Casper and Raina broke apart after seconds of staring into each other's eyes.It all felt like they were in a movie just then.Raina's eyes widened as she realized something crucial.
"Why did you remove your hoodie cape? What if someone took a picture?"
"Are you worrying about me right now?" A small smile hung on the corner of Casper's lips.
"I am worried about myself! That is what I meant!" They were no longer in the hidden corner Casper was sitting.The accident happened at the glass side.There was no one in the shop.Raina was mad before,but now, she was glad about it.Old Mrs Lizzy was nowhere in sight!.Raina quickly realized that the sneaky old woman purposefully disappeared, thinking that Casper was her boyfriend.But her worry now,was if Casper had reporters tailing him for a scoop.It was farfetched but it was a valid worry as the most juiciest entertainment gossip is a dating rumor.Though she was wearing a face mask,her hair was exposed and obsessive fangirls are better detectives than the FBI.
"I wouldn't deny it if a dating rumor about me were to surface." Said Casper. Only if it is you.He added inwardly.
"That is you who is already a big star.Not someone like me who is just beginning."
Raina bent down to pick the glass shards and winced when her finger was pierced by a sharp glass edge.Casper bent down also.
"You really need to practice carefulness." Casper said with a snort as he began picking the broken glasses. "Leave it.I will do it!" Raina made to pick also but immediately stopped when he told her to either let him do it or kiss him.Raina immediately left the glass pieces to him and ran into the kitchen.
Casper pulled out his phone from his pocket when he got a notification.His face paled when he saw message.He instantly wore his sunglasses and ran out of the coffee shop to where he had parked his car and drove off speedily.
Raina came back out after she rubbed ointment on her wound and found only the broken glasses but there was no sign of Casper.Had he left? She whipped out her phone to type him a WeChat message but stopped herself.She would see him tonight at the premiere anyway.
"Has he gone?" Mrs Lizzy said as she came out from where she had hidden.Raina turned to look at the old woman with a frown. "Why did you chase away the customers and why did you leave me alone with him? What if he had been a creep?" Raina questioned.
"He was so handsome! It's not everyday you get to meet a handsome celebrity." Mrs Lizzy said dreamingly and gushed.She was still a sucker for handsome guys despite her age.
"He is the guy you acted with right?"
"Yep" Raina replied as she picked the last piece of shattered glass.
"He is really into you.No one would give out a cheque of ten thousand dollars just to meet someone."
Raina froze at what Mrs Lizzy said. "Ten thousand dollars?"
Mrs Lizzy's expression turned sour.She had let her tongue slip.He had told her not to say anything.She folded in her lips but Raina did not plan to let it go. "What do you mean,granny? Did he pay you that?" Yes.She called Mrs Lizzy granny.The woman was closer and kinder to her than her own parents.
"Y....es....But you have to pretend you don't know okay? He told me not to tell you." Mrs Lizzy said in a pleading voice.
"Besides,no one rejects money.I might be old,but there are so many things I love and I need money to buy all of them." Mrs Lizzy made puppy eyes as she spoke.
