Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: An Abstract Ability Worth Twenty Billion Points

[Lumine: Guys, you won't believe this—I just checked the chat group features and noticed there's suddenly an Upload Function!]

The lively chat instantly went silent.

Mo Yucheng blinked in surprise.

Could it be that this upload function didn't exist before, and only appeared because the three of them had joined?

A moment later, Stelle broke the silence.

[Ding! Member Stelle has uploaded Galaxy Baseball Bat Technique and received 7,500 points!]

[Stelle: Tested it myself—don't worry, the ability doesn't disappear after uploading. The chat group just makes a copy. But once uploaded, you can't upload the same ability again.]

[Rina: What the hell? Your bat technique is worth 7,500 points?!]

Seven thousand five hundred! That was insane! They'd have to sign in every single day for ages to reach that number.

Was that "bat technique" even a serious martial art?

[Stelle: What do you know? My bat technique has been refined since birth, in countless battles against strong foes!]

[Stelle: It bonks heads, pokes butts, smashes Destruction soldiers, and beats up Doomsday Beasts. Even an Aeon of Destruction would give me a thumbs-up!]

[Ding! Member Lumine has uploaded Basic Swordsmanship and received 1,000 points.]

[Lumine: The gap is way too big… I can't compare.]

Both were just normal attack skills, but the difference was over six thousand points. Was Stelle secretly the strongest member of the group?

[Rina: Damn it, I'm jealous of you powerful types.]

Meanwhile, Mo Yucheng tapped on the upload function, curious about how much his two "abstract" abilities were worth.

The moment he saw the string of zeroes, his jaw dropped.

"One, ten, hundred, thousand, ten thousand, hundred thousand… one… one billion?!"

He rubbed his eyes. Counted again.

No mistake—

It really was one billion points.

One ability worth a hundred billion? Then the two together… two hundred billion!

"This is way too crazy…"

But the more he thought about it, the more sense it made.

After all, both of his skills ignored power levels entirely.

Even an Immortal Emperor would be forced to obey.

Especially 100% Empty-Handed sword Catch.

Ten seconds of forced control might sound short, but once he grew stronger, ten seconds was more than enough to kill any enemy.

"Chat group, upload both abilities!" Mo Yucheng didn't hesitate for a second.

Anyway, the prices were so outrageous that no one could ever hope to save up enough points to buy them. He wasn't worried about anyone using his own powers against him.

[Ding! Member Mo Yucheng has uploaded 100% Empty-Handed sword Catch and received 100,000,000,000 points!]

[Ding! Member Mo Yucheng has uploaded You Came Here to Take a Dump, Didn't You? and received 100,000,000,000 points!]

The girls, who had just been casually chatting, exploded the moment they saw the notifications.

[Stelle: H…how much?!]

[Lumine: One hundred billion! Am I dreaming?]

[Rina: Jealousy is twisting my face right now!]

[Kiana: I just looked at the descriptions. They're kinda broken—especially that second one.]

[Shinobu Kocho: True. But undeniably, both abilities are terrifyingly powerful.]

Even Shinobu, who had been quiet all this time, finally spoke up.

[Lumine: Yeah, if I had these two abilities, what Abyss monsters could scare me? Kneel before me! Crap your pants before me!]

[Stelle: Bro, don't forget us when you get rich. No red packet?]

[Mo Yucheng: Hahaha, of course! I'll send one!]

In high spirits, Mo Yucheng was feeling generous.

With a wave of his hand, he sent out red envelopes worth a million points each to every member.

The girls were overjoyed.

A fat payday, indeed.

[Mo Yucheng: Family, upload all your abilities. I'm buying everything!]

[Stelle: Just for that red packet, I won't hold back!]

[Lumine: Same here!]

[Ding! Member Stelle has uploaded Star Core and received 1,000,000 points!]

[Ding! Member Stelle has uploaded Path Power and received…]

[Ding! Member Lumine has uploaded Elemental Powers and received…]

[Ding! Member Shinobu Kocho has uploaded…]

[Ding! Member Kiana has uploaded…]

Notification after notification flooded the screen.

[Rina: Ugh… now I feel awkward.]

She was the only one who hadn't uploaded anything.

She was just an ordinary girl—she had no powers to upload.

[Mo Yucheng: Don't worry about it.]

[Kiana: Huh? Why does my ability panel say I have the Herrscher of the Void Core?]

At this moment, the bug who had not yet become the Herrscher of the End felt a splitting headache. She definitely didn't remember having that.

Hearing this, Mo Yucheng immediately guessed what part of the story she was currently in.

[Mo Yucheng: Doesn't matter. As long as it gives points, who cares?]

[Kiana: …Fair enough.]

[Ding! Member Kiana has uploaded Herrscher of the Void Core and received 500,000 points!]

A minute later, the girls had basically uploaded everything they had.

"Chat group, buy all the uploaded abilities!"

[Purchase successful! Would you like to fuse the abilities?]

"Fuse them all!"

[Warning: The sheer number and energy of the abilities are too overwhelming for your body to withstand. Physical modification recommended.]

"How do I modify my body?"

[For only one million points, the system will modify your body during the fusion process.]

"Then what are we waiting for? Do it!"

One million was nothing to him now.

Before he could even react, a beam of light descended on him. His whole body spasmed violently as if electrocuted.

And then he blacked out.

Ah, youth… collapse and sleep anywhere.

The light faded as quickly as it came.

No one noticed.

Mo Yucheng lay unconscious on the street.

Just then, a black sedan drove past.

From the back seat, a young woman spotted his body.

"Driver, stop the car!"

The driver braked at once, pulling smoothly to the roadside.

"What's wrong, miss?"

He glanced in the rearview mirror.

But the young woman didn't reply. She quickly opened the door and stepped out.

The driver followed immediately.

The two of them hurried to Mo Yucheng's side.

The driver knelt down and placed a finger under his nose.

"Miss, he's breathing rapidly, face pale, expression strained. Looks like he collapsed from some kind of illness."

The driver quickly assessed.

The woman said, "Carry him to the car. We're taking him to the hospital."

"Yes, miss!"

Nobody knew how much time passed.

Mo Yucheng slowly opened his eyes.

What he saw was an unfamiliar white ceiling.

The smell of disinfectant filled the air.

"Wait… is this a hospital?"

He sat up and looked around. Sure enough, he was in a hospital ward.

[Correct.]

The system's voice echoed in his mind.

So it wasn't a dream after all.

More importantly—his body felt brimming with strength.

"System, how long was I out?"

[About two days.]

"Two days? That long?"

He honestly couldn't tell. It felt like he'd only napped for a bit.

"By the way, who brought me here?"

[A young woman and her driver.]

"You don't know their identities?"

He had wanted to thank them properly.

If not for them, lying unconscious on the street for two days could've ended badly.

[Unclear.]

"I see…"

Forget it. If fate allowed, he would thank them someday.
