Amethyst smiled as he nodded. She already saw a gold medal in his room when he won the best student runner of the year when he was still the lively kind. Him winning is not what she wants but for him to participate. Running is one of the best things he likes but he stopped and would only sit in one corner because of the rumors about him but she wanted that to stop. She wants him to show his talent and be lively once again. She wanted him to mingle with people and stop being cold. That was her goal, the real reason why she wanted him to participate in this upcoming competition.
'I think I would need lots of rest. You should practice beforehand. The competition is just in a week' she said and stood up, wink at him and smiled playfully. 'Goodbye' she waved, her eyes smiling along with her.
'Bye' he waved back subconscious, missing her even before leaves. She turned back then walks out of the classroom, tilting her head to steal glances at him frequently till she out of the classroom.

Everywhere turned silent and all heads tilt as Nathan walked. They are doing the training of the final selection of the person who would be selected for the upcoming inter-race when Nathan show up, joining the student on the line.
What is Nathan psycho doing here?
'Are you willing to join too?' the coach asked, brow creased yet eyes popped out.
'Yes' Nathan nodded positively, some students are already retreating yet eyes popped out.
'Okay then, you may' the coach replied then stepped back.
'3,2… shoot' the coach called then they all took off on their heels running but the coach who was both dumb strucked and brain paralyzed gazed at Nathan who had left others far away behind, the distance between them is what you can never imagine. It was as though he was a flash.
The coach couldn't close his agape mouth. It had been long since he last saw a person who could run as fast as this.

The day of the competition came earlier than expected and all the schools had already met at this stadium.
All athletes are already standing on the field, waiting for the count while the spectators and cheer ladies from different schools are cheering up their representatives.
'3,2… ' the coach counted while all athletes gets set for the run but Nathan is still standing there, gazing at amethyst who stood among the spectators, waving at him.
'shoot!' the last count came but Nathan is still waving at amethyst.
'Go!' Amethyst screamed and that is when Nathan got snapped out of his daze. He looks forward and then saw that the rest were gone. He got prepared, bend down the appropriate way as if recounting his own go ahead and shoot! He screamed in his mind before taking off on his heels, running as fast as he can.
It took him just a short period of time before he caught up with the person at the back and he left them behind. He caught up with the middle ones too and soon, he is moving close to the third person, slowly to the second but the first seems not to waver, leaving spaces between them that one would have make up the mind that Nathan would not meet him.
''Go Nathan.' That tiny voice sneaked into his ear and like an energy booster, his adrenaline got full to the brim, running into every corner of his bones. His speed multiplied and soon caught up with the first one, left him behind and finally, won the race.
'Yes!' screams and claps filled the air, the whole school jubilating. Some from other schools too clapped. The fact that he was the one who was behind before yet still got the first position already amaze everybody. All other athletes fall to the ground, wanting to catch their breathe, but he was standing there, looking around for this one person, then his gaze fell on the figure that was running toward him, a wide smile on her face.
Not minding if there were lots of people standing out there, not minding if there are lots of people staring at them, he stretched out his arms while she fell into his embrace. He lifted her up, her legs no more touching the ground, and then he spins her around.
