"Why didn't you do it?" Kaedyr asked out of nowhere.
The walk from the parliament hall back to the main palace was a stretchy one and we were almost halfway when he suddenly piped up.
"Do what?" I had an idea of what he was asking but still I needed him to be clear with his words.
"You had the chance. Your collar was off. No one would've seen it coming. You could've taken me out and gotten your revenge."
I stopped to stare at him and that had him coming to a halt. He raised his brow, tilting his head as I kept staring at him. "Are you asking out of curiosity or surprise?" I questioned. The manipulative Lycan I know would've figured out already why I didn't take the chance, so what was he asking me this for?
"It could be a bit of both." He shrugged, as if to say he didn't care if I answered him or not.
"Hmmm, oh well I don't know." I shrugged too. If we're going to play the game of being vague and nonchalant, I am up to for it.
