Chapter 2 - First Star Card

Edward's hand clapped while muttering "Please be Michael Jordan, please be…"

[Ding! You have obtained John Wall (high school) star card ⭐⭐⭐ from Star Card drawing pool] 

"John Wall high school? huh… Sadly it is not Jordan, but John Wall is a decent player too." Edward says while convincing himself it is okay.

"Now I see the system's star card pool has a whole lot more cards than I thought."

The star card pool is a feature of this "Basketball Superstar Training" system. 

This system will refresh the card pool of star cards from time to time and use lottery tickets to draw single or more consecutive draws. This time there are Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and Michael Jordan high school cards as a grand prize.

'I missed the high school information before, haha… too much excitement is bad,' he thought, calming his inner mind. 

According to the system's introduction, the card pool contains cards of all professional-level and above from NBA star players from their youth to the present and even in the future.

The probability increased from one in billions to one in a hundred. 

A probability of one percent is very low, isn't it?

It's indeed very low, but it is better than nothing.

The star card pool is so realistic that Arthur feels a bit down.

This three-star star card doesn't improve him much, but he could feel his body getting better and more fit. 

And more importantly, after wearing this card, his explosive power and speed potential have really improved, breaking the 70-points stats threshold! 

"Does that mean I can continue to grow now? Nice!" Edward grinned.

After taking a look at the changing attribute panel, Edward feels sleepy again because it is now already past 9 pm.

He quickly got up from his bed, opened his wardrobe and changed his clothes to pajamas.

Edward saw a mirror and decided to fully check his new body.

Now he sees that he has natural dark black eyes, also natural wavy blonde hair not too short and not too long either. His 196 cm (6' 5") height, he slightly lifted his pajamas and saw a six–pack abs.

"Yeah, no kidding my looks is a gigachad, I am very satisfied and grateful for this," Edward said.

And more importantly he is still 18 years old.

The very next day, early in the morning Edward put on his training shirt with a white outer Nike sportswear jacket to help him not freeze, and a black Nike track pants with running Nike shoes. He walks out his dormitory room and greets his men's dormitory monitor.

'Time to check this body condition real time,' Edward thought.

It is very cold in Seattle at the end of January, and it is already early morning. The temperature in Seattle today is minus 2 degrees Celsius! 

"Cold weather, but it is not enough to stop me from training!"

Because Edward has already adapted with the weather in Seattle.

This running method is good for increasing his speed and stamina stats.

To improve attributes, correct training methods are absolute, except he gets another star card with a good stat.

Running for 1 hour can increase his speed and stamina by 1 point. This is the training method he can use to increase his speed from 72 to 73 and stamina from 56 to 57. 

It seems that this method can still be used again and again.

"But I am sure as my stats increase, the progress will definitely be harder... Increase my running pace or running time huh?... I can do that," Edward said. 

"Work hard will pay off!" is Edward's motto now. 

Now inside the school's training hall, he saw some fellow students doing bench press, squat, dead lift, and some more strength training.

Edward, feeling his running training is enough, was doing bench press with a dumbbell weight 20 kg in each left and right hand for 5 sets with 15 repetitions. 

Next, he does lateral raises with 10 kg in each hand for the same 5 sets with 15 repetitions. 

'True enough hard work pays off,' his strength stats increase by 2 points from 50 to 52.

And for Edward's final morning training he decided to do a traditional workout, which is 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, and 100 squats.

'So, solo-leveling training method can increase 2 strength stats too huh...' Edward thought.
