Rose returned back to Chloe's house and acted like nothing happened. Rose begged Chloe and apologized for what she did. When Rose apologized, Chloe knew something was fishy cause her friend would never accept defeat. Chloe sideline her suspicion and accepted her apology. Rose felt a sense of victory for she had ratted out her friend and tricked her at the same time.
The next day, Max contacted Chloe and asked to meet her at the park. Chloe immediately got dressed in her best outfit and flashed out of the house. Max was already waiting for her when she arrived. Max stared and gazed at her giving her the stranger feeling, the gaze was intense. Chloe felt strange and enquired about the problem. Max questioned her character which left Chloe astonished with fear when Max repeatedly inquired about her character. Chloe was filled with inspiring doubt, she kept thinking of what could have gone over Max. At last, she spoke and asked why Max was behaving in that manner towards her. Max blasted back at her and said "You are nothing but a fake, wretched, worthless and despicable bitch." Chloe didn't know when tears rolled down her cheeks as she slapped Max hard across his cheek. He felt a sharp pain hit him, "ARGGHHH!." Max eyes became red like that of a person whose eye has been effused with blood is apoplectic. Max wanted to return the slap but held back his hands. Chloe held his hands with a hard grip and he was dazzled by Chloe's performance. Max using his power forcefully released his hands from Chloe's grip. " I have made a terrible mistake, I thought you were timid. Max said, Chloe laughed and replied, "I know you're joking, you do know me. I don't know why you're behaving like this but I am definitely sure you've learned something about me from Rose, possibly I guess."
Max laughed, "oh you don't even even trust your 'best friend'. You're right, last night I don't know what happened between you two but she came and spilled the beans which I believe was perfidy." Clie was left dumbfounded, she knew it as she sensed something suspicious when Rose returned after their argument. Max said, "you've such a good and trustworthy friend." he said sarcastically. Chloe replied" hmm, yeah I do". " I've not forgotten that you slapped me and are you some kind of wrestler or boxer cause I can see you have a strong grip." Max changed the topic. "Actually, I didn't mean to slap you, it was just because of the names you called me." Chloe said. "Don't worry, it's all cool" Max replied.
"Aren't you angry or feeling rage towards me after betraying your trust, I mean ..." Max cut Chloe off before she finished speaking."it's okay, don't fret."
"I can't believe this , you're actually nice, l love that. I'll take my leave now because I have to deal with that snake." Chloe said. "who?." Max asked, "Rose!"Chloe replied. "Do you know that she actually called you a snake when she came to meet me" Max asked chloe. "Really! , how dare she!, she'll pay for this" Chloe replied fuming with anger. "easy there honey" Max said. Chloe bade Max goodbye and she took her leave.
Few minutes later, on her(Chloe) home, she phoned Rose to meet up with her in a nearby cafe close to her house. When Rose got there , she returned back to her sweet and friendly nature and stocked with Chloe. "Are you hiding something from me" Chloe asked. "What... what do you mean.....I mean..... Why will...you don't trust me or do you?." Rose declared. "I don't care whatever you think, and do you know people stammer when they're lying " Chloe said. "I know you don't trust me, I'm leaving,bye." Rose said in an elude tone.
After two days,Max contacted Chloe and asked whether she had sent Rose packing or not but Chloe replied that she still wanted to torment her.
