'n.. you … I …. How?' she stammered, not knowing what to say, but instead, he spread out his arms, gesturing for a hug while she quickly ran forward then fall into his embrace.
The whole time seems to have a pause, as if the whole world has stop so as to honor their romance. Head tilts as everybody gaze at the duo, nearly crashing into each other.
'I miss you'. She said, her hold on him getting tighter.
Nathan smiled and his hand wrap around her back. 'I miss you too.' He replied, their heart drumming rhythmically.
Time flew by without them realizing, still in the embrace of each other. She finally pulled out of the hug and glare at his face, a smile on her face.
'when… when did you get here? Why can't you tell me that you are coming?' She asked.
'I am now your mother son-in-law, yes or yes?' he asked instead, raising his brow.
'Aish, how ridiculous. I don't know you're coming or else I wouldn't have say that. Why don't you inform me before coming?' she pouted as she asked, pulling the long woolen tuxedo he is wearing.
'wanna make it a surprise and thank god, it worked.' Hew replied while she smiled and slap his chest playfully but pause when something struck her mind.
'do you have any occasion here? Are you staying overnight? You can't come and return today, your place is so far so where would you stay? Do you have any relatives here or how would you manage?' she attacked with millions of questions with her lips still pouted.
'i… I would lodge at a hotel, just as simple as that.' He said, raising his shoulders as though what he mentioned is the simplest thing on earth.
'oh.' She sighed and smiled slightly.
'so… we would see each other again before the end of the vacation?' she asked while he nodded positively.
'let's go get lunch together, I was going before your call and appearance disturb me.' She said and he nodded, the duo chatting as they walk down the street.
'Is the flower for me?' she asked.
'yes'. He replied, stretching out his hands while amethyst accepted it, a smile on her face as she sniffs it in.
'smell nice.' She complimented, holding Nathan's hand as they walk to the nearest restaurant.
*minutes later*
'bye'. Amethyst waved which make Nathan who was already leaving turn back to look at her.
'common, your lunch time is over, wont want silly workers bully you because you're late.' He said and smiled while amethyst turn back and walk away, a permanent smile on her face.
Seeing him alone lift the burden off her shoulder. At least she would be seeing him often.
Nathan turn back then walk away, scrolling down his phone but pause as soon as a call came in, the word "MOTHER" inscribed boldly on the caller ID.
He hesitated for a while before picking up the call and raise the phone to his ear.
'hey son, how is your trip, are you in Mexico already?' she asked.
'yes.' He replied, his voice bearing no emotion as he continue walking, not realizing that he is already crossing the road and a huge truck which was coming rammed him over, sending his body flying while his phone dropped.
Blood drip down his body as it land on the other edge of the road, his mind and brain going blank. He lost his consciousness.

*A month later*
Amethyst's gaze wander around as all student walk up and down. The rumor of Nathan having an accident has already spread through the school and he hadn't woken up. Piper had already make a new friend and would not talk to her while Orests would not let a day pass without disturbing her.
'I told you, you are my lady, you are mine. That bastard tried to steal you but now he is dead, gone.' He would always mumble to her everyday, provoking her life that she now had to hide like before but there's no Nathan to save her.
She cant go to the hospital to check on him, his mother already told her not to show up in front of her ever again. If she tried to call him, that annoying mother would be the one to answer it. He is still unconscious anyways.
Her hands brush through the flowers as she walk through the garden, her face cold, aloof and lost, as if her soul had been drained off.
'now that your psycho is not here, are you still gonna reject me baby?' Orests annoying voice suddenly came which make her pause and she looked up only to see Orests and his friends standing steps away.
She took a step to the back, wanting to run away but before she could make another move, Orests close the gap between them and grab her hand, an annoying sneer creeping onto his lips.
'from the beginning, you could have say yes to me then you would have save yourself this heartbreak. You would have been mine and I would have taken care of you, but look at what you've turn yourself into now, a psychopath like he was. You are really weird amethyst but… for the love Orests Akuma has for you, he would still accept you. You're beautiful anyways.' He said, his hands trailing amethyst's cheek but amethyst brow creased, she raise her hand and push him away, her eyes damn angry.
'don't you dare touch me!' she yelled, her eyes speaking fire.
Orests brow knitted angrily that he didn't know when his hand raise up and like a hot thunder, it strikes amethyst cheek.
'bastard! Do you have any psychopath to save you now?' he confronted, walking toward her like a predator setting for his prey.
Amethyst step back and her eyes watered, both fear and anger in them. She wanted to hit him, but yet she's scared, afraid of what he might do in return. She continue to walk backwards till she stump onto something and fell, having nowhere to run to while Orests continue to walk toward her. He bend his back to touch her face but before he could, his friends pull him to the back.
'what the hell?!' he yelled, turning back to look at adder who had just pull him to the back.
'look… let's run… I' he stammered, pointing at somewhere. Orests raise his head to look at what he is pointing at only to see Nathan standing there, coldly while gazing at them. Nothing in him has changed except of his hair color which is gray now, not silver.
Without waiting a blink of eye, they turn back and ran away, not turning to look at the back.
Amethyst's brow creased as she stood up, not knowing the reason why they run away like that. She turn back and look at where adder point at only to see the outstanding figure gazing at her.
'N… Nathan' she stammered, her eyes glimmering with tears. Her body move swiftly, her leg carrying her body and before she could knew it, her body jammed with his.
'I miss you' she said, hugging him tightly.
'I'm glad that you're back.' She added.
