Chapter 97 - Chapter 97: One Shot

Kana was shocked and quickly rushed forward a step, narrowly avoiding the stones kicked up by Shim-Eba's stomping hooves. However, he was still knocked flying by the shockwave, crashing into a tree and falling to the ground, unable to get up.

Shim-Eba was about to turn and kill Kana when he suddenly felt a wave of danger.

He twisted his body sharply and leaped to the side, knocking down a large tree before regaining his balance. Looking back at where he had just stood, over a dozen ice spears were embedded in the ground. If he hadn't dodged, he might have already been injured.

"Swish!"

Amidst spatial fluctuations, Gale appeared before Shim-Eba.

"I heard you were waiting for me?"

Shim-Eba stared at Gale. This Dark Troll actually possessed two artifacts. But even so, it was impossible for him to kill Nash and Shadra. loa were gods; no matter how weak their power, they were not beings that one or two artifacts could deal with.

"Did you kill Nash and Shadra?" Shim-Eba asked, puzzled.

Gale was also a bit puzzled: "That's right! Do you want to avenge them?"

The relationship between loa wasn't that good; they were actually in competition. Although this reindeer loa's followers didn't conflict with Nash and Shadra's, the lost followers of Nash and Shadra were his potential follower base. He probably wished Nash and Shadra were thoroughly dead.

Indeed, Shim-Eba didn't care about their lives or deaths at all.

"Avenge them? I'm not that bored. I just want to know how you killed them. With your strength, you couldn't possibly kill them."

Gale smiled, "Why don't you go ask them yourself?"

Shim-Eba sneered, ":mortals, you are blaspheming a god!"

"There is only one true god, Elune. You are, at most, a false god." Gale said unceremoniously, "If you don't surrender today, I will send you to meet Nash and Shadra -"

Gale suddenly changed his words, "No, you probably won't see them."

Shim-Eba didn't know what Gale meant, and he didn't intend to. Seeing that Gale relied on two artifacts, he hadn't even considered the possibility of defeat. Perhaps Gale could indeed kill Nash and Shadra, but his strength was not much worse than Nash and Shadra's; he was even more well-rounded than Nash and more powerful than Shadra.

As long as he was careful, he would definitely not lose to Gale.

Gale raised Nash's Fang and unleashed an Extreme Cold Storm at the Troll Army's defensive line.

"Hmph! Petty tricks!"

Shim-Eba snorted coldly, and a bright light emanated from his body. Under the light, all the trolls seemed to be enveloped by a warm stove. The snowflakes of the Extreme Cold Storm melted before they even touched the trolls.

Gale frowned. Extreme Cold Storm was the only "forbidden spell" he currently mastered.

Shim-Eba: "To use Water Elementals magic in front of me, you really don't put Father of Warm Winter in your eyes!"

The reason he was called Father of Warm Winter was because he had comprehended Sun Power. By utilizing the scorching heat of Sun Power, he could make the Frostmane Clan's dwelling place always sunny. Although the sun on the snowfield couldn't melt the accumulated snow, it could make the trolls' living environment less harsh.

Both the northeast and the Arctic have winters, but one can support a large population, while the other is sparsely populated. The Frostmane Clan's ability to thrive was largely due to Shim-Eba.

This was also why the Frostmane Clan respected Shim-Eba so much; his single word could mobilize all the nearby Frostmane Clan.

Gale did not give up his attack. Unable to use Extreme Cold Storm, he chose a simpler offense. Countless ice spears condensed and shot towards Shim-Eba as if they were free.

Shim-Eba conjured a shield of flames in front of him. The ice spears either shattered or dissolved upon hitting it. Furthermore, he still had the energy to counterattack, with countless flames raining down on Gale. Gale raised Aggramar's Shield, blocking the flames.

The two went back and forth, attacking each other but neither could gain an advantage.

Just then, Nasa and the others finally completed their prayers. A beam of moonlight descended, purifying the divine power on Smaug's wound and healing his injuries.

Smaug got up and looked at Shim-Eba furiously.

Shim-Eba's cold glance immediately made Smaug lower his head. This Proto-Dragon, who prided himself on his greatness, still couldn't shake his timid nature.

The Troll Army gradually approached. They couldn't join the loa's war, so they launched an attack on Smaug and the few Kaldorei. Although Smaug's injuries were healed, his stamina had not recovered. He grabbed the Kaldorei and once again soared into the sky, flying towards Solidan Town.

Seeing Smaug retreat, Gale immediately teleported away.

The flames struck where Gale had been standing, directly causing a large fire that burned both trees and land.

Shim-Eba curled his lips in disdain. Two artifacts? That's all there is to it.

He extinguished the flames. This forest would also be a place for his followers to live in the future, and he would protect it well.

The Troll Army advanced towards Solidan Town, with Shim-Eba slowly following behind. He held his head high, arrogantly watching the trolls' attack, occasionally giving the trolls buffs to help them increase their combat power. Those Vrykul called humans really didn't pique his interest.

He couldn't help but miss Gale a little. Although he was unworthy of his reputation, he was at least a formidable opponent.

Just as he was feeling smug, a beam of moonlight descended from the sky, enveloping him.

Shim-Eba immediately unleashed Sun Power, trying to shatter the moonlight. But the moonlight was extremely solid, and for a while, he was completely helpless.

As he struggled, he saw a group of Kaldorei emerge from the side forest. Gale was among them, and beside Gale was a female Kaldorei wearing an iron mask, who was leading the casting of the divine spell.

Seeing Shim-Eba under attack, the trolls immediately abandoned their assault on the town and all returned to rescue Shim-Eba.

But how could the Kaldorei and the humans let them have their way?

Carlos brandished Sanction Blade, "Kill all these trolls!"

The long-prepared Alpha Squad immediately launched a charge. The mages' two-hit combo was quickly unleashed, directly tearing a gap in the trolls' front line. Then the tall human warriors crashed in, directly disrupting the trolls' formation and forcing them to turn and fight back.

Only less than a thousand trolls returned to provide support, but Gale waved Nash's Fang, and countless ice spikes killed the trolls.

Gale took out devourer of gods and, using soul magic to its limit, absorbed the souls of the dead trolls. He then forged a Soul Blade and unleashed it towards Shim-Eba.

Shim-Eba watched the Soul Blade in horror, trying to resist. But he had not yet broken free from the moonlight's control and could only watch as the Soul Blade slowly pierced his chest.

Gale used the connection between devourer of gods and the Soul Blade to pull out Shim-Eba's soul and store it within devourer of gods.

devourer of gods was finally no longer blank. A golden reindeer pattern appeared on the first page. Beside it, his name was written:

"Father of Warm Winter" Shim-Eba!!!
