Without Odyn's reinforcements, Gale was still prepared to launch an attack.
He hadn't moved against Helya before because he lacked precise intelligence on the Netherworld.
The Netherworld, after all, was not on the main plane of Azeroth, and Gale could not observe it through the Arcane Eye.
Left with no choice, he could only let adventurers gather intelligence on the Netherworld.
If one person couldn't do it, then ten, a hundred, a thousand, or ten thousand people surely could, and at least one would bring back information about the Netherworld.
He had prepared for hundreds, even thousands of years, but unexpectedly, in less than a year, Adal Riverwind escaped from the Netherworld.
Now that he possessed intelligence on the Netherworld and absolute power, he naturally wouldn't let Helya continue to escape justice.
Since the Kvaldir attacked the Shadowsong Fleet, the two sides had become enemies.
When dealing with enemies, Gale always acted decisively and thoroughly, eradicating them root and branch.
Upon reaching Valdisdall, the Nordrassil army had already arrived.
Gale left Nalarex to serve as quartermaster, preparing supplies for the army.
He personally led the army north towards the mountains, and after entering Hovswald, began clearing out the Kvaldir within.
The Kvaldir failed to stop the Earth Spirit, and Helya knew this battle was unavoidable.
She had the Kvaldir occupy Hovswald, serving as the first barrier to the Netherworld.
This approach earned Gale's appreciation; the more foolish the enemy, the more he liked them.
While the Kvaldir were strong, it depended on who they were compared to.
They were certainly invincible against ordinary creatures, but in front of spellcasters, their soul-state made their weaknesses too obvious.
Gale didn't even need to act; Aeon significantly reduced their power.
Then Aeon blessed all the warriors, granting them the power to harm souls.
Draksa led the warriors to the front line; this time, he didn't use his exclusive divine artifact but instead wielded a long-handled scythe.
Gale temporarily entrusted the Reaver's Scythe to Draksa; the Reaver's Scythe was a soul-type divine artifact.
After Gale lifted its curse, the Reaver's Scythe had not been used, and with the eternal spear, there was even less need for it.
The eternal spear possessed seven divine powers; all the abilities of the Reaver's Scythe were present in the eternal spear.
Furthermore, the eternal spear had abilities that the Reaver's Scythe lacked.
Now, in the assault on the Netherworld, the Reaver's Scythe proved useful.
With each swing of the Reaver's Scythe by Draksa, a Kvaldir would vanish from this world, transforming into pure soul energy.
The Reaver's Scythe absorbed and accumulated this soul energy.
Soon, most of the Kvaldir in Hovswald were cleared out, with only a few dozen remaining near the portal.
Draksa led the army forward, and the Kvaldir charged, attempting to turn these invading enemies into souls and kill them.
They were all brutal individuals bred on the Eternal Battlefield, each with hundreds, even thousands, of 'soul' lives on their hands.
The Kaldorei warriors were facing so many Kvaldir for the first time and were incredibly nervous.
Draksa, however, curled his lip in disdain, stepped forward a few paces, and the energy on the Reaver's Scythe erupted, instantly transforming the dozens of Kvaldir into soul energy.
After occupying Hovswald, Gale established the main camp near the portal.
He remained constantly vigilant for changes in the portal, eliminating any Kvaldir that emerged from it.
After a while, Helya must have realized that someone was guarding the portal, so she stopped sending people through.
Gale felt a bit unsatisfied; if the enemies kept appearing like this, he wouldn't need to invade the Netherworld.
What a pity!
He quickly wondered if Helya would do the same on the other side of the portal when he attacked the Netherworld.
But the next second, he shook his head.
He had Aggramar's Shield, so even if Helya personally attacked, it would be difficult to break through Aggramar's Shield's energy barrier in a short time, giving the army enough time to enter the Netherworld.
Draksa approached Gale and said, "Your Majesty, I request to be the first to enter the Netherworld!"
Gale was puzzled, "Draksa, you are already a Major General of the Footmen, why do you still want to fight so desperately?"
Draksa looked at Gale, "You are already His Majesty, yet you still always charge to the front?"
Gale understood; Draksa was advising him not to put himself in danger.
During the War of the Ancients, it was out of necessity, having no choice but to jump into the portal to fight.
But now, Gale's life was linked to the entire Kaldorei Empire.
The Empire was flourishing, and if anything happened to Gale, this excellent situation would be lost.
Draksa and others had discussed in private that they absolutely could not let Gale take risks again.
He knew Gale would definitely be the first to enter the portal, which was why he requested to be the first to enter the Netherworld.
This way, there would at least be someone who could protect Gale, even if his chances of survival were far less than Gale's.
"I have Aggramar's Shield, what do you have?" Gale asked.
"You can give Aggramar's Shield to me to use, or Your Majesty can forge another divine shield for me."
Draksa's words reminded Gale that he possessed a scale from Deathwing.
In the game, Deathwing's scales could be crafted into divine shields, so it should be possible in reality too.
Thinking of this, Gale took out a magic forge from his magic satchel.
For convenience in forging, he now carried it and an anvil wherever he went.
Gale took out Deathwing's scale and, along with adamantine and other metals, threw them into the magic forge, then used the power of the Hammer of Kaz'goroth to fuse them together.
He also made a mold and poured the alloy liquid into it.
Soon, a golden shield took shape.
Gale engraved the runes of Aggramar's Shield onto it, then embedded an arcane crystal.
After charging it with an arcane gem, Gale connected the arcane crystal with the runes, activating the titan runes.
A burst of energy, weaker than that of Aggramar's Shield, erupted, pushing Draksa back repeatedly.
Gale, having experience using Aggramar's Shield, immediately cast spells to withstand the energy impact.
After the energy impact subsided, Gale raised the shield, feeling the power within it.
The materials were still a bit lacking; otherwise, it truly could have the same protective capabilities as Aggramar's Shield.
However, even if it was slightly inferior to Aggramar's Shield, it was still sufficient to withstand most attacks in this world.
"This is something I made using previous blueprints.
It's called Guardian's Glory; use it well."
Draksa took Guardian's Glory and said excitedly, "Your Majesty, I will never tarnish its reputation.
From now on, I will be your shield, protecting you from both open and hidden dangers."
"Alright, go familiarize yourself with it."
Gale sent Draksa away, saying exasperatedly, "Do I still need your protection?
It's not certain who protects whom between us!"
