Chapter 33 - The Raw vessel

Chapter 33: The Raw Vessel

Damon stood alone at the maw of an S-Rank "High-Gravity" dungeon, a jagged rift where the atmospheric pressure was enough to liquefy common metal. While the Ancient Star-Shard was being integrated into his armor, Damon's focus was on a different kind of calibration. He refused to be a Sovereign who relied solely on the crutch of high-tier magic. To Damon, a king whose physical vessel was weaker than his mana was a king with a flaw. He sought a world of sanctuary for those he loved, but he knew that to maintain that peace, he had to be a pillar of strength that could never be toppled—even if every one of his skills was stripped away.

Without a word, he descended into the crushing dark. With a cold flick of his will, he manually locked his soul-vault. He didn't just suppress his recent gains like [Void Mind] or [Absolute Density]; he sealed every supernatural technique, passive buff, and arcane skill in his vast arsenal. He was intentionally stripping away his divinity. He didn't want a "fair fight" with the dungeon; he wanted to ensure that his raw, natural body was a masterpiece of iron-hard discipline that needed no external power to function.

The weight hit him instantly. His lungs burned, struggling to expand against the heavy air. Deep in the shadows, "Obsidian Ghouls" lunged to block his path. Damon didn't seek out violence for the sake of it, but he tolerated no bullshit from those who dared to obstruct his progress. To those who stood in his way, he offered a cold, physical finality. He didn't use skills. He used torque, leverage, and the explosive power of his own muscles.

When a Ghoul struck, Damon felt the impact rattle his teeth. His skin tore, and blood slicked his knuckles, but he didn't flinch. Every punch was a test of skeletal alignment; every kick was a measure of pure physical torque. He moved through the horde not as a god of magic, but as a man who had mastered the meat and bone of his own existence.

By the time he reached the lowest floor, Damon was drenched in sweat and blood, his muscles trembling at the absolute limit of endurance. He had cleared the path through sheer fitness and battlefield instinct. Standing in the silent center of the boss chamber, he looked at his bloodied, steady hands. He had proven his strength was fundamental, not borrowed. He was a peace-maker who now possessed the physical foundation to back up his decree. He wiped the blood from his brow, his eyes cold and satisfied. His body was finally a stable cage for the Star.
