Mona Barred her teeth at the drones and mini ships, her claws digging into the ground. Juno covered her ears and Mona opened her mouth, the inside of it beginning to twist and turn, opening up making her mouth extend wider and wider. Dex, who was on the other end of the battle, was the one doing this. he had activated Mona's attack mode through his computer system, but now it was time for him to get to work himself.
Mona let of a large energy pulse towards the drones on the right, sending a few flying back into each other, causing them to explode on impact. then, she retracted her claws from out of the ground and Mona was off towards the right. climbing up the piles of trash and jumping on to the mini ships, taking them out by sinking her claws into the engines and shooting others with red beams of energy.
inside the trash piles, many cameras were hidden, which was how Dex could see everything that was going on. placing his hands on the console, he closed his eyes as every vein and nerve in his body began to turn blue. sparks of electricity flowing and connecting with each other. instead of shocking all of his cells however, they began to flow towards his hands, opening his eyes, they were now a pure blue, he couldn't see anything going on around him, he currently was not in his body. where he was, is what he liked to call "Code space".
he wasn't able to just build things out of thin air unfortunately, but he could build a code that would do that. in code space, he had the knowledge of almost every form of code, however, not all. he was known as a "Nerohacker", which people often got confused with a "Nano phantom". a Nerohacker has to obtain information on a form of code to be able to use it. once a form of code is obtained, it can instantly be applied. however, there are mastery levels that make the coding process faster, and success rates, plus many other risks that made being a Nerohacker not so amazing to Nerohackers themselves.
Dex began to open up hundreds of different windows, scrolling through them until he found the code he was looking for. Pressing it, he was sent to the code space he had created for the cameras. inside the code space, whatever code he put in, the outcome would show up on a screen for him, allowing him to see what needed adjustments. for example, right now he could see through all 8 of the cameras he had set up.
he began to type around on the floating screens in front of him, changing and shifting around the code in the code space, to switch the cameras to attack mode. the lenses of the cameras all opened up, and they began to fire up, immedietly shooting out blue lazers at the flying drones and mini ships. This left a few 10 or so drones and ships left, and it looked like juno could deal with them just fine as she ran forward to the left side.
she had a few attack ideas up her sleeve, it was just that she didn't know how to distribute her energy evenly or lower to amount of power in her attacks, which often hurt her directly.
picking up a rock off the ground, she concentrated on directing the energy of her attack into her hand. the nerves in her body began to once again glow white, electrical shocks from the nerves hitting her cells once more, causing her hair to turn white. and then, she threw the rock forward. This time, letting the energy from the pulse of her heart flow into the rock. This made its speed much faster, as white electrical energy wildly flared around it, zapping anything near it before exploding into tiny pieces, those tiny pieces zapping the nearby drones and mini ships.
this was enough to take down all the drones and five mini ships, the other 5 were taken out by Mona.
once the threat was over, Mona ran back over to Juno, turning back into a motorcycle. Juno got on the Mona, and pressed the gas and break at the same time, creating smoke as the secret escape door began to open. she drove inside it, and the door closed, just as the smoke from the motorcycle dissipated, this was to insure nobody seen where she went.
Juno, once in the tunnels, opened up the locator on mona. she also checked the gas to make sure that she was good as far as gas was concerned. noticing that Mona was at 34 percent battery, Juno sighed in relief. the last thing she needed was to have to walk back home and pull Mona along. but 35 power was more than enough to get back, if there weren't any distractions.
Juno began to drive through the tunnels, looking around. it was always so quiet down there, most people who lived in the tunnels were outlaws, voxgen's leader was part of the council and banned anyone with spirited gifts. which was ironic considering he had one of his own.
that was how many of what people like to call those with electrical powers, bionics, got their abilities. most got them at birth, usually because a family member was given the ability and it was now fused in their dna, or however it worked. Or, you were experimented on, to see what other abilities he could even give. However, some say he doesn't have just one ability, thats why he is so feared.
nobody knows what his other ability is.
Juno eventually, after a bit of a longer travel from tunnel to tunnel, reached the exit.
a ramp was build where the ground had collapsed in a long time ago. Some said this had to do with a big war between the bionics and the spirit gifted. but it wasn't fact.
Juno drove up the ramp and found herself on the outskirts of neon city. Driving over a gravel pathway she looked up at the sky. it was night and the stars and moon where out. it was calming really. she made her way through the simi-empty streets and waved at people walking by. eventually, she came up to a house that was built like it would fall over with just one storm.
Juno hoped off of Mona, and Mona shifted into her leopord form as Juno opened a the cellar door outside the destroyed building. Mona was first to go down into the cellar, then Juno followed after.
once they were down there, juno locked the cellar door, and walked over to Dex who was on his computer still. Likely putting the code for the cameras back to normal.
Juno took a seat on the couch and waited for Dex to finish whatever he was doing.
eventually, Dex eyes went back to normal, he had brown eyes, and dark brown hair that he had in twist. he at the moment, had his glasses off, but he often would wear them when he was working. "Alright, its good your back. you got the drive?" he questioned Juno as he spun to face her in his chair. Juno took the Synthex drive out of her pocket and handed it to him. "Yup, they didn't stand a chance. and hopefully this will help stablize my powers, if not, i don't know what will." Juno sighed.
Dex took the Synthex drive from her, turned around, and plugged it into is computer.
Synthex was originally created as an advanced learning virus, from all the information in the drive, it was meant for the purpose of unlimited storage of information and comprehension, but it also worked as though it were a newborn. it would have to be exposed to an environment and that would shape its personality, it will grow its own opinions, own morals. which meant it was in a way, the first nonthreatening virus created by Voxgen.
Dex opened the data log for the project, and began to read through it, "Observation of Synthex, it seems to be incompatible with all subjects. comprehension is a little slow. needs reevaluation." Dex continued to read out the rest of what was said in the files.
"I'm surprised it's not hostile, i would expect something like that from Voxgen, unless its defected considering it's their first experiment with this" Juno said, considering the possibilities. "Well, let me check the code first before we do this, I'll be quick!", Dex said, before going into his code space. a few minutes later, he came back out and gave Juno a thumbs up.
"The code seems to be fine, lets get to it!" he spoke.
Juno walked over to what looked like a tall clear container. she stepped inside the container and turned around, closing her eyes. Dex took the drive out of his computer and connected it to the port in the side of the tall clear container. Juno looked down at her arm, where a port was and she grabbed the plug from inside the container and plugged it into her arm.
Dex then pressed a button on the container, and it began to make sounds as it turned on. it took about half an hour until the transfer was complete. the inside of the container had steamed up so much nobody could see Juno.
eventually, the machine door opened and Juno stepped out of the container, waving her hands around curiously.
