Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 : Void dragon awakening

Alex's eyes gleamed as he read the reward.

> Void Dragon Bloodline Awakening (10% increase).

He narrowed his gaze. Only ten percent… That's not enough.

His mind raced back to the story. The Aetherix Clan was famed for their dragon blood, but among them, Alex had been the only male born in centuries—and still, his awakening had failed. The truth was clear now. His bloodline had never been truly dormant… it had been incomplete.

But now he had the system.

"System," he whispered, voice steady, " awaken my void dragon bloodline… to one hundred percent?"

Ding!

> Host request detected. Warning: Awakening void dragon bloodline to 100% will place immense strain on body. Proceed?

Alex's fists clenched. His heart thundered. This is my chance. If I want to survive cain , if I want to change fate, I can't remain weak.

"Do it," he growled.

The moment the words left his mouth, agony exploded through his veins.

It was as if molten fire and freezing ice raced through him at once. His bones creaked, muscles tore and mended, and his very soul felt as though it was being devoured and reborn. He dropped to his knees, clutching his chest, his breath ragged.

"Gh—ahh…!"

The pain was unbearable, far beyond anything he had ever known. Every nerve screamed, every heartbeat was like thunder threatening to shatter him.

But Alex gritted his teeth, his vision swimming. I won't break. Not here. Not now. If this is the price of power, I'll pay it a thousand times.

Black lines spread across his skin, glowing faintly with a void-like aura that seemed to devour light itself. His nails lengthened, his eyes burned with an otherworldly glow—deep amethyst with streaks of black flame dancing in them.

The room itself trembled, shadows stretching unnaturally along the walls as though bowing to the awakening of something ancient and terrible.

Minutes felt like hours. But at last—

Ding!

> Void Dragon Bloodline fully awakened: 100%.

All restrictions on dragon skills removed.

New innate ability unlocked: Void Domain.

Alex collapsed onto the carpet, gasping for air, drenched in sweat. His body still ached, but a flood of vitality coursed through him, fierce and unyielding.

Slowly, he raised his hand. It no longer trembled. Power pulsed in his veins like a second heartbeat.

A grin spread across his lips.

"I'm no longer the trash prince," he whispered. "I am… the true Void Dragon .

Breath ragged, Alex dragged himself upright, his gaze falling on the tall mirror across the room.

What he saw stunned even him.

The frail, childish body from earlier was gone. His frame had stretched, bones and muscles sculpted into perfection. His once-flat abdomen now bore a chiseled eight-pack, each line defined like an artist's masterpiece. Broad shoulders, powerful limbs, and the sleek elegance of a predator—all wrapped in skin that shimmered faintly with draconic aura.

No longer did he resemble a fragile boy of twelve. Now, the reflection staring back was that of a youth of fifteen or sixteen, with a physique that radiated raw power and vitality.

His face… handsome before, had transformed into something almost divine. Noble features sharpened, his eyes glowing faintly with void-tinged amethyst light. He exuded a charm so overwhelming it could topple the hearts of countless maidens at a glance.

Alex flexed his hand, and strength surged like a tide through his veins. This power… it's real. I've become something far beyond human.

But then—

A deafening ROAR come from his body split the skies.

It wasn't just heard. It was felt.

A dragon's cry, ancient and supreme, erupted from within him and echoed across the world.

Mountains trembled. Rivers quaked. In the Dragon empire, every man, woman, and child froze as the sky itself seemed to shudder. The roar pressed down like an invisible weight, suffocating and absolute.

The weak collapsed instantly, their knees buckling as they bowed toward the source of the sound. Even seasoned warriors, hardened by years of battle, broke into a cold sweat, their hearts gripped by primal fear.

And the dragons…

Across the empire , great wings unfurled and mighty heads lowered. Lesser dragons trembled, dropping to the ground in instinctive worship. Stronger dragons held themselves upright, but even they gazed toward the distant palace with eyes filled with awe and disbelief.

In the Royal Palace of Aetherix, chaos erupted. Royal family members, generals, and attendants alike rushed from their chambers, their senses locked onto the impossible aura surging from one direction.

"The Void…" one old general whispered, trembling. "That… that pressure is… it can't be…"

"Quick! To the young prince's quarters!" another roared, as dozens of powerful figures surged toward the same destination.

Meanwhile, in the heart of it all, Alex stood before his mirror, chest rising and falling steadily.

His reflection no longer showed a forgotten child destined for death.

It showed the awakening of a dragon god.
