Chapter 262 - Chapter 262: Sealing Ragnaros

Gale summoned the Rainbow Bridge and left with Luna.

Smaug accelerated again, pouncing on Ragnaros. Ragnaros grabbed him by the neck and slammed him to the ground.

However, such damage was no longer a big deal for Smaug. After transforming into a fire elemental, Ragnaros's biggest advantage disappeared.

The two engaged in close combat, and Smaug held his own completely in the short term. But it wouldn't last long, as Ragnaros was an elemental being with no stamina limits; the longer it dragged on, the more advantageous it was for him.

What Gale needed was for Smaug to hold on for a while. He teleported to the fleet with Luna, entrusted Luna to Salador's care, and then teleported back to Twin Peaks Fortress.

Swinging the Miao Miao Hammer, he flew up to Icecrown Glacier.

This was the coldest place in Azeroth, and Gale would complete the final step of the Ancient Winter Coffin here.

He flew to the highest glacier, took out the box, and activated the titan runes on it.

The box began to absorb the cold, and the temperature gradually rose. The glacier, unchanged for tens of thousands of years, began to melt. Trickles gathered into streams, which then converged into rivers, flowing down the glacier and into the sea in the northwest direction.

Yodenheim was a village of the Vrykul's Dragon Rider Clan, where the Vrykul lived by fishing and hunting. They led quiet and peaceful lives, never expecting disaster to strike one day. Waist-deep floods surged down from the glacier, destroying their homes, sweeping away their fishing boats, and many Vrykul were also washed into the sea.

Gale was fully focused on creating the Ancient Ice Coffin and had no idea that the Vrykul of Yodenheim were suffering an undeserved calamity.

Seven days later, the Ancient Ice Coffin finally stopped absorbing the cold.

Gale picked it up, and the cold emanating from it almost froze him solid.

With a gentle wave of his hand, he sealed the cold from the Ancient Ice Coffin. He glanced at Icecrown Glacier; most of the solid ice had disappeared, and in some places, the permafrost beneath the glacier was exposed. The melted water had converged into more than a dozen rivers, and due to the lack of proper channels, the floods were rampant and uncontrollable across the glacier.

At this rate, it wouldn't be long before life might appear here.

Creating an Ancient Ice Coffin had changed the topography of an entire map, and Gale found it quite wondrous.

The Vrykul of Yodenheim sent out a small team, enduring countless hardships to climb the glacier. From a distance, they saw a rainbow rise, and then the cold returned to the glacier, and the rivers gradually froze, forming new glaciers.

From this, they concluded that the rainbow was definitely responsible.

From then on, they hated rainbows.

Redridge Mountain.

Smaug and Ragnaros had battled for seven days and seven nights, and Smaug was utterly exhausted. If not for the fleet's help, Smaug would have been defeated long ago.

These past few days, the fire elementals had also been shot down by the fleet. They cleverly retreated back into the mountains, no longer giving the fleet a chance to shoot them.

Ragnaros's temper grew increasingly volatile, and with his rage, flames and lava continuously erupted. Not a single intact piece of vegetation could be found on Redridge Mountain, and lava even flowed into the seawater, forming new land after cooling. The gaps in the middle of the canyon were also filled with lava, and the entire Redridge Mountain was seamlessly stuck together.

The upper part of Gale's Tower had been knocked down by Smaug, and its exterior was charred black. Volcanic ash poured in through the breaks, filling the entire tower.

"Die, you annoying little worm!"

Ragnaros pressed Smaug to the ground with one hand, and with the other, he raised his warhammer and brought it down.

Smaug kicked at Ragnaros with his legs but couldn't break free from Ragnaros's grip.

Just as the hammer was about to strike Smaug's head, a hammer flew straight in, hitting Ragnaros on the forehead and sending a shower of sparks.

Ragnaros looked angrily in the direction the hammer came from, only to see a rainbow follow, piercing through his chest.

However, Ragnaros's chest quickly healed. For a pure elemental being, physical damage was completely ineffective.

Gale turned in the air and threw the eternal spear. The eternal spear pierced through Ragnaros's arm, once again stopping his attack on Smaug.

He reached out as he fell, recalling Mjolnir. Gale ascended again, flying towards Ragnaros.

Ragnaros suddenly turned, grabbed Gale in his hand, and cackled, "Got you, little worm."

"Your Majesty!"

Smaug struggled, pouncing at Ragnaros. But Ragnaros simply flung him aside, sending him back into the lava.

"Get out of here! Once I kill him, I'll come for you!"

Flames ignited in Ragnaros's hand, intending to burn Gale to ashes. But the flames seemed to be controlled by some power, growing smaller and smaller.

A chill emanated from his hand. Ragnaros opened his palm in confusion, only to see Gale holding an ice box, looking at him smugly.

"What is this..."

"The thing that will take your life!"

Gale held the Ancient Winter Coffin with both hands and released the cold air from within. Frost gradually covered Ragnaros's palm, spreading from his palm to his body.

"No—"

Ragnaros tried to shake Gale off, but his arm was completely frozen and beyond his control. He raised his hammer, intending to shatter the ice, but the frost spread faster than he imagined. Before the hammer could strike, his entire body was covered in frost.

Smaug watched in astonishment as Ragnaros turned into an ice sculpture, standing frozen on the spot.

Is this the new divine artifact His Majesty forged? To possess such power?

Ragnaros still tried to make a final struggle, using flames to melt the solid ice. But Gale quickly suppressed the flames, and eventually, the cold penetrated Ragnaros's body, extinguishing the flames.

"Crack—"

With a crisp sound, the ice sculpture broke and scattered across the ground.

Ragnaros was sent back to the Firelands, and his hammer fell onto the lava, becoming Gale's trophy.

Gale landed on the ground, releasing the remaining cold from the Ancient Ice Coffin, extinguishing all flames and cooling the lava. All fire elementals on Redridge Mountain, except for Smaug, were frozen into ice sculptures.

Smaug shivered from the cold. Gale pointed a finger, and in a magical glow, Smaug transformed into an elf.

Gale took out some clothes and threw them to him, "Put these on!"

Smaug put on the clothes, looking fearfully at the Ancient Ice Coffin.

Gale comforted him, "Don't be afraid of it; it was prepared for Ragnaros."

Smaug twitched the corner of his mouth. He knew it was for Ragnaros, but it countered all fire elementals!

The fleet gradually approached the shore, and the Kaldorei once again set foot on Redridge Mountain. They stared in awe at the entire icy island, momentarily speechless.

Until Salador's voice came, "Long live King Gale!"

Only then did the Kaldorei awaken as if from a dream, shouting along, "Long live King Gale!"

"Long live King Gale!"
