By the time Levi woke up, he had already been bundled up by the muscular man from earlier. Through his drowsy state, he was still able to warn the man.
"Let go of me."
The man chuckled, a deep sound that vibrated through Levi's chest. "We tried waking you up, kid. You sure are trouble. Now hold still."
Levi struggled, but his limbs were heavy, still catching up to the rest of his body. "What are you talking about? It's just two hours."
The man grunted, hoisting Levi higher, intentionally shutting the sharp-tongued omega up.
A moment later, Levi felt the cool and shocking sensation of being set down roughly on the cold, tarred road.
He blinked, trying to clear the lingering haze. The man was already turning away into the shadows of the narrow alleyway when he grunted back.
"Hmmm," the sound got muffled by the distance and the early morning breeze, which was starting to stir.
Levi pushed himself up, rubbing his eyes. His legs trembled, threatening to give out with each step.
