Chapter 6 - 98

After a few days of relaxation, Arthur prepared to visit Paris. Fleur Delacour's family was from Paris.

Apart from those hiding in isolated places, most French Wizards were gathered either near Beauxbatons Academy of Magic in the Pyrenees or near the Ministry of Magic in Paris.

Fleur's father currently held a position at the Ministry of Magic. Not only that, but the Delacour family had been rooted in the French Ministry of Magic for over a hundred years, making them an influential family in France.

As Arthur was leaving for Paris, Antoine repeatedly cautioned him: "You must be careful. There are quite a few Vampires in Paris now, and Werewolves have also arrived. Being bitten by them is no small matter."

"Don't worry, Antoine. Baru is with me. If we encounter any danger, he will take me away immediately. Besides, I'm going directly to Fleur's house this time, so nothing will happen."

After leaving Woodcroft, Arthur boarded the magictrain from Woodcroft to Paris.

It was similar to the Hogwarts Express, and Arthurcould see the beautiful scenery along the way.

On the way, he also overheard other French Wizards discussing the Vampires and Werewolves.

The impact of the recent Vampire situation was clearly significant. Just as the British Wizarding World had previously discussed Harry the Savior attending school, the French Wizarding World's newspapers had also been discussing these recent "uninvited guests" for the past few days.

During the days Arthur rested, Werewolves, who had not appeared before, also emerged in Paris.

Some fighting Werewolves and Vampires were apprehended by the Ministry of Magic. From them, Wizards learned the reason for their recent gathering in Paris.

And for some unknown reason, this news was published in major French newspapers.

There was a special Muggle who possessed both Werewolf and Vampire bloodlines. And the Werewolves and Vampires were looking for him.

After this news spread, even some Wizards became interested in this Muggle.

If Werewolf and Vampire bloodlines could merge, then what about other magical creatures? And going a step further, could a Wizard's bloodline also merge?

Thus, Paris became thoroughly lively these past few days.

Every evening, Vampires and Werewolves began to roam the city, with Aurors following behind them, apprehending them.

However, the number of Vampires and Werewolves was simply too large. Some Wizards had already suggested that all Werewolves and Vampires be expelled from Paris within the near future, and the city be unsealed once the matter was resolved.

After getting off the train, Arthur walked out of the Ministry of Magic and, after winding his way for more than ten minutes, arrived at the Delacour familyresidence.

There, he also saw Fleur, whom he hadn't seen in two years.

Like him, Fleur had also changed significantly in these two years. Unlike Arthur's simple increase in height, she, being three years older than Arthur, had already blossomed. She looked almost like a university student, still with a hint of youthfulness.

This gave Arthur the feeling that his 'electronic girlfriend' had finally grown up, although they hadn't formally established a relationship.

Fleur, with a quarter Veela heritage, had skin as white as snow. Her delicate face combined with her curvaceous figure exuded a captivating beauty, making her very noticeable in a crowd.

She inherited her grandmother's Veela bloodline; her hair, waist-length and shimmering with silver light, cascaded down her back like a waterfall. Her eyes were also emerald green, appearing like two bright gems in the sunlight, radiating an enchanting glow.

When they first met, there was still some awkwardness between them, but with Gabrielle, Fleur's younger sister, cracking jokes, they quickly returned to their old selves.

Gabrielle, like Fleur, possessed a quarter Veelabloodline. However, unlike Fleur, who leaned towards a more mature style, Gabrielle was more like a delicate little princess.

Friends who hadn't seen each other for a long time always had endless things to talk about, especially Fleur, who was now in her adolescence. If Arthurweren't still so young, the two of them would have slept together tonight.

Chatting and playing games like Wizard chess, time quickly passed until evening.

Mr. Delacour and Mrs. Delacour, who had been busy all day, also returned home. They both worked for the French Ministry of Magic, and these past few days, due to the Vampire situation, they were so busy they couldn't even eat lunch.

Upon seeing Arthur at home, smiles appeared on their tired faces.

In their eyes, Arthur was a genius, the perfect child from another family. And perhaps, in the future, Arthur would become their son-in-law.

Whether it was status, position, or talent, Arthur was a perfect match for their Fleur.

There was no better choice in all of France than Arthur. And what if Fleur chose a black man in Paris? Even with Veela blood, it might not work out.

During dinner that evening, Mr. Delacour proactively suggested, "Fleur, take Arthur out to explore Paristhese next few days, but be sure to come back in the evening. It's not safe at night right now."

Hearing about going out to play, Gabrielle excitedly said, "I want to go too!"

Mr. Delacour glanced at her, "Go where? Is summer vacation for you to play? Look at your sister and Arthur, they were always first in their class when they were in school. They can go out because their grades are good. When you get first place… at least pass math, then you can go out and play."

Gabrielle pouted, "Well, it's not that I don't want to get first place. I can't learn no matter how hard I try, what can I do?"

"Then study hard. If you don't understand anything at home, just ask Fleur."

"Hmph, you always have a reason for everything."

Gabrielle quickly finished her meal, jumped off the dining table, and ran back to her room.

Seeing this, Fleur said, "I'm done eating too. I'll go comfort her first."

After Fleur left, Arthur felt a bit awkward facing The Delacours alone. He quickly finished his meal and also left.

The next day, after The Delacours went to work, Gabrielle still got her wish and went out to play with Arthur and Fleur.

Mr. Delacour was usually quite strict with his education, and Gabrielle rarely had any pocket money to buy things.

But Arthur was someone who didn't lack money. Every time Arthur visited, he would buy her a pile of things. That's why she wanted to go out and play.

Eight-year-old Gabrielle, wearing a beautiful dress, held Arthur's hand with one hand and her sister Fleur's hand with the other, skipping and jumping as they walked outside.

As they walked, she suddenly said, "Arthur, you should write more letters to my sister in the future. She's always so happy when she receives your letters. You didn't use to write much, but you've written more this past year."

"No problem, I'll definitely write often from now on," Arthur replied to Gabrielle, but his eyes were on Fleur.

One reason he wrote fewer letters before was that his life was relatively uneventful; it was either studying magic or studying magic. He also didn't want Fleur to worry about things like Lord Voldemort or Professor Binns's magic.

The reason he wrote more recently was partly due to some influence from the mirror of erised, and perhaps also because his current body had started to develop.

As for later, he would absolutely not write more letters to Fleur because of her exposed fair thighs or her silver hair cascading over her shoulders. He was doing this entirely because of their childhood sweethearts' feelings, as fate had brought them together.
