DEXTER GRAY'S POV
Velmoria kingdom
That little witch escaped my wrath. That old seer...Agatha, she must have lied. She cannot be the chosen one, the royal family, that necklace she said held so much power. I must find Aurora and have it, even if I kill her myself and consume her power.
Oh goody, my brother. May you always rest in peace–King Richard. You knew that you would not bear a child who has powers. I made sure of it.
But her sudden speed, her glowing eye. I must get that power. If the lycan king were to come after me for the debt I owe him, I would be well equipped to protect myself.
As I sipped on my beer, quenching down the pain I felt from losing the throne that was supposed to be mine, the powers and high position—it all slipped out from my hands.
"Dear brother, rest in eternal peace… I hope you won't be upset when I take your daughter's prophesied powers."
As the whiskey burned through my throat, the door swung open. A tall man-like beast walked through.
A lycan.
"Lucien!" I chuckled nervously. "We meet again, old friend. Have a drink."
"I don't have time for your foolishness. The lycan king summons you. It's high time you repaid your debt," Lucien growled.
I shifted uncomfortably in my seat.
"Isn't it a bit too early? I need more time. You know the lycan king helped me dearly. I need more time," I pleaded frantically.
"Cut the bullshit. We all know your evil nature. We have your little Aurora!" Lucien growled, glaring at me with glowing eyes. One wrong move and he would shapeshift and rip my heart out.
Savage lycans.
"Oh my goodness, please don't hurt my poor Aurora. She's all I have left." I faked some sobs.
"Cut the crap, Dexter. We know you don't really care—but her power!" Lucien grabbed my arm, twisting it and shoving his dagger up my throat. Blood dripped as he pressed harder.
"I will repay the debt. I will come with the item at once," I said.
Lucien let go of his grip on me and vanished. For a large lycan, he was good at what he does.
I ran straight to the king—my friend—King Kael Knight.
He sat on the throne as if it truthfully belonged to him.
Such a bastard.
"My Lord, a word please," I said, taking a seat next to him.
He glared at me with a cold stare. I couldn't recognize this side of him. Weren't we together just two hours ago?
"You are supposed to bow before you speak to your king!" Kael snapped.
I got startled, left the seat, and bowed as he instructed. I knew better than to disobey him. He had one big, powerful wolf in the entire kingdom.
"What brings you here, peasant?" he asked.
His words shot daggers right through my heart, but I needed his help.
"The lycan king has my niece, Aurora. Remember our deal? I must pay my debts. I need your help," I pleaded.
"Do I owe you any favors, Dexter? Let me remind you—I was never there when you were almost dying and the lycan king stepped in to save your stupid ass," Kael growled. His gaze was nonchalant.
One of the royal guards snickered, and I shot him a deadly stare before he shifted uncomfortably and swallowed hard.
I wasn't one to mess with.
"Kael—"
"It's your highness!" he snapped.
"Your highness, my niece will be killed by those savages. She is all I have left."
I didn't really care about her. I wanted what that old witch prophesied about her tonight—her supposed powers. I was the only one with this truth. I had to act fast under this greedy king's nose.
"That's your problem, Dexter. Guards, drag him out of my sight," King Kael ordered.
The guards held both my arms and started dragging me out like I was not the chairman council of Velmoria Kingdom.
I heard little footsteps and smelled his daughter.
Samantha. She oozed a strange aura I couldn't understand. Caleb stood next to her too.
I quickly turned on my super-hearing ability as the guards dragged me out.
"Dad, you won't believe this. Aurora may not be human after all. Tonight she lifted me like I was paperweight and threw me yards away. No human can lift a werewolf. It's impossible," she explained.
"We underestimated her," Caleb budged in.
Oh great. They will figure it out soon.
The guards threw me out, and I lost my ability to hear more. I was now too far from them.
I got my black horse, Max. And for the first time in years, I rode my horse to the lycan king's kingdom.
I may come out dead, but that power the girl possesses is all mine.

AURORA'S POV
The lycan dragged me inside his castle like I weighed nothing—slung on his shoulder like I was prey. He threw me on the cold floor like a bug. My butt hurt from the fall.
What a way of treating a lady.
"You are wasting your time. My uncle would never show up! besides he wants me dead!"
He didn't answer. He sharpened his spear with something that looked like a skull.
By this time, he had already put on pants. Thank goodness. otherwise I would have climbed on his cock and rode on it till I was satisfied.
Was it even legal to have such thoughts against my captor?
"Let me go. I am not worth the fight," I muttered. I felt a pang of pain rush through my heart as I recalled Caleb's rejection.
That asshole. I wonder how long he was seeing Lola behind my back.
"Don't you ever stop talking?" He finally broke the silence, catching a glance as he looked behind.
"Sometimes. What is your name? At least you can tell me your name before you eat me. I know I am delicious."
He stayed silent for a moment like he was paying attention to something I couldn't hear.
"Damion," he answered. His voice was cold and lacked emotion. "And even if I had to eat you, I'd rather die of starvation than have such meat on my plate."
I don't know why I felt my heart crack in two. I should not care.
"I am delicious," I muttered softly.
"You wish," he said. "Wolves are disgusting."
I felt my head flash with anger. I was not a wolf....why should it bother me?
"No, we are not. We are super sexy," an ancient voice echoed from my mouth.
He snapped at me and raised one eyebrow.
"Oh really?" he said, walking slowly towards me with his dagger in his right hand. Muscles riped with each move he made.
I didn't say that. Was that my wolf?
Our eyes locked. I gulped. He crawled towards me slowly. I was not supposed to feel excited by the way he slowly moved towards me, cornering me till our noses touched.
He swiftly dragged out a huge snake that was behind me
"That's a poisonous ancient snake. One bite and you'll be joining your ancestors quicker than a vampire on a blood moon," he said.
Now I feel embarrassed. I thought we were about to kiss.
The door swung open.
My gaze got cold. My fists clenched.
Uncle Dexter.
"My little Aurora." He rushed towards me and hugged me like he wasn't recruiting a crowd to kill me hours ago.
"You are safe now, my niece," he said. "The lycan king won't hurt you."
I wish the lycan would kill me instead of going to this dreadful man. I would at least be killed by a sexy god.
"Dexter. You finally showed up. Seems you care about this little wolf after all."
"I did not get what we agreed for. I need more time to repay the debt. I know I owe you," Uncle Dexter begged.
Oh gosh, he looked miserable. Good.
"Then I would have to kill you both. Years have passed, you hid from me. Dexter, you thought you would get away with it?" Damion growled.
He swiftly grabbed Uncle Dexter by the neck. His tall frame made Uncle look like an ant.
But I felt scared. I'd die because of my dreadful uncle's sins.
"Please, I need time…" he begged.
"Nonsense. Do I look like a fool to you?" Damion scraped my uncle Dexter's face with his claws.
What time did those spring out?
"I have a proposal. You can take her. Marry her. She is beautiful and worth more than what we previously agreed on," Uncle pleaded. His voice cracked.
Yep, I am sure he's about to die, and I am next.
Wait, what?
"Marriage? To this beast?!" I snapped. "Kill me then."
Damion growled at me loud. I flinched.
"Do I look like I want a bride?!"
"Just think about this, Damion. I got a prophecy from Agatha, the old seer. Aurora is powerful. Imagine having a powerful woman by your side." Uncle Dexter urged further.
Damion shot a cold glance at me like he was looking at a piece of trash.
A smile slipped through his lips.
oh those appetizing lips.
"Fine. I will take her. But not as my bride," he said nonchalantly, letting go of Uncle Dexter before turning towards me and gripping my arm tightly.
"I will take her as my maid. My little servant," he snapped coldly. His stare sent shivers down my spine.
It was like he was staring into my soul.
"You don't understand, Damion. She is the chosen one. Her power isn't as it seems—"
"SILENCE! I don't care if she was the goddess herself. She will be my maid; she will serve me as her king. It's fun having power bowl before you, don't you think so, Aurora?" Damion glared at me.
How do I make them understand I wasn't powerful or chosen? I was just an ordinary girl who just wanted her cherry popped on her 19th birthday…
Then it dawned on me.
The vampire creature that chased me—it called me Chosen.
Could Uncle Dexter be right?
"Sera! Lucien! Drag this filthy man out of here and make sure he never comes back with any troops or soldiers," Damion ordered while he brushed his warm hand on my cheek. "If I see you recruit any wolves, I will kill every being in Velmoria Kingdom and take over as easy as that!"
His touch felt warm. I needed more. I was supposed to focus on the threats he was imposing.
Uncle Dexter was dragged out by two lycans.
I felt a sharp pain, my vision felt blurry. I squinted my eyes but I couldn't see through my glasses.
I needed my glasses.
Oh shit.
Damion let go of his grip on me, and threw me towards the ground. The glasses fell from the bridge of my nose.
"You asshole! You broke my glasses. How will I see without them!"
He smirked at me before stepping out with a second glance.
This mannerless beast.
Wait. I can see. Clearly.
For the first time, I looked around me...I could see without my glasses.
But how is it possible?!
Then I heard words, distant and faint—like someone was trying to connect to my mind.
"I will kill the King of Velmoria within seconds from now, and I will be the new Alpha king…!"
"Caleb?" I whispered, dread filling my voice.
