Chapter 153 - Fishing Enforcement

The next few days passed uneventfully, and the citizens of New York gradually forgot about the news of the "Tin Man Battle."

Honestly, those New Yorkers had short memories!

Li Qingyuan's personal supercomputer finally arrived. To fit the thing into his room, he had to hire someone to clean out the basement and reroute the pipes in the room.

Fortunately, the house he bought was big enough, or he wouldn't have had anywhere to put all those computer cases.

The Red Queen, although verbally scornful of someone's poverty, was very happy to get a new body. Its processing speed had increased many times over, and it also found backdoors left in the supercomputer.

It was just buying a supercomputer, but it had four backdoors installed. It was really hard to know what to say.

The competition between the intelligence agencies in the US was really intense!

Having decided to reveal a bit of his strength, Li Qingyuan directly instructed the Red Queen to destroy all four backdoor programs and launched a counter-offensive.

Although all the enemies were cautious and quickly blocked the Red Queen's intrusion, they all paid a certain price.

To be frank, the Red Queen, having a preliminary emotional program, was slightly more advanced than Jarvis. If Li Qingyuan didn't want to make things too tense, it would have been easy to hack into those guys' databases.

After all, only one of the four backdoor programs belonged to S.H.I.E.L.D.; the other three were likely from the CIA and IRS, among other departments.

He just wanted to give them a lesson, not to directly take down all of the U.S. intelligence agencies, so a small warning was enough.

Besides upgrading the Red Queen, he had also spent these past few days with Jill, touring all of Manhattan, hoping to encounter some wild superheroes or supervillains.

Those wild superheroes and supervillains, although they couldn't bring him the opportunity to travel through worlds, weren't his main goal anyway, which wasn't to use them to farm missions.

Originally, when he came to New York, besides it being the fastest and most mission-rich location, he also had the idea of becoming the puppet master of the entire Marvel world, but unfortunately, this idea was nipped in the bud before it even got started.

So, what Li Qingyuan is thinking now is whether he can catch a few more up-and-comers to help him out.

Last time, that Hydra agent, Ward, dared to threaten him, wasn't it because he didn't have any subordinates?

If he could just wave his hand and have ten or eight superpowered henchmen appear, see who would dare to bare their fangs at him in New York.

In a densely populated city like New York, superpowered individuals are the most formidable weapons. After all, no matter what organization it is, they wouldn't dare to unleash large-scale, powerful weapons in New York!

However, wild superheroes and supervillains are just too hard to find. The two of them have walked all over Manhattan these past few days, but they haven't found even a hint.

"Li, what should we do next?" Jill asked, looking at him while scooping a spoonful of ice cream and slowly savoring it.

"I don't know either. Things have been a bit too peaceful these past few days!" Li Qingyuan shrugged helplessly. Is this still the free America?

These past few days, following the standard procedure, he put on a flashy, nouveau riche outfit, and brought along Jill, a beautiful woman with a well-endowed figure and long legs. They specially sought out various secluded and deserted alleys, even going to Hell's Kitchen countless times, just to see if they could trigger a wild superpowered individual.

But heaven only knew what was going on; the security in Manhattan had gotten so good it was infuriating.

Five days now. For five days, the two of them hadn't encountered a single attack. Those black thugs who used to hang out in the alleys, waiting for business, had all but vanished! Of course, it couldn't be said that all the muggers were black; there were always a few of other races out of a hundred.

It's definitely not racial discrimination!

Li Qingyuan swore to God that he hated racial discrimination and black people the most in his life, and he meant no offense.

"Red Queen, check out what's going on," he said, raising his wrist and ordering Red Queen.

"Infiltrating the New York Police Department database, please wait," Red Queen started hacking without hesitation.

"Master, according to the database, a major casualty incident occurred in the Manhattan gangs six days ago. Approximately six hundred gang members died, so all the gang members are now hiding in their lairs and dare not come out," Red Queen pulled up the information in only thirty seconds because the New York Police Department's database wasn't even on par with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s headquarters' database in terms of defense.

"No wonder it's so quiet!" After listening to Red Queen's report, Li Qingyuan was stunned. He and Jill had been wasting their time for the past few days.

"Could you, next time you make a plan, have the Red Queen crunch some numbers first?!" Jill pinched the guy, annoyed. She'd been running around with him like an idiot for days, it was ridiculous.

"Check to see what caused the firefight!" While it was normal for New York gangs to kill each other, over six hundred deaths in one go meant there was a big problem.

Only those bottom-rung thugs would fight for some so-called sense of honor, but any guy who could become a gang leader would never truly go all-out.

"Data unavailable, no corresponding information within the New York Police Department," the Red Queen immediately replied.

"Interesting!" Li Qingyuan immediately became interested after hearing the Red Queen's report.

Even the New York Police Department didn't have corresponding information. Either the real reason for this firefight hadn't been found out yet, or this matter involved secrets, so it was deleted.

In any case, he was sure they'd find something new.

"Should we go investigate?" He pulled Jill to his side and asked softly.

"It's good to go check it out. I feel like I'm about to rust!" Jill nodded excitedly. The reason she'd been accompanying someone on fishing expeditions these past few days was largely because she wanted to punch someone.

There was no help for it. Jill had never been a quiet lady. If she didn't punch someone for three days, her hands would itch.

Unfortunately, Li Qingyuan only enjoyed certain specific types of combat activities, so she couldn't find anyone to practice with.

After all, she wasn't so crazy as to go out and beat someone up for no reason.

And Jill only liked the thrill of punching people; she wasn't into being beaten up herself. Therefore, that old man who looked so sleazy behind the street wasn't a good choice either.

Originally, she'd planned to look for some gang members or black thugs who didn't know any better, so she could use them as human punching bags. But who knew, after looking around for a few days, she hadn't seen anyone.

Now then!

Jill stated that she was ready to fight.
