Chapter 10 - 102

Arthur stood at the front of the room, holding the Unicorn horn wand in his left hand, its tip adorned with a shining ruby.

As he crushed the crimson gem fragment in his right hand, a powerful surge of magic passed through his body, gradually converging on the gem at the tip of his wand.

He concentrated, beginning to chant a spell. With his incantation, the tip of the wand began to glow with a blue-white light. The light grew brighter and brighter, like a brilliant star rising in the darkness of midnight.

Even the surrounding air began to stir, a phenomenon caused by the convergence of immense magic.

Fleur, standing behind Arthur, was stunned.

She hadn't realized that her younger brother, three years her junior, had grown to such an extent. Such immense magic, even if Arthur wielded it through a magical artifact like the ruby, was still more powerful than any magic she had seen any Professor use at school.

Suddenly, a bolt of lightning was released from the light at the wand's tip, tearing through the dark night sky. This lightning, like a silver stream, converged before Arthur to form a Unicorn with huge wings.

The Unicorn was pure white, with a faint blue glow, and shimmered with crystalline light all over its body. White electrical currents emanated from its horn, coiling around its body, making crackling sounds.

Its wings, spread wide, were about ten meters across, almost bursting through the room. Each feather was lifelike, and the lightning attached to them made them as sharp as blades; even a slight flick caused countless scratches on the room's walls.

After summoning the Soul Guardian, Arthur used half of his remaining magic to transform some nearby objects into three massive shields, guarding them.

The other half was reserved for the hidden enemy.

Although his Transfiguration wasn't perfect, he had a lot of magic now. The more magic he poured in, the better the shield's defense would be.

Transfiguration is very useful in most situations, much better than most defensive Charms. This is because defensive Charms usually only defend against magical attacks, and are not very effective against physical attacks.

This is also why Transfiguration holds the same status as Charms. Powerful Wizards like Dumbledoreand McGonagall are proficient in Transfiguration.

Now, when Arthur faced physical attacks from Vampires, the shields conjured by Transfigurationwould be even more useful.

After summoning the Soul Guardian, Arthur returned to Fleur's side, shielding Gabrielle behind them, and asked with a smile, "How about it? Do you have confidence in me defeating a Vampire now?"

"Hmph! Why didn't you say so earlier? How was I supposed to know you were so amazing?" Fleur's face was flushed. When Arthur summoned that Unicorn, she felt like she had questioned a Professor in class and then been proven wrong.

"I'm showing you directly, aren't I?"

"Your letter didn't say anything about it. You only said you were top of your year and learning Alchemy, and I thought you were about the same as me."

Then she hugged Arthur from behind and whispered, "I know you must have encountered some things before. Now that I've grown up, you don't have to keep things to yourself. Even if I can't help you, I can be someone you can talk to."

Arthur tilted his head back, patted Fleur's hand, "I know, I promise I will from now on."

Girls develop faster at this age, and he could only touch her fullness now.

Fleur's face was a little red, but she didn't leave. Arthur's intimacy made her feel a little shy and a little excited. This year, two of her roommates had stayed out all weekend.

Gabrielle, behind the two, was now looking at the Unicorn with shining eyes.

She didn't know how strong Vampires were, but she knew how to read the atmosphere. Her sister had clearly been very nervous before, but now she was much more relaxed, even having time for romantic talk.

She also felt that it might be inappropriate for her to interrupt now, but her curiosity about the Unicorn was simply too hard to control.

So Gabrielle tugged on Arthur's hand and asked curiously, "Arthur, what kind of magic is this? Can you teach it to me later? I want a Unicorn like that too."

The first thing she saw when she looked up wasn't Arthur, but Fleur looking at her with a strange gaze, which made her shiver and release Arthur's hand.

Arthur, however, didn't notice this scene. He bent down slightly and stroked Gabrielle's head, as if petting a kitten, "No problem, I'll teach you this magiclater. But whether you can summon a Unicorn is another matter."

Gabrielle nodded quickly.

Soon after, the sounds from the staircase grew louder and louder; clearly, the Vampires had all caught up.

Arthur and Fleur immediately pulled Gabrielle to the very back, with the three shields forming a 'pin' character, protecting the trio.

Then, the door was kicked open, and a few Vampires were about to enter when they were startled by the Unicorn, which was flashing with 'bling-bling' light, inside the room.

If one were to ask what natural enemies Vampires had besides Wizards, Unicorns would be one of them. They couldn't kill them, nor could they drink their blood.

Even Wizards dared not drink Unicorn blood, let alone Vampires. Even if they starved to death or jumped from a thousand-meter-high cliff, they wouldn't drink a drop of Unicorn blood.

Kleine, who was behind the Vampires, was also startled at first, but then he saw that this Unicorn had a pair of large wings and its figure was somewhat ethereal, so he understood that this was some kind of Wizard's magic.

So he once again gave the Vampires standing at the front a few big slaps and cursed, "A bunch of idiots, this is the magic these Little Wizards are using! When have you ever seen a Unicorn with wings?"

Then Kleine stepped to the front, sized up Arthur and the other two, pointed at the Unicorn, and said, "You think this thing can curse so many Vampires? You're really overestimating yourselves. But you all look quite good; let me turn the three of you. Don't worry, I'll take my time."

Looking at this inexplicable Vampire, Arthur had no wasted words. He cared about the person hiding in the dark who was harming him, not these Vampires. Otherwise, he would have gone down to kill them himself long ago; how could he be waiting here like this?

He waved his wand, and the Unicorn began to move.

The Vampires' reactions were not slow. As the Unicorn moved, some directly attacked the Unicorn, while others, along with Kleine, charged towards Arthur and the other two.

However, there was a reason why Wizards had been able to suppress Vampires since their inception.

With Arthur prepared, this group of Vampires was practically coming to their deaths.

Kleine and several other Vampires were all sent flying by a shield, the immense force making them feel as if they had been hit by a speeding truck.

Except for Kleine, the other Vampires had all their bones broken and lay on the ground unable to move. Kleine was also embedded in the wall, unable to move for a while.

As for the Vampires who attacked the Unicorn, it was no different from suicide. Upon contact with the Unicorn, their bodies began to tremble incessantly, then emitted a fragrant scent.

The Unicorn Soul Guardian, having received Arthur's command, clearly wouldn't let those Vampires escape.

Arthur's wand glowed on its own; Charlotte, the remnant soul of the Unicorn inside, began to control the Soul Guardian outside, actively starting a ruthless slaughter of those Vampires.

After a few stomps, almost all the Vampires were 'cooked,' and the air was filled with the smell of barbecue.

Gabrielle, hiding at the very back, sniffed and licked her moist lips.

Only the last two Vampires escaped with Michael, and then there was Kleine on the wall.

At this moment, Kleine, this high-ranking Vampire, was stunned. He looked at Arthur and said tremblingly, "You are a devil, no, no, no, you can't kill me?"

Arthur became a little interested, "Can't kill you? Why? Do you have some treasure?"

The Unicorn also returned at this time, lowering its head and pointing its long horn at him.

Kleine swallowed hard. Having just been hit, he immediately sobered up. He didn't know what madness had possessed him to come up and trouble a Wizard.

However, seeing that he had a chance to live, he quickly said, "Yes, I have treasure. Many Galleons, at least tens of thousands. And, and I'm from the Vampire Council. Besides the three elders, my power is the greatest. Killing me won't do you any good."

Arthur's face instantly darkened, his tone filled with the anger of being humiliated, "Ten thousand Galleons? You're using that to test me? Which Wizardcan't withstand such a test? The Galleons in my vault are piled up into several small mountains; I don't even know what use such things are!

And, just because you're a high-ranking Vampiremeans I can't kill you? Then why didn't you think I was a Wizard before you came up? Can't you tell who the boss of the magical world is? And you're a high-ranking Vampire like that? No wonder you can't even beat those Werewolves who were driven to Nordic countries."
