Chapter 5 - 97

After registering with the Ministry of Magic, Arthurarrived at the French Ministry of Magic from Britain's Ministry of Magic.

The French Ministry of Magic was quite similar to the British one, just with a more diverse population.

As he walked into the Ministry of Magic's main hall, his uncle, Antoine François, was already waiting for him.

Antoine François was a tall man, around 30 years old, with tawny, slightly curly hair. His face was square, and his jaw was firm, making him look like someone not to be trifled with.

Upon seeing Arthur, he laughed and came forward to hug him, then put his arm around Arthur's shoulder and said, "You've finally arrived! You didn't come last year, and in two years, you've grown so tall."

As he spoke, he even measured their heights; Arthurcould already reach his chest.

"It has been a long time, Antoine. In a few more years, I might even be taller than you."

"That's true, children nowadays grow quite tall."

After leaving the Ministry of Magic, the two arrived in Woodcroft, which was France's Hogsmeade, the only village in all of France exclusively inhabited by Wizards.

Compared to Hogsmeade, Woodcroft was noticeably larger in area.

Although the number of native Wizards in France was almost the same as in Britain, Britain generally only had British Wizards, while France had Wizards from other countries in continental Europe, Africa, and other regions.

In terms of student scale, Beauxbatons Academy of Magic in France was the largest magic academy in Europe.

Therefore, Woodcroft, located next to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, naturally had a larger area.

The François Family, to which Antoine Françoisbelonged, was located near Woodcroft, which was for the convenience of their current business.

After chatting for a while at the François Familyresidence, Antoine said somewhat seriously, "Arthur, don't go too far these days, especially be careful in Paris."

"What's wrong, Antoine? Has the situation in Eastern Europe escalated?"

"Exactly, it's them. For some reason, many Vampires have flooded into Paris these past few days. But they haven't violated Ministry of Magic regulations, so the Aurors can only increase their surveillance."

Antoine, like Arthur, believed in Wizard supremacy. However, Antoine's reason was purely because he felt that Wizard bloodlines were more precious than those of other magical creatures, while Arthur felt that other magical creatures simply lacked the power.

Even if they were legally equal, in reality, if Wizards wanted to do something, other magical creatures had no ability to resist.

Especially in large-scale group battles, Wizards could cooperate with each other, and there were even specialized collective spells that produced an effect greater than 1+1>2. But other magical creatures in group battles essentially fought individually, and often their effectiveness didn't even reach 1+1=2.

Antoine was very annoyed by those magical creatures, especially Werewolves and Vampires.

In business, these two factions were second only to Wizards in power. Sometimes, for rare items, he even had to be extorted by these two forces.

Arthur asked, "Are there only Vampires? Haven't their arch-enemies, the Werewolves, made a move?"

Generally, as arch-enemies, if one side dispatched personnel, the other side, even if unaware of what was happening, would send a few people to investigate.

Antoine thought for a moment and said with some surprise, "Huh, I haven't heard any news about Werewolves recently. That's truly strange, have their noses gone bad?"

"It seems there's another force involved. The Ministries of magic of various countries shouldn't do this, especially the French Ministry of Magic."

"Then perhaps it's the Eye of Truth?" Antoineguessed, "They've been causing a lot of trouble recently, and many Wizards here in France have been affected by them."

Arthur asked in surprise, "Hasn't the French Ministry of Magic banned them?"

Antoine shook his head, somewhat helplessly, "There are just too many of them, you can't catch them all. It's like Grindelwald's Wizarding Supremacist Partybefore; many Wizards are self-motivated, not just swayed. You also know that in recent years, Mugglepower has been growing stronger and stronger. The Second World War was already enough to shock the Wizarding World.

Not long ago, a battle in the Muggle world called the 'Gulf War' made many Wizards want to change the current situation between the Wizarding World and the Muggle world. Many Wizards have found that if there were a war with Muggles, the Wizards' chances of winning are getting lower and lower."

"What about you? What do you think?" Arthur asked.

Antoine hesitated but still said, "Actually, I'm like many others; in this situation, it's best to strike first, control some high-ranking Muggles, and let Wizards lead this world. I've heard, only heard, that some countries in the Muggle world have already developed technologies to counter our magic. If this is true, considering the Muggles' massive population, the Wizards' situation would indeed become difficult."

After speaking, he also asked, "Arthur, what do you think?"

Regarding this matter, Arthur was indeed a bit lost.

As an ordinary person in his previous life and a Wizard in this one, his feelings were still somewhat complex.

He had also thought a lot, such as having the small number of Wizards act as a kind of "royalty" or "super-powered individuals," after all, Wizards can be born among Muggles, and Wizards can also give birth to Squibs.

Squibs are actually quite similar to current Muggles, just more knowledgeable about magic-related things. If the barrier between the two worlds truly disappears in the future, then Squibs will truly become Muggles, at most, the descendants of Squibs might have a slightly higher chance of producing Wizards.

Before completely breaking down the barrier between the two worlds, one could also first give Muggles a heads-up through novels, films, and other works, spreading it slowly, so as not to cause too much panic.

There would even be many Muggles who would exceptionally hope their descendants would be Wizards.

This was Arthur's current idea, but there were too many uncertain factors. Some high-ranking Muggles would not be willing to do this, and some radicals wanted to kill all Wizards.

Those people might always live in some underground base, always on guard against Wizards.

Additionally, other creatures in the Wizarding Worldwere also a big problem. What if Muggles, after learning about creatures like Vampires and Werewolves that can infect them, lead to a proliferation of Vampires and Werewolves?

There were many such problems, and Arthur couldn't figure them out.

Anyway, for now, the tall ones would bear the brunt, and as a Little Wizard in the Wizarding World, he didn't have much say.

He sighed and said, "I don't know either, but no matter what, at least we shouldn't die. The worst outcome is to live in seclusion on an island."

Antoine raised his glass and took a big gulp of wine, "Exactly, you're right. When the time comes, we'll just hide, and the Muggles won't find us. Then we can deal with them one country at a time."

For the next few days, Arthur stayed with Antoine, exploring the area.

It must be said that, compared to the somewhat isolated British Wizarding World, the French Wizarding World had many more interesting things. The shops in the Wizard village were full of curious items he had never seen in Britain.
