Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1

The night was as lovely as ever, with the sky full of stars and the moon, which is always silent, looming up and looking through the thick leaves of the willow tree, which was swaying softly as though in rythm with the song of the night breeze.

The moonlight softly filtered through the open window, revealing three stunning young women, one of whom was sleeping and the other two conversing or perhaps whispering in low tones as though a loud noise would wake the other, who might have been their mother.

"She's been sleeping for over a day," the younger one said, a frown on her beautiful face.

"Yes....indeed," hummed in response with a gentle voice the older one.

"When is she going to wake up then?" the first speaker asked.

The older one turned to her younger sister and patted her head, saying, "I don't know....." with a sigh that left her exhausted face. "We'll have to wait much longer and see."

"Alie, everything will be fine."

Alie replied with a muffled voice, sniffling, "you're just saying so."

She knows her big sister was just trying to comfort her. Twenty four hours!.... She had never heard of any dreamer dream for that long, much less a dream creator. Their mother was stuck or trapped in a dream, that, she was sure of and worst case being she was lost. Although that was impossible, her mother was the best dream creator she'd ever know so getting lost was impossible or maybe.

"If...if she doesn't wake up after another hour then..." looking her big sis, her voice hesitant although with a hint of determination.

"Then what, what are you going to do"

"I'll.... I'm going in, I'm gonna-"

"You're not!"

She was cut shut by her sister's fierce expression which she had never seen her sister with before, never. It was scaring her a little bit.

"What do you expect to do when you go in? How do you expect to save her if she's really trapped?"

"Answer me!" Annie yelled at Alie who was quiet and trembling.

"Mom's the best dream creator there is " her fierce expression gone now overwhelmed with sadness trembling slightly as she continues, " If she can't even find her way out.....how do you expect yourself...an amateur. Who hasn't even been able to create any dream before help her"

Stretching her hands forward, she holds Allie's face and sighed trying to calm herself down.

She could understand her little sister's worries and her feelings, but, that doesn't mean she'd let her put herself in harms way just to save their mother. Knowing their mother wouldn't want that too,and as the older one she has to correct Allie making sure she didn't do anything wrong.

"I know you mean well,but..... I can't and won't! Be letting you take such risks" she emphasized

Only God knew that , only.....if only..... she was a dream creator herself, then she'd do what Allie wants to do.

As they left the room together, Allie remained silent the entire time. "Come," she said, holding Allie's shoulders and guiding her to the door of their mother's room. "Let's get some sleep and give Mom some breathing space." She tried to smile in the hopes that Allie would understand.

Annie was unable to sleep despite the fact that it was getting late because she kept thinking about the possibility of Allie acting rashly and foolishly. She got up and grabbed the oil lamp from the bedside table with the intention of going to check on Allie and see if she was asleep. She could explain things to her younger sister if she was, but if not, they could have a conversation with her.

She rushes to their mother's room after failing to see Allie in her current room.

When Annie noticed her sister sitting on the makeshift bed, holding their mother's hand, she called out, "Allie-"

"Allie—"As she got closer to touching Allie's shoulder, she called out once more, but Allie turned slowly, her face white with tears in her eyes.

"I can't get into her dream, Annie."

"She's not even dreaming"
