenly leaned in, arms looping around Draconis Yi's neck, and kissed him full on the lips.
"Guh!?" Rias, Asia, and the others stared in shock.
Irina and Rossweisse, who hadn't left yet, gawked. They hadn't quite grasped what Akeno meant by "doing that" before, but now it was painfully clear.
Both swallowed hard. Rossweisse's knees nearly buckled. She was a Valkyrie whose age matched her years of singlehood—these people had no sense of mercy.
Rossweisse's eyes brimmed with tears as she fled the scene.
Akeno finally let Draconis Yi go, breathless but smiling. "Ara ara, sorry. I was going to wait until tomorrow, but I couldn't help myself."
She looked anything but sorry—if anything, she seemed even more eager.
Rias gritted her teeth. "Then tonight is still mine."
Asia's eyes filled with tears. "No… I don't want to be left out…"
"Me too," Xenovia chimed in, not to be outdone.
"Guh!? Even you, Xenovia?" Irina was horrified.
"Yes. Oh, Irina, you should join us. It's really wonderful," Xenovia said, inviting her in earnest.
Draconis Yi groaned. "Don't joke, Xenovia. Irina's an angel. Tonight, you two can join Rias—yeah, I can handle it."
Irina's face went crimson. "You… you're all so shameless!"
She looked mortified, but couldn't help whispering to Xenovia, "Did you really do it? Is it… nice?"
"Of course! It's a desire worth surrendering to," Xenovia replied, utterly sincere.
As everyone stared in disbelief, Irina's angel wings appeared—faintly tinged with black.
"Wait—calm down," Draconis Yi said, cold sweat running down his back. Was Irina about to fall from grace?
After much effort, he managed to soothe Irina's wild imagination. He exhaled, mind spinning.
What was even happening anymore?
Rossweisse was nowhere to be seen, having run off in tears. Draconis Yi's chaotic love life had clearly traumatized her.
That night, Draconis Yi found himself up against three at once. Akeno sat out, insisting she needed to prepare for her date. Eventually, Draconis Yi drifted off to sleep, surrounded by the girls.
The next day, thanks to previous delays, the rookie tournament's championship match was finally set.
Rias's team, having defeated Diodora and thwarted the Khaos Brigade, had earned their shot at the title.
After a night of passionate "recovery," Rias was positively glowing, her steps light and energetic. Maybe perfect romance really did make you stronger.
During Sairaorg's match against Seekvaira, Rias, as King, took the stage for interviews, fielding questions with poise and wit.
Sairaorg's victory was a foregone conclusion—his strength among the younger generation was unmatched.
And so, the final showdown was set: Sairaorg versus Rias.
