The cat's ears immediately flattened. "No."
"You don't even know what I'm going to ask."
"I can already tell from your face that it will be annoying."

Aira touched her cheeks. "How can my face look annoying?"
"Yours manages somehow."
Aira gasped. "You're really rude for someone who needs me to take care of him."
The cat froze. "I don't need you to take care of me."
Aira pointed at his muddy fur. "Then why are you still covered in dirt?"
The cat looked down. He became silent. Aira smiled triumphantly.
"I can clean myself."

The cat blinked.
"Yes."

Aira stared back. Neither said anything. Then the cat slowly lifted one paw.
