NARA
I HAD THE CHANCE, didn't I?
The perfect opportunity to take him out was right there but I made the choice not to take it. Despite my anger and itching ache to end his life, I chose to be rational.
Because rationality was the only thing that would guarantee my people's freedom in the long run and my parents safety.
Besides, Kaedyr wasn't stupid either. There was no way he wouldn't have suspected the likelihood of me attacking him as soon as the collar came off my neck. His eyes were on me the entire time so he would've seen it coming and I trust he wouldn't have sat back and just let me take his life.
He would've fought back, that would've prolonged the entire ordeal. My people would've been endangered immediately and my parents life ended. Did it feel good to imagine my talons sinking into his throat? Yes it felt good to picture that. But I had promised him my blade and not my talons so I'll wait until that chance arises.
