Deep within the vastness of space, a single Pokémon rested, surrounded by thousands of floating letters known only as the unknown.
This Pokémon's name was Arceus, and for the first time in centuries, it was time to once more create. Acting on behalf of their master, the unknown scoured the universe for a suitable vessel.
They searched through many planets, across vast galaxies. And finally, they found what they were searching for. A single soul, one of many they had prodded for the necessary qualities. Many souls had already corroded under the pressure the unknown had to place upon them, unworthy to receive the responsibility which Arceus had prepared.
Through their thousand eyes, the unknown tested this soul. Yes, this one. He would fulfill Arceus' mission.
The unknown returned to their master. And Arceus gave his assent. The god's eyes closed, and a shiver of power rushed through the fabric of the universe. The unknown shook with the might of Arceus and shifted; thousands of them ran into the soul's core. They formed long lines, an unending chain linked by the thousands of Pokémon.
After the process had finished, Arceus once again used his power and sent the spirit careening through space. Of its many creations, none had Arceus created with such weak power, and none had he created so dangerous.
