Leon watched Elena drive away, a smile on his face. He was more than satisfied with that upgrade job.
Her Porsche wasn't slow to begin with — top speed around 288 km/h. With nitrous, she could definitely break 350.
The only question was: did this girl have the skills to handle it? If she lost control on a corner, Leon wasn't about to take the blame.
He scrubbed the oil off his hands, closed shop, and started making dinner.
Ding!
"Mission complete. Level up to 3. All attributes +100."
"Reward: Super Glass installed."
The system's voice rang out, more pleasing than ever. Leon spun around just in time to see his Silver Brute glow brilliantly.
This time, every piece of glass lit up — not just the windshields, but the headlights, mirrors, gauge cover… any surface that was glass had been replaced.
"Perfect." Leon's grin widened.
Now he didn't have to worry about bullets. This new glass was not only bulletproof, but blast-resistant — and if it cracked, it could auto-repair.
Speed and safety, both maxed out.
He could barely wait for the next upgrade.
Ding!
"New mission: Fulfill a neighbor's request. Reward: +1 Level, Ultrasonic Water-Repellent System."
Another jackpot.
Leon's eyes lit up. Even something as trivial as a wiper was holding cars back. Traditional wipers added weight, needed motors, and forced designers to reserve space for them — messing with aerodynamics.
Get rid of them, and the car's lines would be smoother, drag would drop… for a supercar, every fraction of performance mattered.
"What's the principle behind this system?" Leon asked.
"Ultrasonic transducers mounted on the windshield emit vibrations that clear away any debris — water, mud, snow, even bugs."
Without wiper motors, the car gained better aero, and no more scraping ice in winter either. Multifunctional, futuristic — and very cool.
Leon couldn't help but get hyped. Who would've thought such a tiny part like a wiper could open up so much potential?
He wanted that reward now.
Still buzzing, he hummed while cooking steak, then cleaned up and wondered: When will the neighbor's request trigger?
Right on cue: knock knock.
"Coming." Leon's pulse quickened.
He strolled to the door, opened it — and froze.
Standing outside was a stunning blonde in a tight outfit that showed off her figure.
Fair skin, golden hair, curves that screamed trouble.
She brightened instantly at the sight of him.
"You are?" Leon asked cautiously.
"I'm your neighbor — Pasha."
"Ah, hello." Leon shook her hand politely. "What brings you here?"
"Well… my friend's arriving tonight, but my dad's not home. He only left me the family car…" She hesitated, clearly embarrassed.
In this small, run-down town, most families couldn't afford anything flashy. Compared to the monster in Leon's garage, her car must've felt pathetic.
Finally, she came out with it: "I can't drive. Could you… maybe give me a ride into the city to pick her up?"
That was it? Just a lift?
Did the system really plan to hand out high-tech upgrades for something that simple?
Leon frowned, suspicious. "Your friend — what does she do?"
"She just graduated with a degree in auto repair and modification. She's job-hunting, and came to visit me."
"Oh, her name's Letty," Pasha added casually.
Leon froze.
Letty?
His expression turned strange. If he remembered right, wasn't Letty supposed to be Dominic Toretto's girl?
Is the system seriously pushing me to steal Dom's woman?
"Doesn't she have a boyfriend? Can't he pick her up?" Leon pressed, wary.
If Dom showed up, things would get messy. After all, Leon had hijacked their cargo before, and even taken out Dom's crew.
If Dom recognized his car, fists would fly… maybe even bullets.
But Pasha blinked in surprise. "Boyfriend? No, she's single. Totally unattached."
Wait.
So this was before she met Dom?
Leon's grin slowly spread.
What if I really do take Dom's girl first?
That would be… exhilarating.
